Click that link and look for 26.0
Apologies if I am being dense, but isn't that 26.0 KDK only for Tahoe? The problem I am running into is that OCLP is looking for a KDK for 15.7 (24G207). I can see it is trying to fall back to a 15.6 KDK, but cannot find one and then is unable to proceed to root patch since the 15.5 KDK is not a close enough match. If I rename the 15.5 (24F74) KDK to 15.7 (24G207) to try to force it to fall back to the most recent KDK for Sequoia, the patcher proceeds and seems to merge the kexts with the system volume but then when trying to rebuild the boot and system kernel collections it fails due to unresolved dependencies.

Did you try the same procedure with the 26.0 kdk?

well this is nice.

Yes, I tried renaming the 26.0 KDK to match 15.7, and many, many errors including unresolved dependencies when trying to build the boot and system kernel collections. So, no luck with that.
Sounds like it’s not as easy as i thought. I was certain i saw the hint on github, the 26 kdk is downward compatible. Wishful thinking perhaps!

Just thought I would share this for informational purposes only. One of the programs I've had for a few years, but don't use too often is the MacGo Blu-ray player (Pro version) which supports full disc playback including menus as a stand alone player would. Happy to report it works on Sonoma via OCLP. Wasn't sure if it would, or not with Random DRM items not working.

Apparently, macOS 15.7 is now an RC. Available via the Beta registration program and features the most tedious installation EVER until it reaches the 9 minutes remaining screen. 😤:apple:
I thought it would be a few more months before macOS 15.7 released... I checked back and most of the .7 updates were released September or later in Sequoia, Sonoma, and Ventura.

Also, I couldn't find the KDK for 10.6 either, only 10.5 (it turned out I didn't need it for my 15" 2015 MacBook Pro). There seems to be a delay between when an update is released and when the KDK becomes available.

Also, I was looking for a current web browser for old versions of macOS and I discovered Firefox Dynasty by i3roly (Gagan Sidhu). It's a port of Firefox 141.0.3 and it works perfectly on macOS 10.11 El Capitan. Chromium Legacy was the previous choice, but it doesn't have updates beyond May 2024.

MBP11,1: installed 15.7 (24G207, RC?) over 15.6 on external SSD, from USB installer.
OCLP 2.4.0 used for downloading installer and for patching. Metallib support pkg from 15.6 is used.
Smooth installation. Writing from Safari 26.0.
As always, thank you, developers!

In a test volume, I upgraded my MBP6,2 from Sequoia 15.5 -> Sequoia 15.7 Beta (RC?). I applied post-install patches for non-metal Nvidia Tesla and Wi-Fi using OCLP 2.4.0 built from source as described below. Posting this with Safari 18.6 (did not upgrade Safari yet). So far, so good. Amazing.

Building OCLP for Sequoia 15.7 Beta
As noted earlier in this thread and at the time of this post, OCLP cannot find a suitable KDK for patching 15.7.

This is because OCLP has restrictions on the suitable KDK version (for good reason, I'm sure). Using @hvds 's trick here, I relaxed the OCLP KDK restrictions and built OCLP from master source.

With the modified OCLP, KDK 24F74 is considered to be a suitable match and patching is allowed.

Note that I am sure OCLP Devs have good reason for their chosen KDK version restrictions. Overriding the restriction is good for testing and experimentation, but it will be best to wait for the release of a suitable KDK by Apple.

can someone help with kext replacement: mbp6,2 has faulty gpu and needs specific agpm.kext with changed power states, - but with read only file system and some background checks after root patching it is black screened and kext rewritten(?) only bless to latest-sealed-snapshot restores loading to desktop but with laggy experience and non working hardware like wifi

p.s. wish it was an option in oclp settings 😩

You are right. Caution is necessary, I restrict myself to testing/experimentation.

In the KDK case I assumed that its main purpose is to get hold of the kmutil tool which formerly was part of the OS delivery and now needs to be taken from KDK. The version of kmutil may not change often. But I have limited understanding.
While the metallib support pkg really takes (many) kexts from the OS and patches them so here the exact version is more important if I understand correctly.
