I know this thread is for Retina MacBook Pros, but since I can't find a thread for the late 2016 MacBook Pros, I thought I'd ask this here. Due to the dearth of cases for the 2016 MBP, how well would a Retina MacBook Pro or MacBook Air sleeve fit? Incase is having a 50% off everything sale for Cyber Monday, and the one I'm looking at is the Slim Sleeve 13". Has anyone personally tried these on the new MBPs? Thank you.

Word is that the incase slim lseeve for the ipad pro actually works very well for our macbook. Only problem for me is the grey version is sold out on incase, and I cannot stand the color of the brownish one.

A plug for the Tom Bihn sleeve. I used one for my older 15" MBP, and now using one for the 2016 15" MBP. Very nice, simple, get's the job done with adequate cushioning (though yes higher cost and shipping costs compared to what's on Amazon).
That thing looks so nice.... there are just so many cheap alternatives D:

Thanks! Looks like that's the official word from Incase on their Facebook page. I see the black and khaki options are available. Is this what you're looking at?

Just picked up the 15-15.4" inateck for my girlfriends 2008 MacBook Pro. Wish it properly fit the 2016 15" MacBook Pro, because $19.99 is a steal.

I have just purchased the case below from Amazon UK as a stop gap until more cases are released from the big case manufacturers. This is for my 15 inch touch RMP.

The internal dimensions are only slightly bigger than the Macbook so I am hoping for a snug fit. I will let you know how I get on when it arrives at the weekend.

For those looking for a good fit for their 2016 13' MBP, i've been using this case since last week :

https://www.amazon.com/ProCase-12-U...TF8&qid=1480430905&sr=8-1&keywords=ProCase+12

I am very very pleased so far.

Nice quality build and feeling, nice rigidity and padding overall. Almost a perfect fit (a little bit of room left but barely noticeable). Handle is nice and the front pocket is surprisingly big. Can fit cables and dongle. Can also fit the power adapter if you need to.

Just called InCase. Rep. told me she expected the 2016 MBP cases to be released after January 1st, although she hoped it would be before the holidays but didn't think it would happen especially with how busy they are now after their 50% off sale.

She offered me the iPad pro 12.9 case for 50% off still but I declined. Going to look for an alternative now.

Thanks.....Great info. Nice to know where they stand. I'll probably hold off due to not receiving my MacBook Pro until mid December. Thanks again, Ray

Nice. That's enough time for me to wait and get a new case.

That looks pretty good actually - have you got your Macbook yet to test it out? What is the fit like and does it offer much protection?

Cheers
I do, its fit perfectly. The felt is really good quality, quite thick and the inside is lined with some 'fluffy stuff'

I also recommend the sleeve from sfbags.com. Mine arrives in Thursday. I got the waxed canvas to match my backpack from then. Got the one in vertical orientation so I can take the MacBook out without having to take the sleeve out of the backpack.

The buckle is sturdy and feels nice. I have tried to get the buckle to unclasp when it is secured and it will not budge. Feels like very heavy plastic. The bag is also deceptively and surprisingly large and I have not gotten even close to filling it to a point where the bag is hard to close. If anything the more full it is the easier it is to close the clasp.
Thank you. Just ordered :D
