Google is your friend for hackintoshes. I just did a search and there are multiple hits.Is anyone successfully running OCLP on a Z97X motherboard with Sonoma?
Hey! , I have a 11,2 as well.....do you have a HDD or upgraded SDD?iMac Mid 2010 👍 Opencore 1.2.1
He could be lost, there has been a recent outbreak. 🤤Google is your friend for hackintoshes. I just did a search and there are multiple hits.
OCLP is not designed or intended nor is it "officially" supported for hackintoshes (and don't ask the OCLP Devs for help with a hackintosh). Don't ask me how I know. Unless you can copy someone else's OC EFI, you're on your own when it comes to creating the Open Core EFI and applying OCLP post-install patches. You'll find OCLP advice for hackintoshes in InsanelyMac and other forums.
i have 2 mac pro 2012, i do not find them to be noisy at all...unless i crank the fans up, then its just a low hum.heck yeah it can be noisy lol but it works for me!
Thanks!
Not very fast but good with a bit of lag here and there and not to forget the CPU load and slow response. Now I am used to it4GB RAM? 😳 how is that working out for you?
Yes I do remember. Apple has always been greedy on Ram.You remember though, that there was the MBA with 2 Gb of RAM - it was practically unusable! 4Gb RAM made them usable. What was Apple thinking of? Cynicism carried to the extreme.
I wonder if dosdude1 would be able to solder 16GB into that baby. You remember though, that there was the MBA with 2 Gb of RAM - it was practically unusable! 4Gb RAM made them usable. What was Apple thinking of? Cynicism carried to the extreme.
Thanks, @luckyduke23! I have an iMac 27” 14,2 late 2013, with i7 CPU and GTX780M.I just updated my Mac to MacOS 14.1.2 / OCLP 1.2.1 using the downloaded installer instead of OTA. I downloaded the new matching KDKs beforehand, which was useful as I had no wifi after the Sonoma update when OCLP asked me to install the patches. I still had some graphical glitches, but they disappeared after a NVRAM reset. Seems to be running fine now...
Similar experience here, but with 14.2b4 on same machine. Fans have been working quite a bit less since latest OCLP 1.3.0n, 14.2 b4 and/or latest Safari.Updated rMBP10,1 from 14.1 to 14.1.2, OCLP 1.2.1. All went well, and the fans aren't running at present. With the previous 14.1 fans were on most of the time and I stopped using the rMBP10,1 until today.

Actually, he did.I wonder if dosdude1 would be able to solder 16GB into that baby.
Yeah I saw that video way back and was thinking hope it was my 13 inch 🤣Actually, he did.- That's one hell of a dude, no pun intended.
Thanks @5T33Z0Slick theme. I like it a lot! But is there a way to disable all these small Icons next to the main entries? I find them distracting, they don't allign well and they don't work for the "Reset" and "Power off" buttons – they cover-up the actually buttons once they are highlighted.
Answer 1) is YES, it works. No, I have not yet checked the sleep mode issues but will do so now and let you know...Thanks, @luckyduke23! I have an iMac 27” 14,2 late 2013, with i7 CPU and GTX780M.
I have just two questions for you and other friends with an iMac identical to mine:
1) have you checked whether Continuity Camera working now?
2) have you checked whether some icons on the right side of the menu bar still disappear after a somewhat long sleep?
A thousand thanks!
Thanks @5T33Z0
Tell me exactly which icon you want to deactivate exactly?I don't really understand why you say that certainOpenCore Contents Flavoursicons don't work well
For the power off and restart buttons you have to press TAB to use them then press Enter
You probably didn't know how these icons work.
Ha ok if you dont like this icon change the Icon for this one, it is transparent then not visibleI know how to use access the "Reset" and "Power off" buttons.
I try to explain it again: The icons are not the issue. This issue is the selector overlay. It adds an additional small icon in the lower right to indicate the location of the OS (HDD, USB, etc). And this really clashes with the rest of the theme. An in case of the power and reset buttons it covers up the actual button graphic.

Thanks. I replaced it with the transparent one. I also replaced some others. I also repleace BtnFocus because the hand that points down on power/reset buttons don't work well in Sonoma.
Now this works for me:
