@h9826790 Does this software work for macbooks as well? Also, I keep getting the unverified developer error when I open the prefpane app. I can allow it in the 'Security & privacy' only after I get the message 'could not open fan control preference pane', so I can't bypass the unverified error.

No, all data in the software are tailor make for the cMP 4,1/5,1.

Use that on any other Mac will cause unexpected fan behaviour.
