how did you do that? I'm getting "Unable to create the installation media" (iMac mid 2011)

This is what I did:
1. Install High Sierra on a virtual machine
2. Download and upgrade to Mojave from the App Store using the macOS developer beta access utility on the vm

That was the only way I could download Mojave because the AppStore wouldn't let me download it on an unsupported Mac and the copy I got from FetchMacOS didn't work.

Abcdefg12345, will Xcode run on the vm enough to practice code with the new frameworks? I like all the stuff 10.14 will have, but to me the only thing I want is the new version of Xcode. If I can access it with parallels then I’m pretty cool. I have a early 2011 MacBook Pro 15 too. I just love my hi res anti glare, and I don’t want to give it up! I know the retina looks better but I use my laptop outside, and the retina still has glare. I’m sure I will break down and buy a retina now... sad week:(

I haven't tested Xcode on the vm, but my guess is its gonna be almost impossible to use.

June 7: Unfortunately, some (all?) old AMD/Nvidia Kexts don't even load! So there is no hope for OpenGL until (if) we get them to load. We haven't checked all Intel or AMD kexts yet. Intel HD 3000 kexts all load though.

Does this mean there is still hope for early 2011 MBP with Intel HD 3000?

Thanks for your support.

To be honest we don't know whether HD Graphics will be supported. It's just the only GPU that looks even remotely possible.

We will be releasing a patcher but probably not anytime in the next month. It's very hard to reverse engineer GPU drivers.

P.S. please edit your post to delete the quote of the OP, It's too long

Thanks (Mahalo) for your response. Looking forward to the patcher.

In the meantime, I'm going to try and install the Mojave Beta on a Virtual Machine (vmware fusion).

If anybody wants to download a full copy of the Mojave installer for testing, I made a utility that will allow you to do so (using the same implementation from High Sierra Patcher). It can run in Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) and later.

On MacBook5,1 tried installing Mojave on VMware and Parallel, not working on either, taking forever to create installer (don't remember exact process name) on Parallel and showing 'not supported' error on VMware.

I copied system\library\coreservices\platformsupport.plist from macOS HS
to
macOS Mojave system\library\coreservices\platformsupport.plist
still with no luck Mojave partition doesn't appear when rebooting the system while holding option key
the boot.efi keeps my iMac model and its board-id in unsupported Macs

Some AMD Kexts loads... Which AMD models will work then if you don't mind me asking?
none of them load, it turns out
[doublepost=1528439030][/doublepost]
wall of text

EDIT: From the original post, apparently the AMD kexts use SSE4.2 functions? Which AMD kexts/accelerators use them, and what are the SSE4.2 instructions being used? Hopefully Apple fixes the SSE4.2 instructions stuff (in DP2 maybe) because they are going to support MacPro4,1 + 5,1, so they must support the gpu's ppl are going to upgrade in their Mac Pros. It might just be that this is the very issue Apple promised to fix "in a later beta" so we may just want to wait. Apple won't let such a big kernel panic go unnoticed in DP2 or even GM, they'll implement a fix. So I don't think we should focus on that yet because Apple will most certainly fix that for us.

Nehalem/Westmere in the 4,1/5,1 have SSE4.2. The problem is/was AVX (which only >= SNB have) in beta 1.

Even the High Sierra AMD kexts use SSE4.2. That's why we had to use Sierra ones in High Sierra, which worked. But now, Mojave can't load the Sierra or High Sierra AMD kexts. So no computers without SSE4.2 can use AMD GPUs on Mojave, currently.

Are we moving forward for mid 2010 MCP base models?

Okay, I am little confused. I have a MacBook Pro late 2011 model which was officially supported with High Sierra(AMD 6770m). Which instruction set was used for its kexts? SSE4.1 or SSE4.2. Since you said, High Sierra AMD kexts use SSE4.2. Does that mean my computer can use AMD GPUs on Mojave?

It can load the driver, yes, but not make use of it for OpenGL (yet?)

I don't know yet.

No worries, I can wait. Just out of curiosity though, how much more illegal is it than running a hackintosh?
The legality of a hackintosh depends of the country/region you are in. A hackintosh can be legal if it is downloaded from the App Store and the OS is not modified in the proprietary components of the OS. macOS is partially open source, partilly proprietary freeware. So, using it for yourself, not giving it to others and, of course, not selling it keeps on the minimum of legality. On the other hand, in order to get developer betas, you need to have a developer account. That is a paid, the developer pays money to Apple to get that account. So, for someone who has not paid for this to get the developer preview (alpha, later beta) of macOS is probably illegal on most regions.

I currently have a 3,1 (X5472's) with a GT640, so I will check this weekend if I can get Mojave to run and let you guys know how it goes. Can anyone post a screenshot of the error message they're getting?

Yeah It seems like we might be able to run Mojave on an OpenGL environment for supported hardwares listed in the first page of this thread. But that has left me to wonder, Will Mojave even support the 'Full' OpenGL environment Fallback as a backup for its UI , Apps, and Features? No, I don't think so, I think I might just have to stay on High Sierra then.:(

Would you be able to extend this application to allow download of all copies of macOS available through the App Store? IE, 10.7 through 10.14? Or will it only allow those that don’t require an AppleID ato be downloaded? I’m not sure how the store maintains a catalogue of the old files.

I'm using a MBP late 2011 and had no issues installing 10.14 on a High Sierra VM in Parallels.
The only problem is that once installed the macOS software becomes unresponsive?
Has anyone else tried this or know what the problem is?
Here are my specs:

It appears to be working here:
