Hi guys,

My wife recently got a 2021 16" MacBook Pro for work, and she's concerned about drop protection since she's not used to the size of this bigun. She doesn't want a sleeve, and a skin won't help the drop situation.

What would you recommend as the least-bulky full-cover case for this model?

it’s a good combination of slim+protection. I bought it in a sale so I think I got an old version or something. But it doesn’t add a lot of bulk.

Diablo III is flashier and faster than Diablo II. I actually install old Diablo II on parallels because we don’t have the remake :(.
And it hates to say this as an old time d2 fan, d2 classic is didn’t stand the test of time for me.
Hey I bought that case yesterday at Apple. It looks really thin but it said it's for the 13" MBP, no years though.

The MBP fits great but I really wish there was a slot on the side for at least a dongle or something. Although it would be hard to get it out if it fell to the bottom. I've been taking my MBP to work to do some presentations and need a dongle.

I recently got this one…> https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09R782P1R?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&ref_=cm_sw_r_cp_ud_dp_GYHNBPZ95C613F4CGC60 < you can get different colors; I got clear to allow the skin to show through.

I love the case, but I never take my MacBook only. I always have my backpack with me with other stuff: iPad, Pencil, and a dock. I wouldn’t recommend to put a dongle with your MacBook in the same pocket in your sleeve.

It’s slim and tight and that’s how you scratch the casing of the MacBook.

Yeah I won't be doing that. I don't know why but I thought there was a little pocket on the outside for paper or maybe a lightning cable. I'll just put the dongle in my back pocket when needed.

Had anyone used this sleeve?

It looks nice. It has an additional compartment. And a separate pouch. All for a good price?

What do you guys think?

I'm having a hard time finding anything but cheap junk for the 16 M1 Macbook Pro. I was hoping to buy an incase ICON, but it looks like its only for previous intel models.

Tomtoc's 16" MBP sleeve has served me well so far. Good build quality, well padded, reasonable price.

Hello all!

What backpacks do you use for everyday transportation for your MacBook/work/college.

Since I started my study beginning of this year and I need to carry my laptop to college and everyday to work.
I bought a XD design Bobby xl

It was the worst purchase backpack wise ever for me. It was big and clumsy (sleek design fooled me) and after 3 months of struggling to like it, I sold it.

I used my trustworthy old Herschel little America 25 liter.
Awesome bag and I absolutely love it. But the simple concept is too simple with only 1 large compartment, a front pocket and a beautiful laptop section.
The straps are always in the way and the lack of a bottle holder and easy access for my keys or something
And when I rode in heavy heavy rain today, some items that were on the bottom were a little moist. I was on the bike and probably water was splashing under it and I put it on the wet floor for a moment.
Still a great backpack for other purposes.

Before I always used dakine back packs, but they always look too much like a square box when loaded with my things.

Decided to try a brand I always saw in recommendations but never tried myself. https://www.thule.com/nl-nl/backpacks/laptop-backpacks/thule-construct-backpack-24l-_-3204167

Looks like a good choice with a bottle holder and some easy access pockets.
The front section with jacket holder also looks good, so I don’t have to put my jacket under my arm straps.

A good laptop section is welcome, but I always put my mbp m1 13 in an awesome incase icon sleeve.

I got lucky when I saw a sale on these "tactical" military style bug-out bags. I'm pretty sure this is it. The price was discounted I think 50% from their online price of $55. It feels much smaller (9.8" * 8.6" * 17") than a typical backpack, but so far has fit whatever I needed. I wish I would have bought a few more when I had the chance at that price. It makes a great tech bag too, with loads of pockets, zippers, and velcro slots for all your computers and dongles.

I've been working in a big church a/v room with old and new equipment, so I covered all my bases with a 2009 13" MBP, 2021 16" MBP, ipad, and lots of oddball, outdated cables - all separated from each other, but compact enough that nothing is bouncing around. I usually just use it to carry the 16" MBP, which fits perfectly, as does the 13".

It's almost like it was made for the macs.

I found this one on promotion here in the netherlands, so i went for this one. (€50)
Thanks for all the suggestions, i always like to read about backpacks, because a good backpack for our gear is essential and when its right it makes life easier.

Its fits my macbook, ipad with pencil, bluetooth mouse (logitech pebble) and all my other essentials (pens, cleaning cloths, neccersary chargers and powerbanks, water bottle, bunch of food and 2 big binders i need for college.
It has a nice hardcase pocket on top for glasses or when i want tot store my watch, phone and earbuds wen at work.

The straps on the fron can open wide so i can put (as advertised) a sweater in there, it fits my sony headset case like a glove as well.

Classy, extremely sturdy with great padding:

I'm using the Waterfield sleeve case too. It turns out the 2021 MacBook Pro 16" is awfully close to the size of a 2013 MacBook Pro 15", so I was able to just reuse the case I got for the 2013 model.

I can give a +1 for a Tomtoc case. I have a different version than the one linked above, but I've had mine for about a year now and it's held up very well and suits my needs perfectly. The outside pocket on mine has elastic holders inside of it that hold the power brick perfectly in place, and it has enough room left over for a usb numpad, portable HD, and whatever cables or usb sticks I need to carry with me. It scores low in the aesthetics department, but when it comes to the thing protecting my laptop I prefer function over form anyway.

Much more expensive than the one I got but DANG that is a nice one. Gonna try to remember this brand for the next time I need one!

I have been using Mosiso for years now. Intentionally went with them for my 16' MBP this year. Not disappointed!

The inside thick felt is a must for me.
I’m looking at this one, but someone has said in the reviews that the the sleeve’s a little too big for the 16” MBP. Did you find your sleeve was too big? MOSISO Laptop Sleeve Case Compatible with MacBook Pro 16 inch 2021 M1 Pro/M1 Max A2485/2019-2020 A2141/Pro Retina 15 A1398, 15-15.6 inch Notebook, Sea Wave Polyester Vertical Bag Cover with Pocket https://amzn.eu/d/cPtTVvB

And does it matter if it is a little too big? My concern is it might not offer enough protection.

It is a little big - but the inside is pretty thick with fluff so it works pretty well. I put my laptop in it and then put it in my backpack and it protects the laptop - the thick felt inside does a good job.

The images in the one you linked looks very similar to what I have on the inside.

For me it hasn't bothered or mattered to me. But someone wanting a really snug fit may not like it.

Thank mate. I like the look of it so think I’ll just order it. Shame I don’t get the ouch though!

Any chance you can put up a few picks of yours with shot of the inside and fit with the mbp please?
