How to change my network channel?

Sorry to go on about this but, I get answers quick on this forum so.............. How do I change my network channel of my router or w/e? I just ran iStumbler and it shows that there are 3 other wireless networks in my area with the same frequency and channel as mine. This could have some reason to do with my speed...............Don't u think?

Anyone try Second Life? How does it run on a macbook?

I don't have frame rates or anything right now, but I CAN tell you that it runs just 'okay' on my C2D iMac and CD Macbook on default settings.

I know this is subjective and i'll try and get some frame rates

World of Warcraft:

On my CD BlackBook (2GB RAM) I'm getting an average of 20FPS with everything turned down to low. It's playable but gives me a headache after about 2 hours. Indoors I've seen the framerate go as high as 39, but oddly enough everything starts lagging more when the framerate goes up.

Now I'm even more mad

  Ok. Does any1 know of any mac forums based on internet problems with the macbook? I just had my friend round and, he brought his laptop. I think u can probs guess from me being mad that he got up to 16mb max. It averaged around 13mb, while me on macbook gets about 6mb average and, the latest so far about 9.64mb Max. My router is a NETGEAR DG384GT if that helps at all, and my ISP is Sky Broadband. Any help at all will be gladly appreciated but if u can't that's alright, cuz it is after all a forum about, gaming on a macbook, not random problems on a macbook. Thx anyway. (still flipin mad   )

I think we need to be more specific, Macbook now can many anything now, from 1.83 Core Duo w/512 or 2.13 Core 2 Duo w/2 GB. I'm confused because there happens to be a big (not significant) difference between just the two chips at the same clock speed.

Ok, I hope someone can answer my question, too: how well would Halo run one a MacBook (2.0 Ghz CD) with 2 GB of RAM?

Does anyone even read the banner ads on this website anymore? Crucial.com has 2 gigs of original base model macbook memory for $88!

I ordered last weekend and just installed today. I love it! It boots faster, less load time, everything is snappier and my work flow has improved. I'm visiting this forum because I want to get a feel how well the MB with 2 GB performs with games such as Halo.

Halo runs well at Highest settings on the Macbook with 2 gb ram. I think around 30 fps. If you get the universal binary version probs even better. Its a vid on youtube of it running on XP through bootcamp. Heres the link. http://youtube.com/watch?v=YSE7g0BhY-E Halo is at the end and at the beginning of this http://youtube.com/watch?v=lUS5nMWil6I&mode=related&search=

COD2 runs great on my MacBook at lowest texture settings (pretty good to be fair) and at 1024x680... its ~45fps
Sims 2 runs well... at lowest settings, but I dont need the same response time as COD2
UT (GOTY Edition) is the first game I got for mac and is the best. Runs at 60fps even though it isnt UB

is 2GB recomended, or should i save up for a new mac?

How does command and conquer 3 run

I have a 2.16 GHz C2D, 1 GB, 120 GB HD Mac book (White)
does it run smooth and would a RAm upgrade to 2 GB be necessary?

Where did you get that number from? My C2D MacBook with gig of RAM runs this game at minimum settings at only about 8-20 fps (when outside)

Then you really must have something wrong... i'm getting 20 fps at high settings so.. :p

I'm confused as to how you got BF2 to run. Battlefield 2 is known to not run on ANY computer with an intel GMA950, including the Macbook.

Either you mean a Macbook PRO, or the whole original post is ********.

Hey,

Does anyone know if it is even possible to get TESIV: Oblivion running on a Macbook? I wouldn't mind 640*480 resolutions. All I want is high texture detail (RAM should cover this no?) and a playable framerate. Is this doable?

You must be playing on a MacBook Pro.

On maximum settings the game slows to crawl (single-digit FPS).

What version of CoD2 are you using?

wow. I thought people stopped posting on here. U guys took so long to post something lol. I'm sorry to bust ur bubble but Oblivion(any of em) wont run on a macbook with highest textures. U can look at this vid for some ideas though. U might be able to get playable fps, but probs on the lowest.http://youtube.com/watch?v=15IDhCPC57M or http://youtube.com/watch?v=v3fil4ZzQnc&mode=related&search= Hope that helps.:)

Rome: Total War, Call of Duty 2 on Macbook or Pro?

Hello,

I'm in two minds at the moment whether to go for a Macbook, or pay the extra money for a Macbook Pro. I really want to play games such as; Rome: Total War, Medieval 2: Total War, Call of Duty 2 and Counter Strike Source. I know I would need to install Bootcamp, but would all of these games run well on the Macbook? thanks.

No. They would run like on a 3-year-old mid-range Mac, or worse. Believe me.
