These issues stem from 2016 model, and High Sierra. First-Gen is not the problem here.

I have this noise..
among the problems that you have encountered with this mac is "only" the one related to the audio? Famous panic kernels as well?Update: I bought a Thunderbolt 3 interface (Apollo X6), and I've had zero glitches. I'm using Ableton Live, and a bunch of other apps, WiFi and bluetooth are turned on, not a single glitch. Obviously this isn't a fix, since usb interfaces still aren't working, but I'm happy to finally have consistent audio without any dropouts.
No I’m definitely getting the kernel panics as well, every once in a while when I put my computer to sleep.among the problems that you have encountered with this mac is "only" the one related to the audio? Famous panic kernels as well?
I hope it's settled with the next version of macOS.No I’m definitely getting the kernel panics as well, every once in a while when I put my computer to sleep.
good to hear ... reading and asking on youtube many do not have these problems and are happy owners so I think you should see the numbers in a while to figure out how many units have been affected by these problems.i never got KP...now i have a full month with it...but i stood only a few days on Mojave official release...
Have you updates to the latest macOS ? And please confirm your versionIn Windows 10 / Bootcamp my DAC syncs without issues it seems. So the sync issues I am experiencing is OS X related.
On the other hand, the crackling speakers is still there on bootcamp when I was playing around in Windows 10. Will Apple fix this?
no its not and it isn't related 2 audio
that's really strange, when i've bought tb (probably 1st gen) interface (zoom tac 2r) connected over original apple adapter, it still had issues. of a same kind. so i returned itUpdate: I bought a Thunderbolt 3 interface (Apollo X6), and I've had zero glitches.
