This is true on a Catalina unsupported Mac the "Software Update" prefpane does show any other update (example Safari technology preview, Printer drivers, Xcode dev command line tools, etc.) except the Catalina delta/combo ones.

Hey... and it seems that the folder where CoreUI and HiToolBox are located now is protected. Any way to patch this feature like in mojave?

Thanks

Things are a bit changed, now you should use SkyLight hybrid and HIToolBox (the Catalina one), you could use these based on @pkouame and @testheit work: https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/macos-10-15-catalina-on-unsupported-macs.2183772/post-27893393

Guys I'm on MacBook 5,1 (not Pro) with Catalina 19A501i, it's working really good, just one main issue, have two users on it, when I try to logout or switch user, it just freeze, does not respond to anything except force restart, anyone else facing similar issue?

You are still on Catalina beta 3, that "logout/logon/switch-user issue" has been fixed by @ASentientBot on his later wrappers, you should update your Catalina 19A501i to 19A602 using the Catalina Patcher to create a full installer.

there is no patch for CoreUI in Catalina https://github.com/rmc-team/bluesky/releases/tag/1.4.4 we use this if you follow the instruction it will work like Mojave but don't forget to use sudo when using the terminal

Hi all, I am getting the same error on 1.1.9 as on 1.1.7 when trying to create a USB installer. The error says I must ensure the target installer volume is formatted as macOS Extended (Journaled), which it is. Fails at the Restoring BaseImage part....any ideas?
Did you ever get this resolved? I'm getting the same error and can't figure it out? Thanks in advance for any help.

So does the MouSSE patch in Catalina Patcher 1.2.0 completely replace the previous AMD SSE 4,2 video driver patch? If so, shouldn't those AMD video drivers be restored back to their unpatched state?
Yes, it does. Catalina Patcher never included that other AMD patch, so nothing needs to be done with regard to that.

@jackluke forgive me if you mentioned this already but what are the step-by-step instructions to re-enable Airplay on a 2009 iMac 10,1 with unsupported Catalina?

Thank you!

I guess you meant AirDrop, in this case I need to evaluate the output of these terminal commands from your iMac (copy/paste one at once):

ioreg -l | grep "board-id" | awk '{print $4}'
ioreg -r -n ARPT | grep IOName
system_profiler -detailLevel basic | grep "Card Type"

I have used this to make a fully operational recovery partition: Catalina Recovery HD Partition

Thank you for testing and confirm the good work of the program
[/QUOTE]

I have successfully installed Catalina on my miniMac 3.1, and in order to do SIP disable, I have to go to recovery, (Win)CMD+R, but it didn't work, which is a necessary condition to go to Catalina Recovery HD Partition?! So, can I disable SIP, without going to Recovery, or is it an impossible mission, to mention that this is my only installation (Catalina)?!

Yes, I meant Airdrop. Sorry about that. I ran those commands in terminal and here's what I got:

This output: "pci168c,2a"

Indicates that you have a legacy Atheros Wifi card (if I don't get wrong those cards were officially dropped from Mojave by apple).

I only patched the Broadcom Wifi cards, so can't provide an AirDrop patch for your Wifi card.

While I did help achieve acceleration on Catalina, I haven't worked with dual GPU systems at all (just my trusty 2010 MacBook, which has only one GeForce 320M). But I know that @dosdude1 has this page which may help you disable the GPU. After that, the legacy video patch should work with your Intel GPU.

Another more knowledgeable user can give you better instructions.

There is no full installer of any point release beta, only delta updaters. I installed 10.15.0 final and then updated over that by manually extracting the update package with pkgutil --expand-full, and then copying it over the installed system.

I wouldn't bother with that though, just wait until the final release. I'm only testing each version to ensure that the acceleration patches still work. There are no new features (to my knowledge) that make it worthwhile otherwise.
@ASentientBot .. thanks for the tip with extract the update package of a 10.15.1 DP version. Since I'm not the expert, can you please explain exactly how you do it? The Updtae is yes, as far as I know, under Library / Updates or? and how exactly then continues? Thanks for that.

Running Catalina using the latest patcher on a Mac mini Late 2009.

I seem to be running into the same issue as this person described (but who was then referred here, since it seems to be an issue with patched Catalina installations only).

I also don't see the "Photos" entry under Library in Photos.app. Is it somehow related to the type of video card/acceleration, and is there a way to enable it? Thanks!

@TimothyR734 Mmmm... I think that i'm doing something wrong. I downloaded this file

I uncompressed all the files. I went to terminal and i writed "sudo" and the file "BlueSky.sh" (i dragged the file to terminal). I hit "enter".

Then, the file asked me some questions (like the name of my hard disk). It seems that the proccess is ok. But... when i try to reboot, the system hangs (I only see the circle with a rainbown spinning). If i force the restart, OSX didn't restart (I only see the black apple with the grey background). the bar is at 100% but the system don't restart (I can't see the black backgroud with the white apple in the middle).

I tried to apply both patches (HiToolbox and bluesky) and only bluesky... but nothing works (i had to reinstall the entire system). Any workaround?

In Mojave i know how to arrange the gray menus with HiToolbox and CoreUI, but in Catalina seems that it's harder to do it.

I'd like to test the SSE4.2 emulator (thanks Syncretic) now in dosdude's 1.1.20 patcher (thanks dd1) in a MP 3,1 with the AMD RX570 but not before flashing an efi bootrom onto the PC RX570. Is such a proven bootrom "out there" and for what maker/code of RX570?

The Mac ROM for those cards is not publicly available, the only option is to mail your card in to MacVidCards (who developed these ROMs), and pay him to flash it for you.
