it's working fine here. have you rebooted? and is this with safari, or...? do you have any extensions running in your browser? just some ideas...

Yeah, did a reboot. This is with Safari, yes. There are extensions running but not sure which one would actually interfere with that functionality (though I'll start disabling them to test it)

Thanks for comparing notes

So with the new beta i can't take screenshots anymore, at all. It lets me select a portion of the screen i want to screenshot but it doesn't make the captured sound and it doesn't save anything or copy to the clipboard.
Exact same thing for me.

I've used Skitch for screenshots for years, and it’s free. You could use this in replacement, or just until the beta corrects..

Beta 4 can't come soon enough.

The most annoying bug in beta 3: Opening certain apps/windows causes them to go into background a second later. Have to manually bring them forward by clicking on the app/window.

And for me, apps continue to move to the background while using them.. It's most annoying when trying to bounce tracks in Logic Pro and the Save dialog box comes up and I can't type in any of the fields. I have to swipe out to another app and then back to Logic again, and THEN I can type. Here's some more people having this similar issue:

interesting, and wondering why some people are experiencing this; might be worth looking for a common denonimator.

for me, Logic Pro is working fine (all my working apps are fine); i am not having that issue (fyi, logic is my main app).

It seems to be one or a number of different Finder extensions being used? I've gone as far as disabling everything I have listed, but am still seeing this issue. Not really seeing any commonly used Finder extensions from that thread, though. Maybe just a beta 3 thing. We'll know some time this week, though ;)

always great when an OS update fixes (intentionally or not) some quirky behaviors... 👍

Speedometer tests in Safari / Beta 4 on a 2018 rMBP are still about the same as in beta 3, 158-164.

Overall launching and responsiveness feel slightly faster.

Wrong on the version number, but “recently added” does not separate albums into groups anymore. They are all piled into one big view - which is actually better imo?
Abso-freaking-lutely NOT! It makes the feature less useful and compliant with other apps like, say, Photos.app. What's worse, it caps the number of albums at 60, which makes it virtually useless for people with large libraries.

And what's even WORSE is the fact that there's no other way to properly sort album views into date added… As for song list views, it is possible, but there's all sorts of weird behaviours (albums added via drag'n'drop look mostly fine, albums ripped from CDs have their track order reversed, compilations and albums with certain artists different from the album artist get all jumbled up, it's a mess!!).

You mean it doesn't tell you when they were added? Like "Today", "This week" "3 months ago", etc.?
Yes, but, as I've just said above, it's even more seriously gimped.

Aw I don’t think I like that change.
I don't like it either, preferred it being separated by when it was recently added.
To say that I don't like (or just “prefer” the old way”) it is a bit of an understatement, I EFFING HATE IT!!! I'm already regretting the fact that I didn't enrol on the betas before, so I could give them proper feedback, but I guess I'll have to install the 14.1 or 14.2 public betas on an external SSD just so I may legitimately use Feedback Assistant.app and rip Apple Engineering a new one. This is already making the rounds on Reddit (here, here and here), and people over there also have some choice words for their, err, UX “choice” (if it feels like a bug, the community will treat it as such).
