Anyone face the internet recovery error 3403F when trying to reinstall Mac OS?

Straigt out the box, this is the first thing I want to do but won't allow me. Want to fix any possible bugs with the factory build
Try erasing the disk in disk utility (in Internet Recovery) first.

Yes that's what I can't get in to, goes straight to error! Will try setting up first then once set up going back and erasing it

Edit: have to be bloody quick to get cmd option R as well! Haha

Apparently it's a network error. Do you have a particularly weird Wi-Fi setup?

I've managed to do using CMD + R

What's is the difference with that, surely same as CMD, option + R as I can erase the HD and am currently installing sierra via wifi download

Anyone can say me how many time take DHL from Apple ship the order to delivery at home?

Here Ruben from Spain. I buyed 15" base stock MacBook Pro w/TouchBar and yesterday Apple change the status to Shipped!

:) I hope have it this week or the next Monday. But the Apple website say that estimated deliver date is Dec. 12. How is it possible? I have DHL tracking and I think that 2 weeks to ship the package from Eindhoven, Netherland to Spain don't take TWO WEEKS.

Thanks.

Cmd+R boots into a partition on the hard disk, Cmd+Opt+R boots into an environment that is downloaded first. The guides seem to recommend using the latter but I'm not sure what practical differences there are.

Anyone like to shed some light on the differences please?

Wiping the hard drive using CMD + R is surely the same either way?

My new MacBook Pro 15" doesn't show the remaining battery time and maintain max. 3 hours for normale use. Anyone here with the same problems? What can I do to fix it?

So I spend some time with my machine.
Here are some of my first thoughts:

User experience is on point. TrackPad, TouchBar and keyboard are insane. (I am scared of the life of the new butterfly keys, they feel good but maybe they fail as easily like the ones from the 12" Macbook?)
Display is nice. Good colors, very bright (don't know how if it consumes maybe too much battery if cranked all the way up)
TouchID is really nice. Love it, but you have to enter a password if you log in for the first time. Would like to log in directly with my fingerprint.
TrackPad is huge and totally worth it. So far no bugs with gestures or something. No errors with palm rejection.
Sound is incredible. I totally love the speakers. No negativity here.
Battery-life is shorter than declined but I think it's still enough for my needs. (Have to wait until class to see how it performs there)

Bottom Plate feels kinda cheap. For my personal preference that's the place, where Apple cut too much material out. The Bottom feels like plastic (I am scared of bending)
It's thin, yes, but it get's also warmer and I wish the fans would kick in easier. Sounds weird, but I prefer a louder and cooler machine over a silent burning one. ;)

And maybe the biggest issue:
At the beginning I was sceptic, but after a few days I do recognize, like others around here, noticeable UI Lag. :(
Maybe I can get used to it. Some things run smooth like butter, others not.

So over all it seems like a draw between things I like and dislike. :confused:o_O
Spend so much money on it, so I wanna keep it of course.

BTW. I got the 2.6GHz 15" 512GB SSD Radeon 450 16GB RAM

What do you guys think of this?

Peace :)

yea mine maxed out spec 15" is so laggy and my 2015 one was smooth it cant be this new mac is slower i just dont get it

There is hope, they can improve it, with software-updates, but I got the bad feeling, that we never get rid of UI Lags. :(

I think its quite rushed drivers on this one, will probably improve, i had the 2012 rmbp before, that one had alot of ui lag in beginning, but OS updates removed it and now its smooth like butter even though its 4 years old

Yes, that's what I'm hoping for. :) I think it will improve over time.
Anyway, I will keep mine and see how it turn's out.

That's exactly what happened with the Early 2015 13' Retina Macbook Pro. That thing was a stuttery mess UI-wise until El Capitan.

My 15' 2016 only lags in some situations, mainly when three-finger-swiping up to show mission control.

Depending on how much you've set up so far id suggest reinstalling MacOS or did you do this when you received it?

Thats the first thing i did last night, 13" i7 / 16 / 512 though, but havent had any issues at all. Seen many people do that and fix little bugs they were having. May be worth a go if you've not got much set up yet

I'm not sure.
It was my first Mac, so I didn't set it up from Time Machine or anything else, which can have a impact of the OOB experience.
It's a totally fresh set-up, also my SIP was already enabled, so I think mine was configured properly from Apple.
I installed already some Programs and other stuff, so I don't think a reinstall will improve my experience.

Btw. I also can live with the actual lags. Sure it's not what a 3000€ device should do, but 90% of the time it's smooth. The 10% Lags during personal usage are noticeable but ok. If Apple can fix this over time with updates, like some of you explained with previous generations, then the UI Lag isn't that bad.

Yes a totally fresh set up but of a factory build MacOS, i just know some users had these little bugs fixed by a complete reinstall of MacOS like ive done. Deleting the previous using disk utility in internet recovery and reinstalling.

If you can live with it then carry on but an option if it becomes unbearable

I shut the lid on my MacBook last night and just left it, and in that time it has lost about 20% of the battery life. Is this normal with the new MacBook Pro?

After some days I'm really annoyed by this 3000€ piece of ****. Battery life is worse. Already crashed three times. TouchBar crashed, too. Had to lock the MacBook and then unlock it to work again. USB-C sometimes does not recognize my stuff, have to reboot.

This is just an unfinished product. Damn, Apple.

edit: Nice, TouchBar crashed again. Seriously this is just ****. Never had to reboot my old MacBook between updates because it was rock-solid. This junk requires multiple daily reboots because something breaks.

I'm experiencing some Login Bugs as well. Sometimes, when I unlock the Macbook it automatically changes back to locked mode 2 times. Someone else experiencing this when unlocking with TouchID?

No, shouldn't be. My mba 11" loses at the most 1-2% during sleep.

Of those who've had a theirs a little while, how long have you noticed it taken for spotlight to index everything and stop eating away at the battery?

Uploaded some of my files, only 30GB worth and 40% battery showing 1:12hr remaining with spotlight eating a whole load of it. I know it'll settle down eventually though (I hope)

Hi again! Finally moved threads :). Mine should be here in a few hours.

Quick Question also wanna reinstall my Mac OS once it's out of the box to eliminate any bugs. Will following these Instructions do https://support.apple.com/kb/PH25649?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US or are there more specific steps for doing this
