Is anyone successfully running OCLP on a Z97X motherboard with Sonoma?
Google is your friend for hackintoshes. I just did a search and there are multiple hits.

OCLP is not designed or intended nor is it "officially" supported for hackintoshes (and don't ask the OCLP Devs for help with a hackintosh). Don't ask me how I know. Unless you can copy someone else's OC EFI, you're on your own when it comes to creating the Open Core EFI and applying OCLP post-install patches. You'll find OCLP advice for hackintoshes in InsanelyMac and other forums.

Updated rMBP10,1 from 14.1 to 14.1.2, OCLP 1.2.1. All went well, and the fans aren't running at present. With the previous 14.1 fans were on most of the time and I stopped using the rMBP10,1 until today.

I used the OTA update from System Settings, no issues. OCLP auto-prompted to reapply root patches on first login. Very happy so far! 👍

I just updated my Mac to MacOS 14.1.2 / OCLP 1.2.1 using the downloaded installer instead of OTA. I downloaded the new matching KDKs beforehand, which was useful as I had no wifi after the Sonoma update when OCLP asked me to install the patches. I still had some graphical glitches, but they disappeared after a NVRAM reset. Seems to be running fine now...

Thanks, @luckyduke23! I have an iMac 27” 14,2 late 2013, with i7 CPU and GTX780M.
I have just two questions for you and other friends with an iMac identical to mine:
1) have you checked whether Continuity Camera working now?
2) have you checked whether some icons on the right side of the menu bar still disappear after a somewhat long sleep?
A thousand thanks!

Similar experience here, but with 14.2b4 on same machine. Fans have been working quite a bit less since latest OCLP 1.3.0n, 14.2 b4 and/or latest Safari.
Not sure why as these items changed at the same time so cause or correlation undecided. But happy here also.

Hello there! Been reading this thread for months.

I have iMac 27" Late 2015 and Mac Pro 2013 running with OCLP 1.2.1 and Sonoma 14.1. Here are some issues I faced:
1) Upgraded from Ventura 13.5 to 14.0 and noticed that both macs got missing model name and year in about this mac section. Thought this would be solved in 14.1 update, but nothing has changed.
2) Mac Pro connected to Thunderbolt Display doesn't show the video of the interlocutor in FaceTime when I make or receive calls. It acts like an audio call, no matter if the camera is turned on or off. Although on the other device you can see the picture from TBD. This was a problem in Ventura as well.
3) Noticed a weird bug working with external drives that I use with Windows in 14.1. As we know, macOS always generates ._ , .trashes etc. files and folders that are usually hidden in Windows. After 14.1 update they somehow became visible in Windows and have to be hidden manually.

Has anyone faced these problems too? Are the any solutions?

Slick theme. I like it a lot! But is there a way to disable the small HDD icon overlay that's attached to the selector? I find it distracting and it doesn't allign well. It also doesn't work for with the "Reset" and "Power off" buttons – it covers up the actually buttons once they are highlighted.

Thanks @5T33Z0
Tell me exactly which icon you want to deactivate exactly? I don't really understand why you say that certain OpenCore Contents Flavours icons don't work well

For the power off and restart buttons you have to press TAB to use them then press Enter

You probably didn't know how these icons work. ;)

Answer 1) is YES, it works. No, I have not yet checked the sleep mode issues but will do so now and let you know...

Update: sleep mode issues still persist. After wakeup no window shadows in light mode and task bar icons for Spotlight and BT were not displayed properly. Spotlight icon returns after click but BT stays missing. As before functions are however available at the blank spaces.

I know how to use access the "Reset" and "Power off" buttons.

I try to explain it again: The icons are not the issue. This issue is the selector overlay. It adds an additional small icon in the lower right to indicate the location of the OS (HDD, USB, etc). And this really clashes with the rest of the theme. An in case of the power and reset buttons it covers up the actual button graphic.

Thanks. I replaced it with the transparent one. I also replaced some others. I also repleace BtnFocus because the hand that points down on power/reset buttons don't work well in Sonoma.

Now this works for me:
