Apple engineers are requesting a device capture - so I'll have third 2018MBP15 soon.
I’m also currently working with Apple engineers. They’re having me remove all third party audio software so as to isolate the problem. I’m using my RME with class compliant drivers now and the audio problems are even worse than with RME drivers. Audio glitches every couple seconds.

Interesting, how long have you had your Mac for, what did you say? And will they give you a new device in the interim, I don't mind going down that route as well tbh.

What was your full issue, was it bluetooth related or just speaker crackling?

hi, this rme interface, is it usb? how does it happen that you have glitches every couple seconds? on my focusrite i have it only once every 30 mins or so

Yeah I’m using usb. If I use RME’s drivers it only glitches like yours (every 30 minutes) but if I use Apple’s class compliant drivers instead, it’s literally every 2 seconds.

Can i also ask you to tell me which latency do you get at 128 samples? preferably in logic. also, put an I/O plugin and measure the offset at 44.1 (it should display value in samples) try it with different set-ups, with driver and without and restart DAW everytime that you change something. If you can =)

it seems that the beta 2 for now fixes both video glitches and the popping sound while you jumping through a video on youtube in safari...the only issue remains when you quit youtube or itunes sometimes still making the same popping sound
But again, after months, the 2018 seems almost perfect with no issues....Apple can't make a new product with almost bug free. the users/consumers are in present the QA department for Apple...nice, no $$ for QA, cost cu

As I said at the other thread...

I can't believe this is happening and Apple still remain silent. And it must be in a very wide scale, since the MacBooks that has been replaced, face the same issues all over again.
I want to buy one and I don't know what to do anymore... Three years and three models (2016-2017-2018) and problems keep coming...
:(:(

I now get the sixth MacBook Pro ... my left speaker has sounded like you're putting a foil in front of your mouth. Although quite quiet but very annoying in the long term. In addition, I have the touch bar over and over again at temperature changes had a loud crack. It is really unbelievable how Apple could only launch such devices ...

SU2 as mentioned before, doesn't fix all the issues...
As for beta 2 (you mean for Mojave?) is very good news that sorts out some even more of the problems/glitches and

The discussion you posted is between you and Apple in facebook? Also very welcoming news that Apple are aware of the problem and even more that it is NOT a hardware issue.

read again, i said, Apple isn't silent not that fixed everything...Yes beta 2 on Mojave is almost flawless...i had no issues also in Logic or garage app now with audio
That conversation is from our user from here with Apple

the cursed Kernel panic that everyone was talking about at the beginning seems to have disappeared? Are audio problems solved only with regard to playback from speakers or even from external devices?

external devices too for now, i hope they will not mess up
I never had Kernel panic, so i cannot test that or know if something is changed about that

do you seem to overcome the problems of sudden restarts and glitches of which you hear complaints? He does not know if you've ever had it.

I think at this point it is a problem of that specific unit because many do not have these problems. Try talking again with the support.

I bought it at the Apple Store online. (In Taiwan, we don't have a customize model sell in store) All MBPR was made from China, then send to Taiwan. (about 5 days) It also take about 2 week for a exchange one.
I afraid the recent made MBPR have this problem. I may try it for a week.

what do they say to your phone support?

Last week I called the Apple support. They tell me to reset the SMC and nvram. I did it, but it didn't help.
They also said no problem with the MBPR 13 sound.
By the way, the MBPR 2018 started to sell in Taiwan at 2018 8/24.

I think the recent made MBPR (may) have this problem? updated

But if your first unit had the issue too, how you conclude that it's the recent made ones that have problems?

Maybe I have misunderstood the timelne...

Yes. both of them have this issue

Sorry for that, I updated my previous comment.

honestly I had not noticed his previous comment.
I hope it resolves and I hope that getting an idea of how this new MPR behaves becomes easier in the short term. To all the people I asked on Youtube, they replied that they did not have KP problems and sound crackling with the update to Mojave. If Apple expresses itself on this it would be much better but it will doubt it.

After the latest posts from formik, I was about to buy mine at last tomorrow...
