Sleeves will not protest from scratches....

I opt for a sleeve for when the MacBook is in transit, with a Nuvango (previously Genaskins) protective skin. I had one on my Air, and it worked amazingly. Saved the top case from many scratches and looked different than all the other Macs I've seen around.

I bought this hard shell after much deliberation. It looks superb, feels great and is cracking value for money. I would urge anybody after a hard shell to give it a go. I looked at the Specks in the Apple Store and was less than impressed: felt cheap, didn't look like it would provide good ventilation and was £40.

I really don't understand why anyone would get a hard case:
  • Poor ventilation
  • Plastic case itself is more susceptible to scratches -> ugly. Also the laptop itself is unlikely to be in anyway badly scratched because you only use a laptop when you set it down on a surface, unlike an iPad or iPhone.
I can ever only agree with using a sleeve/bag to protect the laptop when travelling.

I just bought a 2015 15-inch Retina MacBook Pro, I also got the Tech21 impact resistant shell case as you will see in the pics. Furthermore, I bought the Brenthaven Collins Plus messenger bag for work/school and it's amazing FOR ME. It's good for business/casual use. The MacBook fits extremely well with a thick book as you see in the pics and it fits well with regularly sized textbooks and a notebook.

Hey,

I am looking for a case/sleeve for a macbook pro 15 2015 which has a pocket for the adapter. not looking for somthing big.

I liked the Booq and Thule sleeves but they don't have a pocket for the adapter.

Hello there,

I'm waiting my MBP 13". I was thinking about buying a SPECK case. What's your opinion about it? Any better suggestion?

I just got a 13" retina and need a slim fitting case. Not hard plastic, but perhaps a PU leather. Something that clips onto the top and bottom sections of the computer without elastic strips which obscure the corners of the display.

I haven't seen anything out there, but if anyone can recommend something I'd appreciate it.

That bag looks really nice, I may have to pick one up. Let me know what you think when you get it.

I finally got it. Overall, I'm really happy with it. It's a bit hefty, but it's high quality with padded interiors, umpteen pockets, and mental buckles as opposed to cheap plastic. My only wish is that it was about an inch larger in terms of depth so that I could fit more books in it, but it's sufficient for my needs and will help force me to carry less weight. It's full of pocket. The flap (which velcros to the front has two large zip pockets on both sides which is perfect for an iPad or iPhone, notebook, etc. There is large slide in pocket on the back side for a notebook, or thin item. It has a 15" laptop pocket, one are main pocket, and then a few smaller open/zip pockets for miscellaneous items and in one pocket it has slots for pencils, calculators, etc. Kind of pocket overload, but it fits my needs and looks very stylish in my opinion.

Oh! And it has an adjustable strap with a movable shoulder pad so you don't sore from the weight.

The main complaint on amazon (it had 4.5 out of 5 stars) was that there was no handle on the top. I never use those anyway so that didn't bother me.

I have the 11" version for my MBA. Love everything about it except the color is not close to what they show in the photos. I wish they had a saddle brown version of that bag you picked up.

The color seems similar to me, but I'm colorblind so my opinion doesn't count there :p

I've been using a few days and I really like it. It feels quality and offers enough space. If I ever get a rMB (waiting for v3) I'll probably pick up another one made for that or the 11" MBA.

Got myself a satchel for my 15" rMBP.

The one thing I don't like about leather bags is that they add too much extra weight. The laptop is already heavy as it is and along with the other things in your bag and the extra weight of the leather is too much in my opinion.

Where did you get it?

It's fine for me, I don't wear it for hours on end. Perhaps 15-20 minutes maximum when I'm in London commuting.

I´m using the Moshi iGlaze on my 13" MBPr. Can anyone recommend a good sleeve that will fit my MBPr with the Moshi case attached? :)

Picked up the Tech21 Impact Snap case for my mid 2014 MBP 13 inch and I have only 1 regret...That I didn't buy it earlier. Feels great, fits great, and probably more protection than the speck or the incase hard shells i was looking at as well at the apple store.
