My order date & CTO order was exactly the same as yours (except 2 GHz) and mine shipped today also. They're on the same plane neighbor! :D I just wish Apple would be a little more flexible on the CTO returns. Currently, you can't return it unless it's DOA!! That really sucks and makes me a little skiddish to order $2500 without a back door! Hopefully, there will be no need to return this baby. I bought a 30" Apple Cinema Display at the time of order and it's been sitting in the box for a month in the den. Very hard to do!:(

I ordered my CTO 1.83 1gig RAM and 100gig HD
on 2/17 and had an estimated ship of 3/20
and an estimated arrival of 3/23

and tonight I have a shipping confirmation!!

should be here by wednesday, maybe tuesday!??:D :D
 
Order Shipped!

I ordered my CTO MBP 1.83 GHZ w/ 512MB ram/100 GB HDD on 2/21 and wasnt supposed to ship till 3/21 and delivered by 3/24. It shipped 3/13 it will arrive 3/15. Man I cant wait!:D
 
The waiting

Ordered a MBPro 15/2.0Ghz/1X1G/100GB/256VRAM on 2/22 from apple.com. I can no longer cancel my order, but this may be because I added a printer last week, which has already shipped. Any thoughts? No pre-auth on the credit card either. I hope it will ship this week.
 
Ordered 14th Feb from Apple Store with education discount. Stock 1.83GHz model. Originally to ship 14th March, they then pushed it back to shipping the 21st March. Now all I keep reading about is people who've ordered after me from Apple are getting their machines already. I'm not too impressed with that. Still able to cancel my order, but Apple debited the entire funds for the machine from my card on the 15th of Feb. Lovely.

Speaking to Apple reps (who are on the most part incredibly rude and unhelpful whenever I ring), I've been told several times, that my order couldn't be put back to the original shipping date because more expensive machines (CTO orders and non-education machines allegedly) were a higher priority to ship out, even if they were ordered later. :(

If the bloody thing turns up and isn't running perfectly, I will be gutted.

mine was delivered at 9:56 exactly.

i was hungover, and smelly, and i took my picture with a white trashy mustache (i call it the white trash stach), and my lord, this thing is amazing. at school right now, getting a good airport signal, this is my first forum post on the Mac.

Ship date: April 3rd

the delivery saga

am at home bouncing off the walls because my mbp 1.83 will be here any time today. just thought i'd post all the times so's everyone can know what to expect:

ordered: 3rd February (est shipping 28th Feb, delivery 8th march)

free upgrade: est shipping 15th march, delivery 20th march

shipped: 4th march, est delivery 15th march

left shanghai: 6th march
left netherlands: 9th march

courier assigned: 13th march (est delivery 20th march)

14th march: mpb in courier van on its way!
 
Hey all,

I ordered my mbp recently (March 3rd, so rather late) and its due for shipment April 3rd. I made the order by phone and paid for it by money transfer, which has already been completed. I tried the "cancel your order trick" yesterday for the first time and I couldn't cancel anymore. Now does this mean that it's already in assembling process (it's a CTO) or does it simply mean that you can't cancel phone/ money transfer orders via the web?

I know, sounds rather impatient, but i need my new notebook as fast as possible :)

(btw, my first post on this board, after a long time reading only ;) )

I’m losing my hair here because of the excitement :eek: First mac too :)
 
ordered 2/21 2.0 ghz with 7200 harddrive. Still says 3/21 ship 2/24 delivery. I e-mailed my congressman asking him where my macbook pro was. I hope he knows, CAUSE I DON'T. Everyone getting theirs early is breaking my heart.

Oh, and having a widget that tell you your order status..... bad idea for when you've got nothing to do at home for 5 hours, just makes me sit here updating the widget hoping something magical will happen.

I'm kind of in the same boat. I ordered a stock 1.83 on 2/21, and apple customer service told me it would ship between the 15th and 21st. I still don't see any credit card action either. I'm hoping I won't have call and change my ship-to address back to my school address, but thats looking like what will happen.

Same here I cannot wait to begin using Mac OSX full time. If they had just put 7200RPM HDDs in the stock 2GHz they would not have all these supply issues with online store.

did you order yours with the 7200rpm hdd? Maybe that is what may make the delivery longer, who knows :rolleyes: I ordered mines (2.0Ghz) with the 7200rpm hdd. I think I'm gonna lose my pants waiting for my MBP to arrive :D but then again, I have time to look for a protective sleeve to keep it safe when i slip it into my backpack. And look around for other accessories also. I haven't even seen one in person yet. So that makes it that much more exciting! :)

Yes I did and its torturing me...haha. A 1/2 hr drive and I could have one in my hands now but I dont want that slow HDD. Which is why probably so many are buying online since the stock ones are low speced compared to what you can get BTO. I mean a g4 Ibook comes stock with 512, why would a macbook pro?
 
Mine just left TN (6:00pm) says EST Delivery 12:00 pm tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Ordered feb 14th) I am aslo excited to be using OS X Full Time....I use it at school....it blows Windows so far away.....:::sigh::: now to TRY to sleep. Any advice on things i should do to switch from Windows to OS X?

You can get the edu. discount in store.
