Has anyone found any 2016 13" Macbook pro hard cases yet out for purchase (not pre-order) ? I'm debating to get a hard clip on case or a skin like d-brand.

I have the Speck Satin for my 15" 2011, but I only used it for maybe a month after I got it. It added so much bulk and weight to my computer. I'm going with the leather-texture dbrand skin and hopefully the InCase Diamond Wire sleeve provided they make it for the new MBP.

looking for either a messenger bag or a nice backpack. anyone here have any experience with cote&ciel, waterfield, or padandquill? I really like that side profile of the nile from cote but I'm afraid it might look small on me since im tall and stocky.

Are you guys going to get a hard shell case for your new macbook pros? I kind of want to but i heard that the cases themselves end up scratching the macbook so you're better off not using one. Might just end up getting a sleeve or something

I'm going to wait and see what's available. I've had an incase on my 2011 MBA since I got it. I like it because it has a rubbery texture that makes it easier to grip, but it's thicker than I'd like.

It looks nice.

How is it to put a couple of bulky objects? I mean not flat stuff like a laptop or iPad, but more cubic. A problem I find in some of this bags is they are designed to put only flat/slim objects, so you have a hard time on putting something like a big HDD.

In the main bag area I fit size 13 dress shoes and a 64 oz water bottle, tons of other crap and there's plenty of room. It's meant for shoving a ton of stuff in it.

So will the keyboard keys imprint on the screen? Curious if the key protecters would be worth it to prevent screen scratching.

Most likely going with the sleeve.

Being a student that takes crowded public transportation with a stuffed backpack, I'm also very concerned about keyboard marks on the screen. I see so many other kids with marks all over their Mac screens and it drives me crazy.

I've read complaints about keyboard covers saying they mark up the screen, so I'm not taking a risk with them. I think I'm going to pre-order one of these. Kind of expensive for what it is but I think it's the best way to stop the keyboard from contacting the screen. You can also keep the little paper film that the MBP comes with if you want a free option, but the Radtech doubles as a cloth that can clean smudges from the screen which I like.

Between the ScreenSavrz, a Best Skins Ever matte skin (assuming they release them), and a sturdy sleeve, I think my MBP will be pretty well protected during my commute. If anybody could recommend a bulky, protective (especially from pressure) sleeve for these laptops I'd appreciate it, although I'm sure there aren't many options yet. I want something I can run over with a car and feel confident that the MBP will be safe.

That one looks nice. It would be nice if it was sold on Amazon but I only see old models.

I'm waiting for the Incase sleeves with Tensaerlite. I think they provide good protection and meanwhile I'm also looking for a keyboard clear cover so I can keep the keyboard with the matte finish.

Any recommendations?

hi guys. I just preordered the new MacBook Pro 13in with touchbar and I'd really like to buy a sleeve since I'll be carrying it around in my backpack around campus. (prevent scratches and dents, etc)

from what I've read on this forum is that a lot of people really like Incase icon sleeve due to its protection. however is it water resistant as well? this is because I've had days where I've been in pretty heavy rain and my notebooks in my bookbag have been soaked. I did have a naked MacBook Pro in there as well once and although the exterior was dripping wet, it was fine. however, id rather not take my chances again with my new MacBook.

what sleeve would you guys recommend?

I've also been looking at this one because of its high reviews on Amazon and best selling sleeve. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00VVLEKY4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_g72iybTP9FSCS

ps. I also know that sleeves for the new redesign aren't out.

It's maybe been posted here already, but Pack & Smooch have updated their website with new cases for the new MacBook Pros! Looks like they ship out from the 16th of November onwards - available in their usual two standard colors.

Interestingly the description says this version closes via two magnets (versus the older versions two press studs).
I own two of the press stud Pack & Smooch cases (one for my rMBP and one for my MacBook Air). They're very good quality, have had no issues with any scratching (no metal parts touch the actual MacBook while it is in the case, only the material) so I've ordered one for my new MacBook Pro with Touch Bar! :D
