Then for about a day, the money was back in my account, must be a hold with the bank, and then it's fully charged about a week before delivery/pickup.

Hurrah! My card just got charged, no change in delivery date/status yet, but at least something is happening!
So, my Mac Studio is meant to be delivered today by UPS...
However, given the journey it's been on so far I wouldn't be surprised that the next way point is Edinburgh!!

Still 4-5 weeks for BTO Max in UK (base model 2 days).
And 4-5 weeks for base or BTO Ultra.
I seem to remember that it depends on the BTO. Increased RAM and/or Ultra configurations seem to extend the wait.

I think location plays a large part.
Just realised that's the 'base ultra'.....
I could pick one up next Monday in the UK from another retailer....🤔

I can get the student discount, so that model is over £200 extra. I'd also rather have the ability to return the product without hassle within 14 days if it has coil whine, etc. Thanks though!
Stupid question. If I ordered the Mac Studio now and it says estimated delivery in 5 weeks, at what point is my card actually charged and what is the latest point at which I can cancel the order? Is there a specific point, e.g. the moment it ships from China the card is charged, for example, which could be several weeks after I place the order? Thanks.
