No, I have it on applications folder. I am checking the steps and I think I did something wrong. Installed with Patcher and then enroll my device to developers beta. Then it pulls the update (developer one) and it always download the full version and not the update. I think my device is on public beta, so probably I don't give enough time to receive public beta update... What do you think?
[doublepost=1533586146][/doublepost]I

Nope, unenrolled and then enrolled again and it shows that the macOS version is not available.... What the heck....
[doublepost=1533586238][/doublepost]@dosdude1 hey, which macOs version I have when we download from the patcher tool? Public beta or developer beta?
maybe there could be a link if you have PB of Mojave beta instead of DP Mojave beta maybe you must have the developers installed to upgrade to the next version of the developers . I think dosdude1 has said the patcher downloads the developers beta

DP6 is 18A353d if you have Xcode installed and if you are downloading macOS Mojave beta in application folder right click on install macOS Mohave beta then open contents then click on info.plist scroll down to DTSDK build that show you if you have the latest beta

You're mistaken. DTSDKBuild is the release that Apple used to BUILD/Compile the release, not the release itself.

You can check the release on /System/Library/CoreServices/SystemVersion.plist. View attachment 774698 View attachment 774699
Thank you as soon as macOS Mojave beta downloads and I make the patcher I will see if I can make this the 3rd beta I installed over previous versions DP4 to DP5 and now DP6 without having to dow a clean install on my MacBook 5,2

I'm still in DP4 but I've noticed that my MacBook Pro 7,1 never go in sleep mode if I don't close the lid since DP2. Am I the only one having this issue ?

Hello to all,

Just installed Mojave developer beta 6 on a MacBook Pro 5,2. I still use the 0.10b version of the patcher; worked without issues since its release. Thank you again to Dosdude1, and everyone else involved in this project. Please note, that I am enrolled in Apple's developer program, and I do use Apple's Beta Download Utility, thought I am not sure whether this is pertinent.

The *developer* Beta 6 update notice showed up in "system preference" icon, in the dock, via a red color filled circle with #1 in the center (meaning just 1 update available). I clicked on the "system update" icon, in the system preferences, and was given an opportunity to download a *delta* update (not a full installer). The installation process started without a hitch, but computer auto-rebooted at about 3/4 length of the installation progress bar. ReBoot went through the usual monolog on dark screen, but then booted into white screen with "No Entry" sign.

I rebooted with option key pressed and, from available boot choices, I picked the USB drive containing Dosdude1's install patcher. Once "on" USB drive, I reapplied the patch for MacBook Pro 5,2 and checked "Force to Rebuild Caches" option, before rebooting. Installation of Beta6 finished without a single problem. I did have to use KextBeast to reinstall usb kexts necessary to activate face time and PhotoBooth, and reapply dosdude1's patches. It's probably time for me to advance to the latest patcher version (?)

Still no menu bar transparency, but otherwise I see no graphic glitches.

A question was asked previously regarding Continuity Activation Tool. I tried to use the tool, but in all instances I got into a reboot loop. The only remedy was to reinstall the system (not a full erase and reinstall, just reinstall system "in place")

I did use the Bluetooth Explorer application (part of Apple's command line suite) to make sure, that it was the supported bluetooth dongle which was recognized on boot (rather than the internal card), but that did not change the CPU behavior; it still went into reboot loop. I attempted install on beta4 and beta5. My machine was listed as capable of supporting "continuity" via bluetooth dongle. Thank you to @Czo for providing link to the Continuity Activation Tool.

Hope this is of help.

Many thanks for the detailed account of your experience. Did you download a new Beta utility? Or did the notice just pop as expected? The "No Entry" -> post-install dance is also expected behavior. But you got an OTA system update with a delta update option - great! One last thing - Did you tweak your system update Advanced preferences in any way or are they stock?

I downloaded a new beta-download-utility when installing beta4 update (again a delta update), but none since then.
The only tweaks I have in the software update panel are "pictured" in the attached screen shots; see below.

The top panel is what you see when clicking on "software update" icon (in my computer's system preferences).
The bottom panel shows the dropdown menu, when "Advanced" button is clicked.

Note that on occasion it may help to maneuver to the software update icon in system preferences, and click on it, to see if there is an update available. It may become available for download at different times, perhaps depending on person's geographical location (?)

You are right, re-patching is a necessary step with each update.

Excellent. Thanks, this helps. You shouldn't have to re-download the beta utility once you're enrolled (as advertised) You confirmed that it can work. And yes, it's all still a little sensitive: quitting and restarting preferences update sometimes helps. Or even restarting the machine. I haven't downloaded 6 yet, but want to set myself up to debug and log as much as I can before doing so. I assume you also ran dosdude1's software update patch?

Cool! I haven't noticed any "major" fixes in the release notes. You said Dark Mode is a little better, in what way?

After I installed DP2 I downloaded the macOS beta access utility again because High Sierra was still in the beta program until the last update was rolled out for it so I knew I was in the beta program for Mojave

Haven't checked on my computer, just saw that DP6 came out. If the update doesn't show up in system preferences, will I have to redownload the patcher to install the new Install Mojave and write it to a USB, or will the 1.1.1 patcher be able to download DP6 without having to redownload the patcher? Hopefully, the built-in updater will work this time so I don't have to keep installing the 6gb installer everytime a new build comes out, but I haven't checked yet.

maybe there could be a link if you have PB of Mojave beta instead of DP Mojave beta maybe you must have the developers installed to upgrade to the next version of the developers . I think dosdude1 has said the patcher downloads the developers beta

To install on your machine, you can download and run my macOS Mojave Patcher application, which will let you download a copy of the latest Developer Preview from Apple

Just to confirm your thought :)

its hard to figure out why some people get the update through the software update some people do not or get the full installer not the update on my iMac 9,1 I just was originally enrolled in the public beta program when I installed DP2 I redownloaded the apple beta access utility then downloaded SWU Switcher and changed to developers beta didn't do any other tweaks but it has been working since

I’m just wondering, if the update isn’t in system preferences, if the patcher will download DP6 or will I need to redownload the patcher in order to download DP6 from the patcher. I haven’t checked if it’s in system preferences yet.

both DP6 and PB5 were released today which program are you enrolled in and yes it would be better to download the new patcher and you can download DP6 with the tool

I just installed DP6 from System Update on 2010 iMac, ran the latest patch from USB after install noticed unusual system resources (let the system settle) in Activity Monitor "Iconservicesagent", reran patch and now system back to "normal", not sure why I had to rerun Patch to bring sys under control. Aside from that, almost all 3rd party apps work, some apps force Iconservicesagent to ramp up, although without graphics acceleration a little laggy, even with internal SSD, usable but definitely not a daily system as per dosdude1 recommendation. iMac runs a little hotter than normal, within limits, but definitely hotter than the norm.
Again, many thanks to all that made it possible to experiment with Mojave on an unsupported Mac.

dosodude1,
Can you say more about that RAID tool in the new 1.1.2 Mojave Patcher? I don't remember seeing it before. Could it support GUI setup of a bootable RAID 0 or RAID 1 on NVMe SSDs on a Highpoint 7101A on a Mac Pro with your NVMe boot rom patch?

I noticed that to but mine on both my iMac 9,1 and my MacBook 5,2 ran hot to until I reinstalled the backlight and nightshift patch then it is running better now

I finally was able to install (and boot up successfully) Mojave on this unsupported MacBookPro5,3.

Thanks to your suggestions @jackluke, @TimothyR734 and @ASentientBot.
Used an external Hdd/Sata drive instead of USB thumb drive. Along with the internal SSD drive that has 2 partitions (1) High Sierra (2) El Capitan, I now have a (3) Mojave partition.

I do have 3 issues at the moment that are not that critical:
* Camera is not recognized (although I used @dosdude1's iSight patcher.
* No Wifi.
* Bluetooth is not on the Preference panes. So I cannot pair any of my bluetooth devices.

That's it for now. Thank you all and best regards.

I believe you might have a loose or disconnected cable. Open your MBP and check it out. Good luck Dude!

Sorry, I just saw the cool and smart @dosdude1 respond and pointed out the secondary display cable. Let us know if that worked!

Mojave Patcher has now been updated to support the DP6 installer app.

Aloha @dosdude1,

I downloaded your new version 1.1.2 of the Mojave Patcher.
I ran into a problem upon booting up on the USB to install and patch an unsupported MBP5,5.
Looking at the verbose boot messages, it got stuck with this message(s).

"Process(143) crashed: Opendirectoryd. Too many corpses being created"

Sounds "creepy" with reference to the "corpses"
Anyway, process number reached a high number, so I had to power off.

Mahalo!
