which mac? if it's an intel machine, try resetting nvram. or perhaps someone else here has an idea...

amazing to hear! are you using any plugins at all like Neat Video? what kind of M1 Mac? I'm on M1 Max 16"
I am new to FCP and haven't started using plugins yet. Usually, I use Adobe's Creative Suite (Premiere Pro), but I got the Apple Professional app package when I got the Mac Studio. So I also have Logic Pro, Compressor, Mainstage, and Motion installed.
I have the Mac Studio, M1 Max.
oh wow I noticed you'e using the same NAS as me too! Are you editing directly from it? I'm editing directly from it with 5 drives installed via RAID 6. getting about 450 write speed and 650 read. I'm a little scared of running my DJ apps on but I think it might be fine since I've done a clean install when I switched to my M1 first generation. I just got my 16" MacBook Pro M1 max" yesterday and I just want to geek out with Ventura but I do film/photography / DJ full time so a little worried (I've played this crazy game before though )
Just a note here - Do you really think Apple would release a product or beta of an OS that didn't work with it's own SW🤔

Well in the past betas I have noticed bugs that made the app unusable/safe for people that work consistently with it. Not to mention the plug-ins that we tend to use professionally as well. Figured I’d ask to see if maybe others were using it professionally/consistently/ daily driver.
I have 8 x 10TB drivers in Raid6, and connecting via Thunderbolt directly to the NAS gets me around 500MB/s write and around 1500MB/s read speeds.

yeah. i can tell some real horror stories about mac OS betas and logic pro (final cut's always done pretty well thru the betas, including now, on my intel imac). logic has one major issue here: bouncing a mix over a same-named file crashes the app. otherwise, pretty great...
I will confirm that Pioneer Rekordbox DJ does not see external drives such as SD cards & USB sticks.
Also, Serato DJ Pro opened after 2 force quits and worked just fine. Haven't done full testing with Serato & hardware yet though. - MacBook Pro 16" M1 Max

Although I'm able to enable Test Builds on all of the Rogue Amoeba apps, I'm not yet seeing any updates for any of them that allow the app to actually launch in any way. Only options still are to either visit their support site or 'Quit'.
No issue when using it but try to update it. Then you will get errors when it try to install the new update .
Right, and as I said, I was able to install the update and start a new meeting.
Forscore is not working with Ventura.
