Looks like I can make it!

Wow--Halo's FOV feels like sniper zoom after playing a lot of UT2004.
 
We had a few good games. About 5 people turned out? More next time hopefully.

Apparently there was some problems with lagging though....
If anyone has a powerful rig with a uber-fast internet, connection speak up!
 
I saw lag sometimes, but rarely. Sometimes there's no helping lag--it can just be the particular connection between one player and one host happens not to be good.
 
Good game tonight guys. We need some more people to show up next time though! too bad about the lag as well.
Well i have my MBP, and my high speed cable, but i still felt some lag. Maybe the internet was just having a wacky laggy day?

So how about next tuesday, game night??? 9 pm EST?
 
I've been hit pretty hard thesis writing, but I certainly will jump on this next time it goes live. Just post on here and I'll try to make an appearance.

I've been busy too, but in principle I look forward to another match :) I can even host--except then I have to be SURE I'm not too busy!
 
Stupid question

Anyone know if there's a way to retrieve serial info off your machine from the preferences... I've bought 2 Mac Halo copies (first disk cracked) but now can't find the stupid booklet with the serial to update to the Universal binary... and the game is now friggin over a 100 bucks on ebay... can't believe this. Amazon too...

Or has a copy they'd sell for a human price and not one billion dollars?

I don't understand why they can't just sell the universal digital file as a new copy, and charge a full price for that download. Annoying.
 
Yeah well, I don't have a macsoft.plist... only Halo prefs and installer.plist. And no I am not pirating the game, thanks. When I take those two files out of preferences folder, the game asks for serial, I put them back in... it launches fine. Installer has text edit info but usless, Halo prefs are blank even with Hexedit, plist editor.
 
can people with a demo play with people who have the full version? I have wanted to get the full but apple didnt have any, neither did amazon, i didnt even want to mess with ebay......
 
lol i wasnt really paying attention when i read it, then.

I'm down for thursday, if i have the time.
