I'm going on a trip. What's a good case for someone who hates cases in general, but also doesn't want their beautiful new 15-in. MacBook Pro broken or scratched when traveling on multiple airlines internationally?

Thanks a bunch!

Literally 100% of cases will protect your computer from being scratched.

Have anyone tried this sleeve for the 15 mbp w/tb? https://www.amazon.co.uk/Tomtoc-15-...01MDQ6AE2/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8

It looks fine but i don't know how it will fit my new mbp w/tb...

Any advice is appreciated :)
I've also been looking at this one, but I'm afraid of getting one and then it won't fit. I bought another one on amazon and it didn't fit well on the new MBP, so I ended giving it to my gilfriend (she has the previous 15" model). I'll wait for a while till they make some spexifically for the new MBP.

I was debating getting the Incase Icon Slim and then I found this bag and jumped on it Ebags Professional Slim Laptop Backpack. I love the idea of the hardcase for powerbrick storage and and the compartments meaning I won't need to have a bunch of cable bags stuffed into my backpack. Also, the price was right.

Have any of you used one? What has your experience been?

I just ordered this bag as well and will post a review once I get it. Being a college student I'm worried I won't be able to fit my textbooks in it? Do you think there is enough room to fit 1-2 college textbooks?

Bought a square of 3mm thick, 100% wool, dark grey felt. Took it to my uncle who tailors suits and had him fit it to my 13". Added a pocket to the front to keep track of those pesky dongles, and maybe slip a kindle in there too for when travelling. I also decided to have it with the opening on the thin edge. Means I can charge with the MBP in the sleeve if needs be (haven't noticed any warmth issues).

Watching some of the YouTube videos I think it will depend on how big your books are, but I bet you can if they're not ginormus. Mine is supposed to be here tomorrow, but it's shipping ground and UPS doesn't have it yet so...

Hi guys!!

Incase now sells the Slim Sleeve as compatible with new macbook pro. Could we someone verify this? Form factor of new macbook pro and old one are really different (~20% less volume) so has someone tried if the fit is good??

I think they're kinda BS'ing us. If you look at the specs for the "new MBP" case it lists compatibility with the old 15" as well... if it will work for the old one it's going to be too big for the new one. Incase really needs to knock that off...

So I received the Pack & Smooch Hampshire for the old 15" MBP (preRetina long story why I ordered this one) and as expected the new MBP fits in with lots of room. The quality is great and I would definitely recommend it (however get the new one for a better fit). But with the added space it allows me to place an external HD with a few cables and it's not too tight.

You should show your uncle what some of these sellers are getting for a pouch. He might dump suits in favor of three seams and a pouch.

You should see what he charges for his suits!

To be fair, although the pouches you see around are pretty pricey, the material was much more than I was expecting it to be. I could probably get two cases like mine out of what I bought, but that cost me nearly £30. The 100% wool stuff gets expensive when you need it to be 3mm thick.

I do still still have some material left over so may get him to do another then flog it on ebay or something.

I picked up the slim sleeve for my 15" tbMBP and while it's not a perfect fit, I've tried several other sleeves and it fits the best. It will hold me over until they come out with some proper sleeves early next year I would definitely recommend it.

Etsy.com has a bunch if sleeves that can be customized. Mine should be here today .... Still don't have my MacBook Pro 15" yet ....smh

Anyone see any news on when incase will release their hardshell cases for the new MBP's?

Please, could you upload some pics showing the fit or a small video? I'd really appreciate this. Thank you very much!!
[doublepost=1481665812][/doublepost]I've almost decided to pull the trigger with the Incase Slim Sleeve for my new 13" MBPtb.(it's my favorite case)The slim sleeve has a really tight fit with the old retina model... do you think if Incase has listed the model as "new macbook pro model" they are going to release a new version exclusively for the new mbptb?? What do you think about picking up it?

So there aren't any hardshells available for the new 15" available in Europe?

I was never a hardshell guy but considering the cost of the machine I wanna give it a try. I also like the idea of just putting the machine directly in my backback and not having to take it in and out of a sleeve all the time.
