CPU? Apple only using GPU's from AMD.
In VM there is not hardware acceleration, so it is the unresponsiveness.I'm using a MBP late 2011 and had no issues installing 10.14 on a High Sierra VM in Parallels.
The only problem is that once installed the macOS software becomes unresponsive?
Has anyone else tried this or know what the problem is?
Here are my specs:

It appears to be working here:

My apologies I was thinking AMD CPUs for Hackintoshes. This aggravates me that AMD could work yet nVidia GeForce 320M is left in the dust by Apples Propietary Code.
All the devs who are trying to bring back openGL support, thank you for your hard work!
Okay yeah, but in the screenshot the guy had it working, and I have better specs than them?In VM there is not hardware acceleration, so it is the unresponsiveness.
You have an Intel HD Graphics former to HD3000. I guess that it would load the Intel kexts, but I don't know if it would be effective. Remember that the kext load is a requirement for starting to work in OpenGL compatibility.well, i have a question.
im using macbook pro 2010 i5 with intel HD Graphics 288M.
if i using mojave with host os, Can I enable openGL when i booting with safe mode?
or
Can I use mojave with vmware Fusion?
Interesting question, yes. I would want to know what method used to do this.Okay yeah, but in the screenshot the guy had it working, and I have better specs than them?

You can use Mojave with VMWare, but remember that it's slow currently.
it's anything problems with your OS on vmware fusion?i could successfully install an run mojave on my MacBookPro5,1 (2008) with VMWare Fusion 8.5
i dont have IOAcceleratorFamily2.kext from high sierra. could you upload it?had no problem with the installation, but then after a reboot i got stuck with a gray screen.
then i replaced the IOAcceleratorFamily2.kext from mojave with the one from HS (don't know if this is the right way of solving this problem, but after another reboot i could finish the setup of mojave).
at that moment the finder app crashed always, if i tried to open up a folder.
so i booted into safe mode, replaced the IOAcceleratorFamily2.kext back with the original one from mojave and installed vmware tools.
now finder doesn't crash anymore, but running mojave is relatively CPU heavy and not very smooth on my old MacBook because of the missing hardware acceleration.
That's what I was thinking... That's how I backported BDW to Mavericks on my BRoadwell Macbook Air... (plus adding AppleHSSPISupport and AppleLPSS for the spi keyboard and trackpad) It's just dependencies... to get the initial kexts to actually load. Everything that happens after loading though, is a whole different dilemma...With replaced IOAcceleratorFamily2.kext from 10.13.5, all of the required AMD kexts can be loaded. Thanks to Czo for finding this.
You mean that Apple uses only GPUs from AMD, not CPUs? Or that Apple will now use only AMD GPUs, not Nvidia GPUs?CPU? Apple only using GPU's from AMD.
Both. You mean that Apple uses only GPUs from AMD, not CPUs? Or that Apple will now use only AMD GPUs, not Nvidia GPUs?
Maybe but we're concentrating on the computers which are newly unsupported.is it possible to get this working on the MacBook5,2? since it has an Nvidia 9400M GPu in it
We're not sure yet. It seems harder but still possible. My apologies I was thinking AMD CPUs for Hackintoshes. This aggravates me that AMD could work yet nVidia GeForce 320M is left in the dust by Apples Propietary Code.
I have a Nvidia GPU that does not support Metal. it works good with High Sierra. I am thinking into buying a new GPU that supports Metal, in case I can not get Mojave to work with my current specs. Would you advise me to go with Nvidia or AMD?Both. I don't think Apple has used an Nvidia GPU since 2012.

Here is the current status:
We can boot the OS on Nehalem and newer CPUs. It crashes on older CPUs. We don't know why. We're investigating.
We can load the AMD graphics drivers and have 2D acceleration but not OpenGL yet. We are still trying to load the Nvidia drivers.
There are some other issues to fix such as Atheros WiFi (the driver is gone) and sound (missing configuration files).
How have you installed VooDoo HDA Audio? Copy-paste into Clover EFI or pkg ?I used the latest version of clover and the latest fakeSMC available on tonymacx86. I them had to replace the BOOTX64.efi (Located in the efi/boot folder), and the CLOVERX64.efi file (Located in the efi/clover folder). I do have audio working with voodoohda kext. I provided the BOOTX64.efi and the CLOVER64.efi.
They did. Nvidia gt650m in 2012 macbook pro and GT7xx series in several macs in 2013.Both. I don't think Apple has used an Nvidia GPU since 2012.
Hey guys I have a question , have iMac 27 from 2010 is it possible to install 10.14 on this machine?
I have map pro 2,1 from 2007 with running El Capitan gtx Nvidia 960 running.
It’s easier install on my iMac with and graphic card or on my good old Mac pro ?
Right now it won’t work with iMacs older than 2012. We’re probably going to have to wait until close to the official release before we know for sure if a workaround can be done for unsupported Macs.
Hello I have a macbook pro late 2011 could you please help me how to install macos 10.14 mojave? I am using 10.13.5 and I have Parallels version 13.1.0. Thank you very much.yes

True, but still useful for Mac developers to test software on it before releasing them to the App Store, and it shows that 10.14 doesn't actually require metal , Apple pulled another dick move by disabling some of the frameworks responsible for hardware acceleration, we just need someone to figure out how to re-enable them and were good to go.
According to Xcode 10 release notes you can run Xcode on high Sierra, so you only need a vm to test your apps.
