Did you manage to pull this off?I will try to update the NVME driver inside the firmware from the MP6,1 firmware.
Sure but it does not help.Did you manage to pull this off?

Don't keep your hopes high. Read previous posts.Beta 8 is out, fingers crossed ?
System Version: macOS 11.3 (20E5231a)
commit 562f85685daa0aed7d98c591d39b8784e5519021
of OC.Interesting. I checked my computer in the morning and I saw NVMe kernel panic. Did NVRAM reset and found that Macintosh HD was missing from the boot picker. Booted to Big Sur and saw 10 minutes remaining (for installation). After booting to BS I realized that:

@Dayo the only different thing is RP X124 and thecommit 562f85685daa0aed7d98c591d39b8784e5519021
of OC.
Hmm, I just waited 40-50 seconds at the OC boot picker and it booted. Go figure.Could be just imagining this but had really good luck with an Opencore delay of 30 seconds, waiting for the time out to boot Mac OS 11.3 from a fresh startup. like 3 out of 4 good boots
IONVMEFamily fails but continues to boot sometimes
Did you check which kexts are mentioned in the backtrace in this case? Its not just nvme, had the same freeze with an ahci blade.
If you don't post something useful, please refrain from posting. All it does it creates noise, thank you.It seems weird to me to complain about a compatibility issue with a non-supported system. Big Sur isn’t suppose to work on 5,1 and older. You need a 6,1 or newer for Big Sur.
Latest 11.3 beta is 7, see https://developer.apple.com/support/install-beta/Does anyone have a link to download beta 2?
You have to patch the symbols first.Replace the nvme io by thé older
Symbols exported by both xnu and Apple kernel extensions will change. Recompile your kernel extension with each update to macOS Big Sur 11 beta to ensure compatibility. (64262563)
