I consider myself outrageously picky when it comes to cases. Don't tell me you don't think this one isn't good enough... unless there's some weird feature set you want. This is premium looks, build, durability, and size.

I've seen the Joli Originals sleeves in person and they are far more beautiful than these in my opinion, and are very very very well made. Their customer service is also wonderful as well. I haven't dealt with Picaso Lab bags, but I can definitely vouch for the Joli Originals, they are of unbelievable quality and I am definitely getting one with my next Mac since they don't make one for my 15" Pro. I am so glad companies like this still exist today with wonderful hand made products and great customer service. Best of luck! Cheers!

Does anyone here have a hardgraft sleeve?

I am sorely tempted, but I have doubts buying a product in that price range unseen. I'd like to know if it is worth the cost, both in looks and in level of protection.

My laptop mostly travels in a Brenthaven backpack, so I am torn between buying a neoprene (booq vyper?) functional/protective sleeve or something a little more stylish, which I feel the new rMBP deserves.

does the colcasac fit the rmbp's? I know on their site it says its compatible with 13 15 and 17ers but the 13 is the one inside on their pics and it already looks really snug! i might order from them soon

To me, leather and a macbook seem to severely clash. If you are looking for a 'business' sleeve, there are quite a few out there.

I haven't seen the Booq ones in person but they seem pretty stylish without being the same old thing but you may be looking at different ones. They aren't Neoprene, looks like they are Nylon or Tweed? (they have a few different types, I pasted the pics of 2 different types below)

I know many have said that the Water Field ones are decent.

This one looks pretty businesses and functional.

I'm more of a casual girl (even with a corporate job) so I like things a bit more 'fun'.

They offer little impact protection. For that money I'll get the nice leather one ( PicasoLab's ) mentioned earlier on this thread.

Have been using their 11" MBA sleeve for almost 2 years. My experience is completely the opposite of what you're saying. I've had a really bad experience with neoprene sleeves (tucano) in the past, switched to foofbags after that and am really happy that I switched from that to the ones from Joli. :)

Although I prefer sleeves that have cover all around, the "It's not easy being green" from Foof looks pretty cool :)

I purchased the X pocket sleeve for a MacBook Air. It looks nice, but I think there are more appealing cases in the $125 price range (e.g., those Picaso Lab cases). Also, similar felt and leather cases can be had for less on Etsy. Regarding protection, the felt guards against scratches but little more.

Never heard of them and can't comment on their quality. It looks like a copy of the cases that incase and Speck sells. I would go with a speck case if I were you. They are the most popular and work like a charm .

Thanks mohsy90! I will check those out.

Does anyone have any experience with the wet application for Wrapsol? I'm concerned about getting moisture in my machine.

With any luck, those will come out before we get much older.

I've been following their twitter feed, they are expecting to have them sometime at the end of July to early August. I'd rather wait for the speck cases before jumping to these other companies I've never heard.

Im going to university this fall, and want to protect my future rMBP. How would you guys recommend I do that? I was thinking of using a Wrapsol and a sleeve, but the wet app for the Wrapsol has kinda turned me off it...

I had one for my MBP 13" and it will loosen up, almost to the point where it's almost too loose. Still, a very nice case and reasonably priced.

Just applied the wrap sol wet wrap to my rMBP two days ago. Was easy as you could move it around when still wet. I just made sure I used the cloth to catch any moisture that came out the sides. Also, for the bottom, just make sure you don't squeeze the water out to the vents without the cloth covering them and it will be fine.

My only concern with the wrap sol skin is the top is a couple of mm too short on either side of the lid (not really an issue but it's the only place you can see it).

I'd happily recommend getting one as a layer of protection. You can hardly tell it's there. I'm still on a hunt for a sleeve for when on the go though.

I think protection is the issue and Joli's remind me of SENA cases. Good looking but thin.

I have used the wet application Wrapsols on all of my devices, iPhone, iPad and Macbook Pro and refuse to use dry or gel applications. The wet application is no problem if done correctly. I place absorbent towels along the side of the device I'm working on so no water gets where it's not supposed to be. A wet application allows you to move the film around easily so it gets positioned correctly. I only use the included fluid for wetting my washed fingers. I then use soapy water on the film itself. It's a matter of holding the towel along the side you are squeegeeing to and then patting and wiping away all excess water as you go. I did my 2009 15" MBP in about 10 minutes. Turned it back on directly after and was good to go.

My ideal sleeve would be the Incase Neoprene Sleeve For MacBook Air. I don't know why Incase refuses to make this type of sleeve for any other size or style MacBook. Everything else has zippers or pockets and it's not that I am worried about a zipper scratching my rMBP or anything I just personally prefer this type of flap closure on the top. Has anyone seen this type of sleeve from another manufacturer?

I just got the Ogio Squadron RSS II and am extremely happy with it.

http://ogio.com/backpacks/squadron-rss-ii

Its not too big, has hardish sides to protect the laptop, a spot for my iPad and sunglasses, and enough room for a couple of t-shirts and shorts for te gym. It really isn't much bigger than my neoprene dual space shoulder bag for my old 17" MBP.

The RSS portion is supposed to be removable, but really isn't.

Anyone know of a really slim vertical sleeve I can slip in there with my rMBP so when I am at the airport I don't have to put my rMBP in a tray with no protection.

I mean REALLY thin, like paperclip thin, just to prevent scratches and scuffs at the airport.

And that's why there's room for multiple brands, because I really like the stitched look better. But I don't disagree those Joli Originals look great, as well. I just like the look of the Picasso better. :)

I've seen a couple. Crumpler has a thin one but it isn't specifically for the rMBP. This one claims to be the thinnest you can get:

There is also this one:

Oh and this one on Etsy:
