Just an observation... if I create an encrypted, password-protected read/write dmg in Mojave, it won't open in 10.9 or any other OS/OS X version under Mavericks. I tried to open it in OS X all the way back to Tiger, but no go. This is using the (now no longer, since a new one was just released) latest beta.

Creating the same under High Sierra will allow the older versions of macOS/OS X open them.

If you create the DMG from APFS disk/partition then it won't be readable from any previous OSX, except only those starting from Sierra 10.12.6 to the current MacOS.

While regard your High Sierra DMG had been probably taken from an HFS+ partition and it is readable from any previous OSX.

Seeing this from system update is kind of nice... Three times straight now.

But I have no sound now... WTH!!

My sound (on mbp 5.3) works!

It's standard routine, replace AppleHDA.kext from High Sierra and you will fix, or select only Legacy Audio Patch from Post-Install Mojave Patcher.
Mine worked out of the box. Then again, I just noticed that I post-installed an mp 3.1 post-install on my mbp 5.3! But everything still works. Will check the post-install to see what the difference is, maybe not be a big one.

Your CoreBrightness patch still works for bringing back Night Shift-Sound is working on mine :)

Has a new Public Beta for Mojave been released? I know iOS AND tvOS public betas are out, but I don’t see any Mojave download on my Mac mini. I have the PB Utility installed

Just had to run the USB post install patches and now is fine.

Does your sound work?

I'm afraid, we are on our own for a "comprehensive" translucency fix. Nothing yet on my Apple bug reports, but they are usually closed after GM as "duplicates".
Hey man, the majove installer works well on "light mode".. the top bar I mean. It is not possible to patch it to work on system after we installed it?

in a few hours about 1-1:30 west coast time

Upgraded my iMac 10,1 from DP8 to DP9 using Software Update in System Preferences. I had to apply again jackluke tip to rebuild the PrelinkedKernels in order to stop the endless reboot loop.
So far not seen improvements from DP8, iSight, light mode transparency still dead.

I know this is off topic but it seems there are a lot of people in this thread that know macOS really well. Does anyone know how to enable scripts in ~/Library/Application Scripts? My Scripts in ~/Library/Application Scripts/com.apple.AddressBook are no longer working in latest mojave releases.

Thanks
