I do use IOAccelerator beta 1, but all the others work, I use only because without it I have issues in Finder Views Sorting List.

Anyway you can safely upgrade in-place from your MB7,1 since ASiententBot done it too, and has written also a tutorial about on page 147

Just tried the IOAccelerator again and I still can't see any change, but maybe I just didn't notice it.

I did not upgrade in place, I erased and reinstalled from scratch.

I was talking about the graphics acceleration fix by @ASentientBot

The file that I patched came from 10.13.5.

Ah yes, my mistake.

You should get her up to whatever the latest the machine can run. There hasn't been any security updates for SL in years.

It can run El Capitan officialy but probably High Sierra with no issues cause she’s got 6GB of RAM (that model’s max) and an SSD.

Yes, works for me with the latest beta from here:
https://github.com/dokterdok/Continuity-Activation-Tool/tree/beta

I have a MacBook Pro Early 2011 with BT4.0 WiFi board.

Regarding this subject, I have a MacBook Pro 5,5 13 inches mid 2009. Would you mind telling me if I replace WiFi card to that one attached to this reply, cat will work perhaps?

That's just the same WiFi card as the one it already has, it won't add any extra features. Unfortunately because of that weird in-display design, there are no WiFi/BT upgrade options for these systems.

My apologies I have written wrong your nickname, that's due to the hurry.

If you haven't updated in place... then I must stop that guy from updating in place!

Really I have some Finder issues using mainly in View Mode "List" the folders autoclose, go back to previous without any interactions, I don't why it happens, with IOAccelerator from beta1 doesn't occur, I'm booting from external SSD the same Mojave beta 4 installation I use even on another unsupported MBP intelHD3000, and the same one also working on a supported Mac, I've made a kind of universal prelinkedkernel for all my machines, that's why I need to use all the five IOUSB***, with only two of them I get crashing on the supported Mac, but on the supported Mac internally I have also a native Mojave beta 2, in short it's a caos.

Great thansk. I'll test and I'll report..

Please don't update, wait some other confirmations.

If you use the latest version of Mojave Beta Patcher everything will work like a charm.

There was never even an official Shellshock patch for SL. Running it on a network is like putting all your private information on a billboard in front of your house. Go to El Cap (Apple still supports it). Then it can run a modern browser. I don't think that processor in that can do Sierra or High Sierra.

Thank you a lot for your advice !

No worry : I have not done the update yet ;-)

I got the same notification as well on my Mojave unsupported MacBookPro5,5 (13" mid 2009).
As always, thanks @dosdude1!

On my MacBook 5,2 2009 White MacBook I too got the notification, installed the update - restarted.

Although now FT starts with history of recent FT call on other devices it says "No Camera Available. To use FaceTime connect a camera."

Other than FT and a lack of full trackpad function Mojave Beta 4 is at least as fast a High Sierra was on this mac.

Any suggestions for fixing FT on this ? Anyone?

Thanks dosdude1...

Exact same problem.

I subsequently installed the 5 IOUSB*.kets from 10.13.6, and the problem remains.

Tnx guys, I installed Mojave on my MBA 3,2. So fa it's looking great, still have to test things.
One question about Hardware Encoding. Is t possible to enable it somehow? I think because of that I have issues with
Screenshot app when taking videos. They don't play as they should.

As far as I know, hardware encoding is an instruction set on the CPU and you can't enable it.

On my MacBook7,1 which doesn't have it either, QuickTime Player works just fine for screen recordings. How about you?

Hardware Encoding requires a Sandy Bridge or later Core i series CPU, or supported GPU. There is no way to enable it on any Core 2 Duo machine.

QuickTime works fine but recordings are not when i use Screenshot app to record the screen. QuickTime is playing the video but if video is 30 sec. long, first 20 sec. is like frozen. Only last 10 sec of recording plays fine.
If that makes any sense.
