So...has anyone actually successfully completed an order from pack & smooch? Do you just use their etsy shop and not their direct site? Their direct site is a freaking disaster. Can't select my state, keep getting shipped to their german site, keep getting errors when trying to check out. It seems like they really do not want my money.

Are in the US? They are available on Amazon.

Yes. I have used both etsy and amazon. Got both shipments in about 2 weeks, delivered to Chicago. Great product. A little expensive, but highly recommended.

Please Suggest Between these Two Hard Cases for the rMBP 15" ?

What do you guys think is a better option to go for the Moshi iGlaze Hard Shell case for the rMBP 15 Inch or the Speck Satin See through Hard case for the rMBP 15" ? Somehow I like the texture of the Speck Satin Case. I know some of the guys here have put a comment that the Speck Satin Case wears off after some time but I believe it also purely depends on how you use it. so...I mean I believe that can be handled if taken care properly. So anyways what would be a better choice between the above two ?

Is it for the 2012 or 2013 MacBook Pro with Retina 15"?

I don't think either (or any) case yet accounts for the new side microphone ports on the 2013 15".

See if you can find an InCase Hammered Hardshell, in black, for the 2012 15" Retina. It's not satin-y but the texture is great, the Apple shines through also. It just isn't cut for the 2013 Retina's new microphone ports--like all the other hard cases.

I got mine directly from Apple (Canada).

Mine is Late 2012 !

I like both, having used both, although I used the satin on the Air. They're different things.. You might think the Hammered case takes getting used to, but I found I got used to it right away.

Been using this backpack for a few days, and it really seems solid. I really enjoy the laptop compartment, but as I have the bag organized, I have to have my 15" rMBP charger split into two compartments. I figure if I use my brain, I won't have to do that, but extra brain cycles are hard to come by these days.

Got my brown leather sleeve from MintCases about 6 weeks ago.

Has held up wonderfully; stitches are all still perfect. I carry it with me daily, inside of a backpack and out. The leather is soft to the touch and will look better and better the more scuffed it gets (it's not scuffing easily with minor care by myself). The wool lining has not scratched my 15" MBP at all, and it fits snugly.

It is much less shiny than the pictures on their website. The pics on the website almost look like it has that shiny, synthetic leather look. None of that here; no mistaking it for faux leather. The leather is quite thick too, they definitely didn't skimp on materials.

I am staying with these guys for when I need an iPad sleeve.

Just ordered a clear (no colour) SeeThru Speck case for my 13" rMBP
Hoping it works out well.
Between school, home and friends places I feel as though I'm pretty safe with my Macbook, storage and move it in a Targus laptop bag. However thinking ahead to working at camp this summer I feel that having a case to keep it in top condition would be a good idea. I like the idea of decorating the case to :)

Anyone else relate to this case? Did I make a terrible decision or do I have a decent product coming my way.

I got the otterbox clearly for the rmbp 15.4". It's fantastic. No one at work could say there is a film over the macbook. The only negative is the skin on the wrist pad is not accurate. I also ordered the bestskinsever matte finish for the side protection. Haven't applied it yet. Will do it tonight.

How long does picasolab take to make and deliver a sleeve if ordered now. I know until few months back they took a very long time. But I guess that was peak season when the new Apple products arrived. Any one ordered a new sleeve from them recently?

I have to agree I have had a brown leather sleeve for my 13" rMBP for about 6 weeks as well and I can say I agree entirely with your comments. It is a nice leather sleeve that protects the MacBook really well and allows me to swap between briefcases, backpacks and messenger bags without a moments thought. I can happily recommend this sleeve.

I am a huge Waterfield Designs fan.

Summer of 2006 I purchased the "full meal deal" Cargo Mambo Combo in "Lead Indium". Carried a 17" MacBook Pro and eventually a 15" MacBook Pro plus paperwork, books, snacks, drinks, lunches, daily for over 5 years.. Cat even nearly made it to work in it one day! Multitude of interior and exterior pockets to stash things... the entire package barely shows any wear!

Now, today I am going back to school and I use it to carry a 13" rMBP along with lunches, books, lots of books and everything you can think of for the day to day. I splurged and picked up a new shoulder pad as that is one thing that has definitely softened/flattened a little. The new one has been upgraded to a very soft rubber for the clothing side. Ordered a new SleeveCase and again, home run. Absolutely perfect fit. Massive strip of velcro holding the large flap closed, fantastic soft interior padding, pull ring on the opposite side of flap to hold when pulling laptop out...

The construction quality of everything I have purchased from them has been exceptional. Highly, highly recommend. If anyone wants pics, I can snap some, but I guess you know what it all looks like.

I need a sleeve!

Hi,

I recently bought a new 13" macbook pro retina, and need a sleeve. I'm a college student, and commute to and from school/everywhere on my bicycle. With that said, my laptop will always be in my roll top bag when commuting, and never in a sleeve on its own.

This is the roll top bag that I have: http://www.freightbags.com/collections/store/products/rolltop-navy-1

I added a laptop sleeve to the bag, but it is by no means an additional source of protection. Rather, it is just a thin piece of material that separates the laptop from my books/change of clothes/cameras.

After spending a few days looking for a sleeve designed specifically to fit a 13 rBMP, I came across Tom Bihn bags, and I believe I am sold. But I am having a bit of a dilemma.

I can't decide if I should go with the cache: http://www.tombihn.com/laptop-bags/TB0350.html

Or the vertical brain cell: http://www.tombihn.com/laptop-bags/TB0390.html

I like the protection that the vertical brain cell provides, but am wondering if it is overkill. Also, I can do without the extra pockets as I have no problem tossing my charger in a side pocket and putting my superdrive in an additional soft case. And like I said, I'll never have the laptop by itself and saving room in my roll top is an issue.

According to the dimensions not the Tom Bihn site, the brain cell isn't THAT much bigger. It's interior dimensions are just about the same. The exterior's height is .9" larger, it is .4" thicker, and weights 8 ounces more. I wonder if I'd notice much a difference?

Will the cache suffice for my needs? I am worried about the weight of the textbooks crushing down on the laptop. Am I being paranoid? Of all the sleeves I've looked at, the Tom Bihn stuff looks top notch.

Here is my roll top:

Here is the inside of the bag (empty):

This is what my daily load might look like, but sometimes I'll just have a couple notebooks, a textbook, and a few groceries:

I should also add that my bag is handmade by a well known and highly respected company and is waterproof.

Thank you in advance!

After weeks of searching and reading in forums.... I just found the perfect sleeve I think :)

I wanted one sleeve that fits perfectly without any more pockets or whatsoever.

Booq Taipan Spacesuit

I will inform you whenever it arrives.

Just received the CitySlicker Macbook case from Waterfield Design. It is absolutely lovely and fits my Macbook perfectly, loving it. It also offers some great protection.

Expensive especially with shipping fees and import tax to UK, but totally worth it.
