No updates for the last six days... it's disappointing(
Unlikely HD3000 will run Mojave with full openGL renderer... greedy Apple!

I’ve been trouble shooting a Windows bootcamp issue with my Titan X video card and decided to give Clover bootloader a try. One thing that is significant with this bootloader meant mainly for bios hackintoshes is that you can emulate a real mac. I have not tried Mojave with it yet, but I am able to emulate an iMac 2009 using Clover’s raw smbios settings. I thInk it might be possible to boot Mojave via clover or at least get past some system checks with Clover.

Gonna Clone Mojave and emulate a Mac mini 2012 and see what happens.

Hello everyone,

Im new to this process and was wondering if the patch for Mac OS Mojave will allow me to update the software as the updates are released throughout the year. I have a 17inch MacBook Pro Late 2011. I really want Mojave but my computer is not supported. Does anyone know if this will work on my machine? My graphics cards are:

AMD Radeon HD 6770M 1024 MB
Intel HD Graphics 3000 512 MB

Thanks for the help, I appreciate it.

I patched image.
it has force-install mode.

but you should edit boot-args by typing this above
(반드시 아래의 코드를 terminal에 입력해주세요.)
sudo nvram boot-args="-no_compat_check"

this is our system requirements
(최소사양-HighSierra랑 동일)

This is unstable version. please do not use this with your main OS.

i’m emulating a Mac mini server 2012 on a Mac Pro 3,1 using Clover and Clover configurator. It allowed my to download Mojave beta directly and it’s allowing the installer to run.

How far it gets shall see. I have Clover on a junk drive. So if the system reboots, I can get back into Clover’s UEFI boot loader.

The installer is booting up. Slowly.

The installer has booted successfully on a Mac Pro 3,1. Installing 22 minutes.

This will be interesting.

I do have a Titan X NVIDiA card.

The installer has not crashed.

The Clover bootloader made for hackintoshes is doing an awesome job.
[doublepost=1528942238][/doublepost]Ithe installer btw booted up at 4k @ 60 Hz. 3 minutes left. If it works the problem will be NVIDiA drivers as I don’t think NVIDiA has released any beta drivers for the Beta, I am assuming there will be for beta 2. Shall see.

Next to my Mac.

In System Information under Graphics/Displays, check to see if Metal is supported. If not, you'll need to get a Metal capable GPU card. For now, just wait until Apple releases a beta that will work on the Mac Pro 5,1 with a Metal supported GPU card. That's what I'm doing. The GPU card I have does support Metal. It's an AMD Radeon 7950.

The installer auto converted the disk to APFS which Mac Pro 3,1 cannot see.

Cloning to a bootable partition.

Also keeping dosdude1’s HS patch disk around do Incase the boot loaders need a patch.

dosdude1 release a boot-rom patch that supports APFS on the MP3,1.

It's been shown to work on the MP3,1 but some MBP 5,1 have been bricked. YMMV.

if you have a raspberry pi, bus pirate, or any other device with an SPI controller available, you can buy a SOIC-8 clip and re-flash the actual spi flash chip on your mac using a good dump from around the internet, mainly ghostlyhaks.com... they have plenty of efi firmware dumps, and all you have to do is hexedit the serial number to match yours.

On the raspberry pi, you just wire up the GPIO's to the SOIC-8 clip, get the motherboard exposed on your mac, clasp the SOIC-8 clip onto the spi flash chip, and run flashrom. This has saved me countless times when my pesky friends set efi passwords when I wasn't watching, and I would just flash it to get rid of it.

Doing this will un-brick your mac!

Also, note: running clover on a REAL MAC CAN BRICK IT, I think it accesses the spi flash chip and corrupts it. This only happened to me on macs after 2010, my 2010 macbook pro runs clover efi without bricking, and of course I can afford to brick it cause I can just flash it back.

My 2012 macbook air was bricked by clover efi after rebooting, and I had to re flash it. Symptoms of a brick include a white screen on boot that never goes away and a looping apple chime. I think clover efi bricks macs that have UEFI 2.0 support (2012 and later if I'm correct, the macs that bootcamp windows directly without bios emulation, you can tell if there's a flashing cursor when you boot windows)

If the bootrom patch is available as a standalone file, you can also flash it this way directly to the spi flash chip.

[doublepost=1528945682][/doublepost]This is as far as I got with a Clover emulating a Mac Mini Server 2012 on Mac Pro 3,1 2008.

Gray Apple logo boots, progress bar.
Gets to initial gray screen with arrow in the upper left and after that screen goes black and reboots.

Trying to get safe mode go to work but does not.

Going to try other boot arguments tommorrow.

I finally installed Mojave on my main computer: Hackintosh with a Pentium G3258 (!) + GTX 760 on a H81I from MSI.

It worked fine (even with the outdated clover I had from high sierra) but the UIKit apps show a blank screen.

I do get full acceleration using the native NVDAGK100Hal.kext, so maybe I triggered the OpenGL-only WindowServer? That's the only explanation I can think of...

Screen Shot 2018-06-14 at 12.30.09 AM.png

Also, the menubar stays the same color as in the screenshot no matter what wallpaper I choose, the sidebar colors are the same as the menu bar, and the drop-down menus have a weird gray background, same as the menu bar:

Screen Shot 2018-06-14 at 12.35.14 AM.png

Even though on a screenshot, the left menubar turns back to normal. Any ideas?

Sorry to flood the thread with the same questions. I still am not sure if I can get regular software updates while running the Mac OS Mojave patch and installer. Also not sure if my graphics card is supported. I looked and didn't see anything about my specific graphics card. Once again, sorry for the confusion.

Your graphics cards, the Radeon HD 6770m (Terascale 2, so based off of 5xxx/Evergreen) and the Intel HD 3000 (Sandy Bridge) are being worked on. It seems like the Intel currently is being worked on most, since the stock kexts loaded without change (from high sierra, of course.)

Getting WindowServer to work with OpenGL is the second challenge. The AMD kexts have been loaded with the backported IOAccelerator (see the 1st post a.k.a OP) but the Intel ones are targeted because they have the most users (all the sandy bridge macbook airs + all the macbook pros have at least the intel except the 320m 13" pro)

So currently, just look at the OP and the updates that will go there occasionally.

About macOS updates: once you are on the developer build, you can get updates over the built-in software update mechanism to the next Developer preview (dp2) and then to GM (golden master) and then to the public releases, once released.

But yeah, he does have a point about the repetitive questions. It's great that a lot of people want to try it, but it'd be best if the people who are risking it to run the developer builds to know beforehand the details on what kexts their graphics cards use, and to be ready to debug. Nearly all of the questions are answered on the OP, and that is updated constantly.

Even I on a kepler gpu (officially supported) have graphical glitches with uikit apps, and that's with a metal capable gpu.

Thanks so much for the reply. Im going to wait until Mojave is officially released and hopefully there will be a patch with my graphics card enabled. Im really happy that I can get the updates after initially installing Mojave. Its just like having the "real" software but it will work on my 2011 MacBook Pro.
