The build number does not show this time,

Click on 10.14 under MacOS Mojave in the About Mac dialogue and the build number will appear.

The software update didn't work on a MacPro 3,1 that has beta10 seed installed on an APFS volume on a hard drive. The machine kernel panics during the reboot after the upgrade and on any subsequent reboot. Back to the full installer.
All you have to do is re-run the post-install patch.... You need to do this after any system update.

I had the same issue updating on a MacBookPro5,3. Experienced constant reboot after the upgrade. I re-ran @dosdude1's post-install and also did a "force Cache Rebuild" prior to reboot. Now it works.

Thanks.

Did you apple the post install patches after the upgrade?

Tonight gonna get a AMD 7xxx card running in SafeMode. Then try to emulate SSE4.2
Does dark mode appear a little different, black blacker n white whiter?

Compared to safe mode. safe mode is darker, more defined edges and opaque.

I have not tested light mode in safe mode but it would be pure white menu bar.

Light mode and dark mode with metal looks great.?more transparency in apps like News. I think it looks better then without metal and only qe/ci. User experience is just great.

I am currently seeing if I can emulate sse4.1/4.2 and load the AMD 7xxxx drivers manually with emulation turned on. I have the AMD working in High Sierra and about to load the final kexts now. Crossing my figures. If I get High Sierra to work. I’ll have a solution for Mojave and AMD.

I have the MacBook Pro 17 inch Early 2011. I know that my AMD Graphics Card won't work under Mojave. How do I disable it under macOS Mojave? I don't want to do anything permanent because it is working fine under macOS High Sierra in case I want to reinstall macOS High Sierra.

Okay, that solved the problem. I do have a question about the sequencing. I noticed that after re-applying the patches that the subsequent boot performed an additional 15 minutes of installation. Are we sure that those will never overwrite the patches requiring a second patching?

I tried to install macOS Mojave Beta 11 in the meantime on my MacBook Pro 15 inch 2009 and I got this (Attached Picture). I don't know what is going on?

Did you use Mojave Patcher to convert the Mojave Beta 11 into a patched usb installer that would be usable on unsupported machines?

MVC’s website lists the Titan upgrade for $160 which is a little steep and I don’t know for sure if it will make a 3,1 run at 5.0 GT/s. I had one of his cards before the Titan X Maxwell and did not see a difference from a usability standpoint or any speed bump in Fortnite. The 3,1 MP might stay locked. His cards show 2.5GT/s in system profiler unlike AMD’s flashed cards which show 5.

He also does more marketing stuff on his site so hard to tell what is true or not. And his account is suspended on here. I saw some of his posts and he comes off as a prick. He also did some stuff with Netkas and so did i back in the hackintosh days with Clonetool and he’s a nice guy but I think MVC stole whatever knowledge gained and then ran off by himself which none of us did back then. So I will look for a card that can be flashed, find one that is, or just wait. I don’t want to put much more into the 2008s than I already did.

There is this new group called Bison or Bizon that sell Mac cards.

I will probably sell off my AMD card too unless I can emulate its instruction set and load kexts manually which may be possible still.
[doublepost=1536779621][/doublepost]I don’t know about you but Mojave was a footnote at today’s event. So were Macs.

No new modular Mac Pro.
No new Mac Mini.

More reason not to buy a new Mac.

I make iOS games in my spare time and even the new phones and the watch felt like, i’ve seen all this before at WWDC 2015.

I think macOS fared worst than just the back seat. This was a disastrous summer for macbook pros. Cook looked positively anguished mentioning anything about Mojave. I for one expected more hoopla. Too bad, cause I think Mojave is a pretty good refinement.

Patcher still downloading 14.0.21 installer which should just install the previous version. @dosdude1, when will we be able to installer build 18A389 from the patcher? I already installed OTA, but like to keep my patcher stick updated in case of drive failure or something of that sort. Thanks @dosdude1!

Yes. I just needed to set my time. Thank You! @dosdude1 Do you know how to disable AMD Cards on the 2011 MBP? I don't want to do anything permanent.
Yes, I have a guide here.

Yesterday I installed Mojave on my imac 27 12.2 mid 2011 after reading the tread ....without legacy video patch.... to avoid trails whil moving open windows. Now all is working fine but I miss sound and mic which were working fie under a previous installation. Also using thunderbolt for target display mode from my mbp 13" mid 2011 doesn´t work anymore. Is there anyone having the same problem or anyone having a solution. Should I disable the audio patch too? How can I delete it?

Thanks guys for your phantastic work.

Happened same to me (macbook pro mid2010). Then I re-installed the Patch Updater and now they work perfectly.
