The ultras have landed. Some, at least. In Europe. Sorry US: Memorial Day.

My order is shipping to store and I was able to obtain a tracking number. Looks like it cleared customs and it says it will be delivered June 1st to the store. I wonder when I'll be able to pick it up. Hopefully I'll have it by this weekend!

I am in the US

Apple is sending orders to the U.S. on UPS flights 61 and 63. Judging from UPS tracking updates that people are getting, most orders appear be on UPS61. If you look at the screen capture in the post just above this one, you'll see that @memo90061's order is going via Taiwan. It's on UPS61.

UPS61 is Hong Kong > Taiwan > Anchorage > Louisville.

UPS63 omits the stop in Taiwan, so it's Hong Kong > Anchorage > Louisville.

In Louisville, UPS transfers orders to its domestic flights depending on destination.

Flight Aware has live coverage:

UPS61: https://flightaware.com/live/flight/UPS61
UPS63: https://flightaware.com/live/flight/UPS63

Scroll down the page on these and you'll see connecting and past flights.

There can be differences between Flight Aware departure times and UPS tracking departure times. It's fairly clear that Flight Aware's times are correct and that UPS's tracking update times sometimes aren't.

Your order should arrive in Louisville tonight at about 1 AM EDT on the flight in the screen capture. Unless your Apple Store is somewhere out of the way, I don't see why it wouldn't be delivered to the store tomorrow. Earlier in this thread, someone in Paris picked up his Max at his local Apple store only a few hours after the Max arrived at Charles de Gaulle airport.

How accurate is apples shipping estimates? I just ordered a studio and its estimated a month and half away. Has it ever shipped a week or more sooner compared to the original estimate when they purchased it for anyone?

Lately, Apple's delivery estimates for Mac Studio M1 Max computers have been proving quite conservative. People are receiving their orders much sooner than promised. The situation with Ultra models is less clear.

However, Apple's estimates may be getting more accurate. Six weeks for a built-to-order Max is quite a bit faster than what Apple was promising a few weeks ago.

Some people have seemingly gotten their orders several weeks early. As it turns out, mine is scheduled to be delivered tomorrow, which is precisely the start of the estimated delivery date range (May 31-June 15th.) And that is 80 days in total. So the delivery estimates seem to vary quite a bit overall.

Right now my tracking says its in Chek Lap Kok since 5/27. Do you think its possible to be on a flight already and UPS will update it when it arrives in the US?

Delivery of Ultras has varied. Delivery of Maxes, to the vocal chagrin of people who ordered an Ultra ( :) ), has been consistently early for quite a while. I ordered a Max on April 1st (32 cores, 64GB memory, 2TB storage) that arrived on May 20th, which was 5½ weeks before the start of my original delivery window. That's been fairly typical of Max orders for the last few weeks.

However, Apple appears be using noticeably earlier delivery estimates for Maxes ordered now. I suspect that Apple is still being conservative about delivery (posts in this thread are indicative of the probable aggravation that Apple will face if it starts missing delivery windows, which so far appears to have happened rarely), but how conservative is an open question. In theory, it's in everybody's interest if delivery estimates are fairly accurate, especially with summer and vacations approaching.

There is apparently a backlog of freight at Hong Kong airport, and three or four days there is normal. Several people, including one recently, have had their order stall in Hong Kong for five days.

I think that it's unlikely that your order is on today's flight, but UPS has failed to tell you. I've yet to see anyone say that that happened with their tracking data.

My UPS tracking shipping progress is stuck at On Way to Chek Lap Kok, Hong Kong as of 5/28 at 5:46pm HKT. My estimated delivery date currently says May 31st, but I doubt that will be correct.
Like F-Train said there is a 3-5 day hold at Chek Lap Kok.
I hope by tomorrow morning to finally see an update on UPS website. Hong Kong is 12 hours ahead of New York, so by tomorrow morning UPS will have had a full working day to update shipping status.
One can only truly trust the estimated delivery date once it leaves Chek Lap Kok, Hong Kong.

If they release refurbished faster I’ll go that route. Doubtful though.
Agreed, I would not expect to see refurbed Ultras for quite some time still... But the discount should be substantial. Better yet, if you have a friend at Apple and combined you end up saving like a thousand bucks.
