I received my 15" MBP as part of the first EU wave way back when.
Recently it's developed a weird rattle when it's set down on a hard surface, or when it's on a hard surface and it tapped firmly on the metal bar in between the trackpad and the keyboard.
It's really hard to describe the sound, but it kind of sounds like when you tap a thick knife on a granite countertop. It didn't do it when it was new, and when it heats up significantly due to heavy CPU/GPU load, it goes away. My best guess is that heat expansion/shrinking has caused something to come loose and move around inside the case.
Apple has agreed to do an advance replacement, and my new machine has already shipped - should be here next week, after which I can send my 'old' one back.
Other than this, I'm very happy with my new MacBook Pro. I've experienced a few of the graphical oddities others in this thread have, but as a software developer by trade, I recognise software bugs when I see them so I'm more forgiving of those (assuming they get fixed).
It's pretty annoying to have to swap out the machine, but Apple's customer support has made it as easy as this process can be, so that's a plus.
