Nice! Full Acceleration?
Yep! Not sure about newer cards, but HD2400 and 2600 now work perfectly!Nice! Full Acceleration?
Way to go dosdude looks nice
That’s great to hear! I was thinking about picking up an iMac for the heck of it. Even if Acceleration breaks for some weird reason if it has Core i processors can the internal GPU be used or is it not included or disabled?Yep! Not sure about newer cards, but HD2400 and 2600 now work perfectly!

Nice, care to detail the process? Would like to try it on my 2011 iMac.
Legacy AMD acceleration ACHIEVED!

Has anyone successfully installed Mojave to a Firewire/Thunderbolt drive?, I thought somewhere in an earlier post someone did.
Unfortunately, I found that this ONLY works on Radeon HD 4XXX series and older... Still not sure what the issue is with the newer cards. The patches for the older cards will be included with the next release of Mojave Patcher.Nice, care to detail the process? Would like to try it on my 2011 iMac.

Who cares about legacy AMD, what about AMD HD 3000 ? I have nothing wrong with my chip. No offence to those with legacy, just its not right what Apple did.
Could you update the front post to display which now work and which still don’t?Unfortunately, I found that this ONLY works on Radeon HD 4XXX series and older... I'm sure it'll be updated when the patcher is updated. It reflects the current download.
Just updated! Go ahead and give it a try.I've got an old iMac 2009 with Core i7, 16 GB of RAM, 500 GB SSD (APFS) and an HD 4870 just begging for this!

Yes, the update will be pushed out there momentarily. Can I update to this using the patch updater?

I will ask again, care to detail the process? Wondering if there are any clues for making acceleration work on Radeon 5000 or 6000. I have both of these available to test possible solutions.Unfortunately, I found that this ONLY works on Radeon HD 4XXX series and older... Still not sure what the issue is with the newer cards. when you upgrade to ssd maybe increase ram to 4gb or 8 gb my iMac 8,1 run slow with 3gb of ram and the fans are loud so will increase the ram soonGot my MacBook Air 2,1 (2008) booted up with Mojave.
Takes ages to boot due to only 2GB RAM and run from ext. USB 2.0 drive, but eventually finishes and is stable w/ acceleration on Nvidia 9400M. Will move the system to internal SSD in a while.
Looks like dosdude1 has a new patch, going to give it a go again. It didn't work on my 2011 iMac with an firewire 400 drive formatted with APFS. I did get it installed on my internal drive. I didn't bother to try HFS+ on the external drive as the graphics problems were bad enough to make me loose interest.
Good advice, I do this maxing out the RAM with all my gadgets, but unfortunately - here it´s soldered and not upgradeable. I had this machine running under High Sierra with internal HD, too slow for any real-life use, but with SSD it´s now quite ok - so I expect Mojave to behave very similar in terms of resource usage ;-)when you upgrade to ssd maybe increase ram to 4gb or 8 gb my iMac 8,1 run slow with 3gb of ram and the fans are loud so will increase the ram soon
It actually just ended up being some kexts I missed copying from High Sierra (ATI*.*). They are responsible for Radeon HD 4xxx and older acceleration.I will ask again, care to detail the process? I appreciate the effort you're putting in to get Mojave working on older Macs.
