Tumi Kingsville or Tumi Lemoore bag?

Hi all...I am trying to decide between the following two bags....I currently have a wheeled leather Tumi computer brief as well as a duffle bag for carry on. I would like to be able to combine all into one bag as my travel has increased quite a bit recently. My only hesitation is that the Tumi Lemoore bag doesnt have laptop protection included. Would grabbing a sleeve (like this one - http://www.tumi.com/product/index.jsp?productId=24709876&prodFindSrc=paramNav) for my laptop provide just as much protection? The Kingsville bag seems a bit small for what I am trying to accomplish. Thanks.

How bizarre.. first I've heard of differences between regions.

Given that the warranty for Apple laptops is worldwide, I wonder how that works if you get a sound problem while travelling or having moved with your Retina Macbook Pro.

Now that I look, my 15" late-2013 (Haswell) Retina Pro has no mic holes that I can find either. I'll bet they are in the speaker grills?

I still love my Joli sleeve, I went for the Grey/Red on and it's great!

Now I'm looking for a proper messengerbag for my 15". For my backpack I've switched to a Chrome backpack, but I don't really like their messenger bags. Does anyone have a tip for one that's made out of leather, canvas or at least something that's not nylon?

Looking for a sleeve for my late 2013 rMBP. I want something where the opening can close (like a flap) but no zips.
Any recommendations?

Does anyone have any experience opinions on the Thule Straven Deluxe Attache?

My main thing is, is it pretty good at protecting the macbook?

I've been using the same case for 7 years now (first for my macbook than my MBP) but I'm thinking it's too loose now for my rMBP (I don't want it moving around, loses being able to be that protective if it is sliding around and it looks small in it).

How good is it in comparision to the in case equivelant? (I liked my old in case but I think I liked the format of this one a little better this time).

Thanks for the suggestion, it's pricey (€129.00 for the 15" version...) but I'm tempted!
I should've mentioned it's for a 15 inch.
Any other suggestions for a 15" rMBP sleeve without zips before I blow my budget?

PS. Don't worry about the price I just want options :)

SF Bags laptop Sleeve Case.

I have one with the brown leather bottom and the flap closure. It is nice and I like it a lot (even though I'm trying to decide whether I'm going to keep it or not).

Pack & Smooch do the same sleeve for 15" too. I can also recommend Waterfield as suggested by NativeTxn, I have the CitySlicker too and its excellent quality.

I just looked at that case and the other Thule that is more of a rigid type. After trying all the cases on for size I picked the incase bag.

The bag has a nice thick pad around the inside along the edges that does a good job of gripping my rMBP.

I also picked up a clear Speck cover at the same time. Gives me a better grip when handling a $3200 dollar laptop.

You can also try the less popular SwitchEasy Thins. It uses a magnetic enclosure and has a MagSafe 2 adapter holder. Also useful for tiny flash drives.

I'm looking forward to buy a Twelve South BookBook (and having a beautiful case imitating a book seems to be a plus against thieves) but I haven't seen many opinions around.
Does anyone owne(d) this case?

I was looking at this one too, but the reviews I've read suggest that it fits the Air much better than the Pro. So I planned to wait and see if a better fitting one would become available.

I just got my first macbook late 2013 rMBP. I was thinking along the lines of a hard shell. what do you think and can you point me to any good brands.

I don't recommend putting a case on your rMBP. I currently have a 2010 13" MBP that I put 3 Speck cases on for over two years and within the first few months it got scratched from the dust that gathers up (even though I used to clean it every one or two months). I wholeheartedly agree with this:

Sleeves protect while in transit, or more specifically, when it's not being used.

Cases stay on and adds bulk, weight, and turns a beautiful design ugly.

Cases really do add a lot of weight even though they may be plastic. Been using an Incase sleeve very similar to this that I bought along with my MBP back in 2010 for over a year now and hasn't disappointed me:

Will definitely go for this though when I purchase rMBP later this year as it also fits iPad.

This would be a useful comment if you specified which cases, and whether or not you regularly cleaned the computer by taking the cases off from time to time.

It's sortof related, but I have an iPod nano that's more than 5 years old. For the first couple, I put a case on it, and all that did was trap debris. The paint on the aluminum, screen (case covered the screen) and track wheel are all scratched in odd patterns. I would never put my $2k Mac in a hardshell case, even for short periods of time. All my apple products are naked.

Again, which case? How often did you clean it?

I've used InCase and other hard-shells cases, carefully. Zero scratches from "debris." Makes it sound like people have beach debris floating into their MacBook Pro cases.

Came here to recommend the Booq Taipan Superslim shoulder bag for the Retina Pro 13. It's barely any bigger than a sleeve, with some handy side pockets (which my iPad Mini fits into), handles and a shoulder strap. Perfect for carrying around my MacBook, and pretty reasonably priced.

On the other hand, I also bought the Booq Mamba 13 sleeve and I'm not as pleased with that. While I like the look and build quality, it's a little too big for the Retina 13. I guess it's my bad for not checking the dimensions more carefully before ordering, though I had called and asked Booq about whether it would be a reasonably tight fit, before ordering, and they said it would be.
