However, I split the payment over two cards, and the only charge that has shown up so far is one for $480.74. The scary part is that the card that this charge showed up on was supposed to take 3/4 of the total bill. Apple payment rep could not explain it, but said it would be taken care of. Here's hoping for a problem free first mac.

The really sad part is one of the reasons I went for the 2.16 Processor is that I thought it would be less popular and have a better chance of shipping early...

I think when they first announced the upgrades the 2.16 machines had a shipping time of only a few days...

Oh well :(
 
Finally

I ended up cancelling my order, and buying my MBP at the Apple Store in Kansas City. I called them up, and they had gotten a few in. I'm now roaring through cyberspace with a MBP 2.0 (stock). In cancelling my order, I sacrificed the 120 gig HD, but all is well.

This is my first mac, and I can't see myself looking back...

Just tried to cancel my MBP CTO (see sig.) - can't do it! It looks like mine will be shipping a lot earlier than I had hoped :)

I don't get it. I ordered mines on 3/1, with an Est Shipping Date of 3/29 but an Est Delivery of 4/5 :confused: funny, your Est Delivery Date is 1 day earlier than mines; yet, you ordered 7 days later. And mines still haven't shipped yet. I'm in PA though. But still..

Congrats to those who's received and those who are waiting. I can't wait!

Well I don't know what the deal with my order is??? Almost the same as yours, but I ordered 3/2 and have an estimated ship date of 3/30...and I can STILL cancel my order. Wtf?? :confused:

I ordered 3/5 and I can still cancel too. I'm hoping that will change on Monday!
 
Get this...I called Apple today to find out what is going on with my order and the guy tells me that my MBP going to ship within 24 hours!!! No way I thought!

So a few hours later I get a shipment notification from Apple...got so excited, then I opened the email and its for my damn BATTERY!! Not my computer....idiot! Ugh...still can't cancel my order. Hope this changes soon :confused:

Tired of waiting...:(
 
Finally

Ordered MBPro 2.0/100GB/1GBRAM on 2/22. Est. ship 3/22 with a 3/24 delivery. CC charged and MBP shipped on 3/18(a Saturday). Currently in Shanghai with a "shipment exception" code on Fed-ex website. It was received after Fed-Ex's cutoff. The thing is, it's 1:15a.m. on Monday here in the eastern U.S., so shouldn't Fed-Ex in China be operational already? Anyway, estimated delivery on 3/22 at 10:30a.m. here in the Nasty 'Nati (Cincinnati for those fortunate enough not to be familiar with the nickname) :D For those of you in the same boat as I am with waiting nearly a full month, just think of it as I do...it just makes that day sweeter.
 
I ordered on 2/21 and it got shipped on friday... went from china, to alaska, to indiana, to california.... and now these last two days all it has done is sit in a fedex warehouse all of 40 minutes from my house. Oh, the torture.... if I could only pick it up.
 
I ordered my 2.0Ghz from Amazon last night and my credit card now has a pending transaction for $2,475!!! On Amazon.com it says that my order is being prepared for shipment and I can no longer cancel it! It looks like I got it just in time because the availability for the 2.0Ghz just went back up to up 1-2 weeks. I am so excited! This is my birthday present to myself and it's going to be delivered on March 21 which is my birthday! I couldn't have written it better.
 
Going backwards?

My order shipped out on the 18th, as of yesterday it was in Memphis, TN, and now today has apparantley gone back to Alaska for an "Int'l shipment release."

Has anyone else encountered this? Fedex makes it impossible to easily contact customer service over the phone. I paid for the 2day shipping, figured I would have it by tomorrow.

I ordered a 2Ghz stock model from the educational store on the 25/2/06 and had a shipping date of 21/2/06, but have just got off the phone with Apple and was told that they are experiencing a delay and that my order would be delayed by one month.

Come on Apple, this i just not good enough.

MBPro 2.0/100GB/1GBX1/256MBVRAM ordered Feb. 22nd, est. ship March 22nd with March 24th delivery. Shipped March 18th, typing on it now, March 21st, three days early.
 
recieved my 1.83 stock machine today. One day earlier than the delivery estimate. The processor is a bit whiny, but other than that it's perfect.
