You can see from the screenshot he did that it's a Dev GM. Unless you have a paid Dev account, you won't have it.
Not seeing anything in the App Store yet on my PB machine.
16A322 is also available in the public GM installer. No delta update I can see though.

Yep, got that. Was simply hoping to avoid going through a full install again on the Mac Pro, but since my recovery partition is damaged anyway, guess I'll just create a new patched USB stick and run it anyway to fix that...

Never saw a delta on the supported Macbook either, so gonna assume only the full GM download is an option.

Hmm. Why would they update the GM, just for the iTunes update? That doesn't make a lot of sense (both my systems - the one on the dev build and the one on the public beta grabbed the iTunes update - that's all that there was there).

Edit: I guess for new installs it would make sense. They really should be updating the dev news page, so people know what the delta is for the build.

Think its just the new iTunes maybe?

I examined the new build and it doesn't include the new iTunes 12.5.1. No idea what's changed.

I am on a dev account, but I don't see it in my store, only an iTunes update...
BTW I just tried to install this 12.5.1 iTunes update and after completion of the download, I am getting this:

An error has occurred

"iTunes" could not be verified.(311)

WTF?

Running build 16A319 on an mbp5,5
Also I saw from system software overview that:
System Integrity Protection: Disabled

EDIT: I tried once more and then the update installed normally. Strange o_O

Redownload the full installer from the purchases tab. So far 16A322 is only available as a full installer which is why you don't see it as an update.

Also if you have an older full installer somewhere on your computer, delete it first or copy it somewhere like an external drive (and then disconnect the drive) before redownloading the new GM.

Does anyone know if the GM link on dosdude's patcher site has been updated to 16A322 or it is still on 16A319? If not, please pm me a link for the 16A322 if somebody has one. Thanks in advance

No. It hasn't been updated. It's still 16A319. You don't really need the links anyway.

Just redownload from purchases tab.

Or if you originally got Sierra from an unauthorised source, just sign up to the public beta program at https://beta.apple.com/sp/betaprogram/ to get a redemption code and redeem it in the mac app store. That will get you build 16A322 as well.

Everyone: My best recommendation with regard to the GM builds at this point is to just install 16A319 (or 16A320). The final release is about a week away, and while I try my best to keep the latest build uploaded to MEGA, it's proving to be very difficult. I'm currently in a location with a very limited Internet connection (15down/1up), so that makes it nearly impossible for me to upload large OS X installers on a regular basis. I also don't have a paid Apple Developer License at this point (I plan on getting one soon), so it's not exactly easy for me to get my hands on the developer releases. I'll be back to my normal 100down/120up connection temporarily this weekend, so I'll get the latest build uploaded then (unless someone else does so before I do).

I have already did this and in my purchased apps in App Store I can see the "Mac OS Sierra" but when I click on Download I get an error due to my machine incompatibility.... As I wrote before I am running on an unsupported mbp5,5 using 16A319 and dosdude's patch....

There is a way to circumvent the machine check. Run Sierra (or even El Capitan) as a virtual machine and redownload Sierra from the mac app store - but from within the virtual machine. If you are willing to do this you can get Sierra legitimately - even on an unsupported machine. So I maintain that you still do not need links from unauthorised sources.

Interesting too that we didn't get 16A321.

Actually 16A322 was created on a computer with build 16A321.

Yeah, I'm just gonna wait for the final..mostly because I don't want to have to download over and over again.. and then when the first update for 10.12.x comes out, it will hopefully be a seamless update from the App Store..

Yeah. I don't know why apple didn't provide a delta update for this GM. I think they should have this time. It would have been quicker. That's how they did it for mavericks and yosemite when they had multiple GMs.

It would have been easier too for those with unsupported machines.

Actually they should have provided both the full installer AND a delta update to give people a choice.

Unfortunately we have no such choice this time.

Maybe they will release a delta later, but it seems what apple are doing is to just keep releasing the newer GMs only as full installers.

when the first update for 10.12.x comes out, it will hopefully be a seamless update from the App Store..

Theoretically all the GMs (including 16A319) should be able to update to the first 10.12.1 beta and all subsequent point releases. There is obviously no way to test this yet though.

Many (myself included) have successfully upgraded their pro 3,1 using the procedures here many times.
You don't provide much to go on...

Questions:

- describe your hardware a bit
- describe your current OS a bit (Yosemite, El Capitan, Sierra previews....what?)
- can you boot from that USB hard drive?
- if you have a spare USB stick, try this:
  • make sure you have enough free space on your system disk. Sierra installer needs space + recovery partition
  • run disk utility repair and permissions. make sure your system checks out.
  • backup your system. make sure its good.
  • reboot
  • download dosude's latest utility and record the version number
  • follow the instructions to prepare a usb boot stick
  • run the utility to prepare your usb boot disk
  • again follow the instructions and attempt another install

Thank's for the advice.

My Mac Pro 3,1 has a new video Card. It's a Radeon HD 6870 (flashed). Maybe it's the problem. My System is El Capitan (last version).

I will try again this week-end

I am using the public beta of Sierra on a MBP 2009. I have a 2 port USB 3.0 PCI adapter card that was able to use both ports simultaneously on El Capitan without issue. I am finding that I can use only one on the Sierra beta no matter what i try... can anyone point me in the right direction to fix? Vendor ID for the card is 0x1b21, Device ID is 0x1142 - USB eXtensible Host Controller/ExpressCard - thank you!

You don't even need a virtual machine, you only have to give the MAS binary some valid model identifiers and it'll happily load it for you.

I just installed Sierra GM on my pro 3,1 using your installer. Works again like a charm. Smooth as silk.
Oh the really large memory footprint on my 2009 book pro was solved by crunching my kexts and prelinked again. Got back an extra 2G of ram, amazing! There was some sort of corruption. Used kext utility.

Thanks again!

So you can spoof the entire machine check by running a virtual machine? May I ask what vbox you run? Virtual Box or Parallels maybe?

Yes. That's right. It's an old trick I learnt a long time ago.

I use parallels but any such program should do.

After some days on vacation I had to read many pages here - as far as I can read, there's no possibility to update from latest PB to GM via MAS? Even @foxlet mirror doesn't show up any updates and @dosdude1 patcher will be updated when GM gets final? Only workaround is recreating usb installer, yet? Will there be a possibility when the official final is released? Thanks! First page should really get updated :)

Hi do you think it is also possible to run an El Capitan in virtual machine to download Sierra, of course from unsupported mac?

Could you please tell us how to do it?
