Curious that they got SO close to being a T2 or Apple Silicon only release. You know Apple REALLY wants to get to that point as soon as possible.
The 2017 Macbook Air was basically a 2015 with a faster CPU inside, same GPU and other things. Even the same model numberOh for goodness sake Apple. Yet another year of aggressive dropping of Macs. They were still selling the 2017 MacBook Air under 3 years ago!
yeah, it was about time though imo. The hardware could still run it but it's quite old now...Mac Pro 6,1 dropped?
Wow.
It does, just loading the update from 12.5beta to Ventura Beta....fingers crossed.I wonder if open core patcher right now will pick up the new beta if a profile is installed. With the over the air update.

Average product cycle: 5 years til vintage, 7 years til obsolete. My personal MBP is a 2018 intel model. I wonder how many years of updates i have left . . .
No Problem. I apologize that it caused issues as that was not my intent at all. I just saw this thread disappear which is why I created it. If I knew that it would cause issues I would have never made the thread. I can not wait to see the new patchers and wish everyone good luck with creating them.thanks a lot for changing and understanding! Sorry if there was any confusion. Appreciate how quick you were. BTW feel free to edit the first post since it's a wikipost if it has any missing info.
How are you able to do this?I'm updating to 13.0 on my 11,5 MBP.
My 6,1 was manufactured in 2017 and purchased new in 2020 with AppleCare+ into 2023. Not so old!yeah, it was about time though imo. The hardware could still run it but it's quite old now...

When I click the link nothing happens.Post #25 in this thread.
The link on Mr. Macintosh's website worked for me.When I click the link nothing happens.
yep 10bit HEVC is first introduced with Kaby Lake, I guess that's the Nr.1 Reason why all machines before Kaby Lake where droppedI guess it's kaby lake or later which is the first CPU to support hardware 10 bit HEVC encode among other things
Try fusion, Parallels or MS office late version and you will be in trouble. What are some of the issues you've experienced? My 2012 Mini has zero issues that I've noticed compared to a natively supported Mac. SIP being partially disabled could be considered an issue though
Office 2019 with latest patches works fine on my 2012 mini.Try fusion, Parallels or MS office late version and you will be in trouble.
