Hmm. Is there any way to see if that (16A323) is available for the public beta downloaders without actually downloading it first?
(heh. Crushing my monthly usage cap this month) :)

No. But it will be.

The only reason apple might make older builds available again is if they pull the new one. They haven't. Hence public beta testers will get 13A323 too.

Heh...yep, but they're still different packages, even though the build number of the OS may be the same once installed. :)

Need either confirmation on the PB or wait until early tomorrow AM to snag it. :)

Edit: And I just got confirmation on the other thread that the current PB installer is also 323. I'll snag it...see if there's yet another one before the 20th. :)

I wouldn't wait. Apple are coming out with new builds faster than people can upload to unauthorised sources!

What if there is a new build tomorrow? Then you'll miss out on this particular build.

Anyway as I said before it's probably not a huge drama because all the GMs from 16A319 onwards should be able to be updated to point releases and all their betas after public release anyway.

I have made bootable usbs of all the DPs, PBs and GMs.

I just finished making a bootable usb of 16A323 and will install it now.

Yep...downloading 323. We'll see if I get my macs updated before a new build is out. :)

At this point, why not just wait for the final release? GM usually means we're extremely close. Xcode 8 final is already out. All the developer samples have been updated. The Swift 3 guys are popping the cork...I for one am getting a little tired of chasing new seeds every day...

Actually, my 24" iMac 8,1 has audio issues... Volume just won't change at all, even though it indicates it on the screen. I haven't been able to find a solution yet.

Hello, I'm using the same machine (iMac early 2008 24") and experiencing the problems mentioned above. I have sound but unable to adjust the volume. Has anyone found a solution to this yet?

Many thanks! Lee

The final release comes out in 4 days. I would highly recommend that people disregard the latest GM update, and simply wait the 4 days to install the final release.

Indeed. All this ado about post-16A319 GMs. Unless you are a super geek -- and thus need to have every single build for some reason -- just be patient and wait for the final release. I am no expert, but I seriously doubt that there are very many -- if any -- major changes between 16A319 and 16A323. They are probably just minor tune-ups.

Personally, if the final release is going to require yet another full install and erasing my current installation, I may very well just stick with 16A319 until 10.12.1 comes out.

After all, what's the rush? :)

I have successfully upgraded my mid 2008 macbook pro to 10.12 beta using the @dosdude1 tool! the only thing not working is the iSight camera.. it is detected in the systemoverview on the usb 2.0 bus as the build in camera etc. but in facetime, skype for business, photo booth etc. the camera is not turning on.. any idea where to look?

Thanks Michael

With a little persistence, you should be able to keep your old system...there is plenty to try when reading this thread. :)

Of course, if you have the resources to purchase a new system ...

P

Yipee, it works ! The problem was the double screen on my video card. I unplug the hdmi and the install was OK.

I will try to update my system when the final version is out.

Thank's everybody, especially @dosdude1

Cool. Enjoy. Knew it was your video .... :)
Since I believe we have the same systems, check your audio. Mine works, but sound reverts back to a different port when it wakes from sleep. Can't figure it out.

I found a way to download Sierra on unsupported Macs without using a virtual machine.

Go get this
https://github.com/argon/mas
(I personally moved 'mas' to /usr/local/bin/)
Open terminal and type 'mas list'
There should be "1127487414 Install macOS Sierra"
then type 'mas install 1127487414'
and you'll be asked to sign in and please do so
Your download will begin shortly

dosdude or anyone who knows: if we are currently on the PB can we do an install of the GM *without* having to reformat the partition (just an install on top)? I don't want to break the partition table by reformatting because it will destroy my bootcamp and triple boot setup - thanks

Worked for me! Went from clean dp1 and installed every update till GM in place without wiping my partition. Always backed up first though...

that's good news, except I wonder if the GM is more substantial and if it will work the same way..

i try to install the GM version. i following the instructions, but the installation stuck only at 12% for more than an hour. FYI, i have macbook pro mid 2009 with new SSD from Kingston.
