Jeez, this is getting ridiculous.

Maybe, an official song would cheer us up.

And the nominees are:

The Waiting (is the hardest part) - Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers
Don’t Want To Wait Anymore - The Tubes
The Game Don’t Wait - Warren G, featuring Nate Dogg, Snoop Dogg and Xzibit
Tired of Waiting for You - The Kinks
What You Waiting For? - Gwen Stefani
Tell Me Why I'm Waiting - Stract, featuring Shiloh Dynasty

And the winner is:

Tell Me Why I'm Waiting - Stract, featuring Shiloh Dynasty

I'm free over the weekend...tomorrow I'm going to record an official song for this thread LOL :p Dead serious btw. randomly I was in my music studio right now recording as I read this lololol

Engineer - "How much flex you want in this joint...?"

Producer - "All the flex, flex for days (with my ADAs)..."
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂. But just to be clear, I was performing that live for y’all and I don’t use flex. When recording I use melodyne 😂😂😂😂😂😂

I was more referring to a "flex" with the pan across all the speakers & monitors, then the SSL console with the motorized faders...

( ...you are both the Engineer and the Producer here... )

The last bit was a throwback to mid-1980s' guitar rackmount gear, "Tone for days with my ADAs." ;^p

Lololololol ahhh okay I feel you. There’s a thing called “Flex” in Logic that’s basically the built in version of Auto-tune. But now I know you’re a real studio man💯❤️. And yep I love the old studio gear from back in the day

I REALLY wish Apple would be progressive and include U.3 format drives. The new Micron 9400 Pro 32TB drive is an impressive package and if you put in interfaces for this, it would take the Mac Pro to the next level in storage.

Some old discussion on getting U.2 form factor drives to work on 2019 Mac Pro:

This looks excellent! As you know I think, I'm waiting to see if I'm just gonna grab my puget and upgrade my 7.1 Mac Pro. if I do, It will be this one if the Micron isn't available:

The OWC will likely be faster, but if you want that size it won’t be a boot drive. Problem is that I really want just one drive, for my organization purposes, and we have no raI’d solutions that’s bootable. So this will work for me and it’s under $5k.

Ahhhh you're saying at 64TB it won't be able to operate as the boot drive. Interesting. I didn't think about that.

Need a return of the four drive bays like in the pre-6,1 Mac Pros...

But rather than four SATAII, four U.3 hot-swap connectors, with a hardware RAID controller in the SoC...

So the boot/apps drive would be two (or four...?) NAND blades, bulk storage could be four 32TB (class) U.3 2.5" SSDs, and a 64TB OWC PCIe RAID card for a scratch/working drive...

Mmmmmm I see. I wasn't even thinking about that but glad ya'll brought it up! If I don't like what I hear when they announce the 8.1 then that's the path though. I'll be upgrading to th 64tb and 1.5tb of ram....might as well finish the max out of the 7.1 and just make it everything it can be and let it live alongside the Puget.

But, here's hoping the 8.1 is actually somehow more graphically powerful than the 7.1 and I can just upgrade! But...who knows lol.

I think the OWC will also have this limitation. If you fill it with 8 8tb sticks it can only be one 64tb drive if it’s not bootable since apple stopped support of bootable raid a while back.

Why? That’s like asking why a Stephen Segan movie is always so awesome:

I should do a Stevie Seegull movie binge (gotta specify, definitely don't wanna watch his TV stuff), but I am not sure I could withstand such ever-increasing punishment...?

EDIT TO ADD: I had to stop watching the above @ 5:47, couldn't take anymore, guess that's a negatory for a SS movie binge (thank ****)...

I was hoping my sarcasm of “great Stephen segal movies” was self evident. If you could binge his movies and survive, I’d say that is a personal top Everest moment! :D

Trust me, if WWDC 2023 keynote closes out and we know nothing in regards to an ASi Mac Pro, I'm gonna be a bit miffed...
It would be strange if we don't know anything by then.
Especially since it seems to have been more or less ready for a while. I guess Apple is just trying to find the right wording to explain the "GPU corner they designed themselves into".

I doubt they'd deign to bother. They'll just front it out by either not releasing the Mac Pro at all, waiting another year, or repositioning the Mac Pro in the market. There won't be an explanation; the public apology for the 6,1 was a one-off.
