That's a bug. No worries.
Ohk- but why even 'Battery Monitor' is reading it wrong-- saying capacity is (already) 98% !

Reset PRAM. That fixed mine.
I cannot fix the keyboard backlight which is super dimmed and doesn’t adjust to maximum brightness.
I also have green buttons on the TouchBar when my Mac is booting up.
Does anyone else have these problems?
MBP 2018 15inch
I also noticed very glitchy interface. When adjusting widgets, it feels so choppy as if uses some software to render graphics rather than HW.Same problems here on my 15” 2018.
I'm concerned about all the reports I'm seeing about failed upgrade attempts leading to essentially non-functional machines that require some real voodoo to get restored.
Beta 3 is for me worse than beta 2.
I’ve seen a couple of users having weird green icons on the TouchBar and the same problem with the keyboard backlight having only off and very dimmed.
I am experiencing these too.
I guess we have to wait for beta 4 and hope they get addressed.
On my MBA with 4 GB RAM intensive use of chrome causes the system to freeze from time to time. However, there is a worse problem - a sudden logout even several times a day. There is not even a trace in the console.
HDMI audio, when connecting with an adaptor (I have tried Apple, Aukey and Anker) hubs, does not work. I tried on Catalina and Bootcamp partitions and they work fine. When plugging in on the USB-C port on the right side, it works fine in Big Sur. Definitely a software issue.
Hey guys, does someone has a problem with memory leaking? Memory on my MBP 2019 is leaking like hell.
After restart, I start Safari with 55% memory usage. After one hour (with 7 Tabs) it is already over 99% and needs to be restarted.
Beta 3 is the worst beta.
I have this problem too Beta 2, The Tech Preview work fine
Beta 3 is worse for me also. Safari glitches, buttons not working consistently through out. However, compared to Catalina at this point, it is still very good.Well, despite my best intentions, my iMac upgraded itself to beta 3. Happily, I wasn't plagued with the startup/bricking issues that some people have hit. It's running just fine (given the usual set of early beta bugs). Whew.

Not 100% if this is an issue with Big Sur (I am on Beta 3 but also experienced this on Beta 1) or if it is my Macbook, but I have a MacBook Air (13-inch, 2017) and it goes crazy when I try to connect my iPad (7th gen running latest iPadOS 14 Beta), it goes into a constant loop of recognizing/not recognizing the device kinda like if I had unplugged and plugged it back again
Do you have other devices connected at the same time? This usually happens when there's not enough power to got around. I have to disconnect one of my drives on my 2014 5K iMac to connect any iOS device. Not 100% if this is an issue with Big Sur (I am on Beta 3 but also experienced this on Beta 1) or if it is my Macbook, but I have a MacBook Air (13-inch, 2017) and it goes crazy when I try to connect my iPad (7th gen running latest iPadOS 14 Beta), it goes into a constant loop of recognizing/not recognizing the device kinda like if I had unplug and plugged it back again
Did you by any chance try to use a different cable? I have that issue but it cable-related but still work depending on how I lay/plug the cable.

I agree Catalina is solid, but at Beta 3 it was a disaster!Oh, these betas have a fair few bugs (eg. I have one conversation in Messages I cannot get a text input box for, no matter what I do), so I won't be moving my primary machines over to it just yet ... but Catalina has been pretty solid for me in general.
