I think that the 10.14.5 supplemental update got installed on you Mac mini. Does your Mac mina boot from natively as I have a mid 2009 iMac 9,1 and a mid 2009 MacBook 5,2 and had to use Dosdude's APFS Rom patcher to enable mine to boot from APFS 2. when you hold the option button while booting does you ssd appear as a boot option if you only see one EFI and your usb Mojave patcher most likely there is an issues with your ssd or its formatted APFS and it is not recognized because its APFS if you can remove your ssd and install it on a working Mac format is HFS(extended Journaled and see if that works then try installing Mojave . 3 Have you used the APFS ROM patcher is is very tricky and could brick your Mac

No. ....I never used the ROM Patcher
and
Yes, Option booting with the latest patcher Only shows (1) EFI and the macOS Base system on the patcher. No SSD shows.
and
Since I have a time machine backup, as of three days ago with v10.14.5
WHY wouldn't reformatting the SSD as APFS Not be superior, to formatting it as HFS+ ?

And No,....I do not believe a late 2009 Mac mini, would natively boot off of an APFS formatted SSD.

Thank you.

your Mac mini doesn't recognize your ssd because its formatted APFS yes APFS is better but if you haven't used the APFS ROM patcher you SSD will not boot unless its HFS (Extended-Journaled)

10.14.6 dev beta 3 successfully installed hybrid patches working as well :)

looked for 10.14.6 beta 3 today and just got notice to go from 10.14.6 beta 2 to Catalina Beta on my MacBook Pro 8,1
is the dev 10.14.6 beta 3 only out and not the public beta for 10.14.6 beta 3? and if so will I even ever get the option to go to 10.14.6 beta 3 now that it see's an update to Catalina Beta.

Thanks,

Yes it is a dev beta you can use this to switch to dev beta and once it checks for updates it should say you have another update available click on that and it should be Mojave 10.14.6 dev beta 3

This is the only solution?

Hm, o.k. i think i can live with it.
If you reinstall 10.14.5 over the supplemental update you won't lose your apps, setting .etc where the other method is to do a clean install and wipe your drive
[doublepost=1561410068][/doublepost]Safari 13 Dev beta is working well :)

SO right now I am running 10.14.5 Mojave on a 2011 5.1 Mini, what is the process to acquire and install the new beta of Catalina?

Will I run into problems?
Follow the MacOS Catalina for unsupported Macs thread and yes mosslike will run into issues as it will be a few weeks before a full patcher is released by Dosdude

I had a mac pro that blew a power supply .. 4.1/5.1 It was running Mojave 10.14.5 ... Can I use the hard rive for it on my IMAC 9,1 by using the sudo nvram args ..

The best way is to hook the HDD as an external usb HDD use the macOSMojave patcher and use the post install patches for your iMac 9,1 and the boot from it but power supplies are fairly cheap on eBay

Thanks.. so I just need the patcher and skip the install part and just run post install scripts .. I will look into replacing power supply .. I had just upgraded that puppy with nvm and a sapphire r570

if you have macOS Mojave installed on the HDD/SSD all you need is to reapply the post install patches for iMac (,1 on the external drive if not then yes you will have install Mojave on the external drive

Success. ....to a point. Now I need to bring it to the finish line
I
1) Removed the SSD, fully erased and formatted HFS
2 Successfully use Patcher 1.3.2 and installed Mojave 10.14.3, plus applied all New patches subsequently

Now
Looking for the correct clear steps to restore from Time Machine with Mojave 10.14.5 and All my data, applications, settings and such
BUT
that TM may have the corruption that caused the original terminal crash.

Thinking of using migration assistant instead
BUT First,
Should I bring the current OS up to 10.14.5

Yes that would be advisable to upgrade to 10.14.5 skip over 10.14.4 since that one has issues after you are successful maybe try TM and don't forget the code in one of the above posts to skip the supplemental 10.14.5 update which is for Macs with a T2 chip

You can be right about RAM. Fan at max is on El Capitain. Havent ried Mojave yet.
I have many many tabs open in Firefox and Safari. Safari is doing better I would say but I use Firefox at work on PC so I prefer it because easy sync.
I should have new thermal paste there as well but your conditions are very demanding compare to mine. That is weird then.
Could on physical side be accumulated dust inside MBA or lack of ventilation.
Could on MBA side need an SMC reset.
Could be many apps or processes running in background.
The best "checklist" I found for you was on another site, and for the next later model after ours, but most of the checks still apply:

Judging by the size, the .6 PB3 is the biggest Mojave point update ever. I erased my Mojave patcher(made a Catalina patcher) so I will have to do all the patching manually after the update. This is going to be fun!

Do you still have 10.14.6 dev beta 3 installed? If so, how is your iSight is working? The old iSight Legacy patch does not seem to work anymore.

No I don't I just installed MacOS Catalina but it wasn't working but from what I read to keep iSight working don't apply the usb and iSight post install patches but my iIsight is back working on Catalina

iSight legacy patch does not work anymore. I need original kexts from .6 B3 or .6 B2.
