Update: I bought a Thunderbolt 3 interface (Apollo X6), and I've had zero glitches. I'm using Ableton Live, and a bunch of other apps, WiFi and bluetooth are turned on, not a single glitch. Obviously this isn't a fix, since usb interfaces still aren't working, but I'm happy to finally have consistent audio without any dropouts.

I wonder if it's because by virtue of it being TB3 it uses it's own audio processor. Unlike any USB interface which would get signal from host, then process it.

I also have no idea what I'm talking about. :)

I’ll repost here when i get it and use some days

among the problems that you have encountered with this mac is "only" the one related to the audio? Famous panic kernels as well?

i never got KP...now i have a full month with it...but i stood only a few days on Mojave official release...
good to hear ... reading and asking on youtube many do not have these problems and are happy owners so I think you should see the numbers in a while to figure out how many units have been affected by these problems.

In Windows 10 / Bootcamp my DAC syncs without issues it seems. So the sync issues I am experiencing is OS X related.

On the other hand, the crackling speakers is still there on bootcamp when I was playing around in Windows 10. Will Apple fix this?

Have you updates to the latest macOS ? And please confirm your version

OSX 10.14.1 out today, included a T2 Firmware Update - from 16P375 to 16P1065

So far no glitches or drop outs on my 15"/i7/512/32 MBP.

Hopefully this marks the beginning of a proper OS.

for me just the popping sound is still here on safari, the safari full screen video glitch is fixed now but a minor new issue came when the time line bar on youtube hides, a small flick appear. That all, probably even this will be fixed in the next update
EDIT: for no reason the flickering issue is random now...

that's really strange, when i've bought tb (probably 1st gen) interface (zoom tac 2r) connected over original apple adapter, it still had issues. of a same kind. so i returned it

Seems that now even on iOS devices sometimes you get high pich poping sound when you closing a "on speaker" conversation

Apple Engineers looked through my logs and said there is a hardware fault with my device. They said I should take it to the genius bar to inspection, they assume my logic board is faulty. I'm going in next Wednesday to check this out, will report back then.

I've had this issue since I bought my Mac, so there isn't a chance that I'm having this repaired, rather get it replaced. Let's wait and see what they have to say.

Crazy how there's no unified answer from Apple. Or, not crazy, as they don't want to admit anything (especially in writing) as they could get in troubles for it.

Your guy says engineers found HW fault.

My guy says engineers are confident they found the issue and it's software.

My firewire interface has clicks and pops tho.

Hi All, newbie here. My left speaker is muffled on a Mid 2015 MBP, Retina, 15 incn. I just installed Mojave v 10.14, earlier this week. Headphones sound fine. I used Audio MIDI setup to mute the left speaker, the right sounds fine.

I live in Guam, so no Apple store. Anyway, just want to report my issue for the record!
