What makes you say that?I'm sure there are more complicated compatibility issues than that.
Same here, I will wait for the final release.So Beta 5 does not panic anymore? I will still wait for the next official release.
p_kdp_enter() can't get x86_topo_lock! Debugging anyway! #YOLO

You may try AppleIntelMCEreporterDisabler kext wich is used on dual CPU systems.So I did a clean install on a spinner,
MP5.1 Dual 2xX5680 GT640 Sata SSD, Sata Spinner, AHCI Apple Blade
can't get BS to boot via OC (iMac Pro Spoofing, Firmware 99 Setting)
Get it to boot without OC with -no_compat_check
here's the Kernel Panic Log in case it helps:

OC should load it. By the way it is described in the first post of the OC thread.So there I have to use OC to load the kext - or fiddle the hell of it with BS to make the System Volume writeable?
Only if you are spoofing iMacPro or MP7,1. They don't have multiple CPU's hence this check on the Apple side. If there is nothing spoofed it should not panic even with OC.I barely have dual Mac Pros to deal with. An when I put Mojave on them.
btw it boots without OC
I dont doubt that the kext is needed, but in this case: why does that machine boots just fine without OC when MCEreporter is the culprit ?

I have not tested it. Going back to 11.2.3 is problematic.Is beta 6 is still problematic?
I would imagine loading the older kexts from previous version, either by deleting snapshots, installing kexts, then rebuilding snapshots or loading them via openCore would work.Apple has updated IOnvmefamily 577.60.13 -> 577.100.13 in Big Sur 11.3 beta 3, having an NVME drive in a pci slot causes assert failed..
Using an NVME drive on Big Sur beta 3 & later causes a kernel panic on boot. This may not be fixed with the release version of 11.3…
Not for people who boot from nvme’s! Like myself. SMH...I think your title is a bit overly dramatic. Not all 5,1’s have NVMe drives.
Any procedure for that? Loading via OC will not work. See my previous comment with the link to the issue.I would imagine loading the older kexts from previous version, either by deleting snapshots, installing kexts, then rebuilding snapshots or loading them via openCore would work.
Since BS actually boots from snapshots, you havr to delete snapshots. Install new kext, trbuild kextcache then rebuild snapshots. Google installing kexts in Big Sur. Or just disable snapshots altogether with jacklukeem’s basesystem fix in his github.Any procedure for that? Loading via OC will not work. See my previous comment with the link to the issue.
Don't want to disable snapshots. I want to keep the system as close As possible to the original.Since BS actually boots from snapshots, you havr to delete snapshots.
