With Big Sur 11.3.1 I'm experiencing a weird mouse issue, which I seem to not have read before.
I'm using a microsoft mouse, always worked in previous big sur releases.
The mouse still works but sometimes the left click in the dock doesn't work: for example, I have the application folder in the dock, left click on it --> ok --> click on an application to start it --> all behaves as the click was accepted but the app doesn't launch.
Or with the bin, right click on it --> ok --> empty bin with left click --> all behaves as the click was accepted but no confirmation window to empty the bin.
This happens randomly.
Anybody with the same issue?

PS: I exclude an hardware problem

Thank you @jtkc for the confirmation, at least I'm not alone with this :D
I think there's nothing to do here, and wait for the fix, I hope in the upcoming 11.4 release.
Do you confirm you have 11.3.1?
Because with all past release versions the issue wasn't there.

For the love of everything that is holy, will macOS PLEASE STOP RE-ARRANGING MY SPACES based on who knows what. Both the settings in Mission Control are disabled - all I want is to have my two primary virtual sessions as the first two spaces/desktops. That's not asking for much is it?

So are those on Intel Macs running BigSur not having ANY Bluetooth issues? My m1 Mini is doing nothing BUT having BT issues. Constantly. My keyboard and mouse are now going out forcing me to reboot. I have to reset the BT module every day or two because of delayed keystrokes and non-English character "bubble" popups. I need to know if this is an OS or hardware issue. Since it gets (temporarily) fixed on a reboot, and happens after a period of non-use, I'm leaning toward OS.

I've posted about this in the past but the problem persists. Since macOS 11.2 my Mac Pro 2013 won't sleep. It does briefly enter sleep as scheduled in the Energy Saver control panel but after only a few seconds wakes. I've disconnected external drives, looked at activity monitor for something preventing sleep, stopped time machine backups, all to no avail. Before 11.2 all was well. The only thing that does correct the problem is unchecking "wake for network access". My network is unchanged as far as I know, no new devices or other changes. The problem continues in 11.4. I would really like my mac to sleep normally and also to be able to wake it from sleep to access files over the network. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I'm also having an issue with my M1 MBP not sleeping (or even triggering the screensaver). I'm also on 11.4, but it's been happening for roughly a month+

I saw a weird bug yesterday after updating to 11.4 where my Mac no longer required a password. Whenever I lifted the lid, it started up, no password screen or haptic on my Apple Watch. A reboot seemed to fix it but I have not seen that before.

Cross posted from the Music thread here, but the Music app isn't updating playcounts or last played in the Music app if you are streaming to an AirPlay device such as HomePods. This started with 11.4.

My wireless connection on my M1 MBP keeps dropping. I’ve tried clearing my DNS and forgetting my wireless network. Rebooting.. I can connect initially, all seems well for maybe 5 min or so. Then I’m unable to get online. Shows I’m still connected to my SSID. I can turn wireless off/on, and it’ll connect again but only for about 5 minutes again.

I forgot to mention that I’ve even reinstalled macOS 11.4 over itself. Still not seeing any change.

same thing happening here except a reboot does not fix the issue i.e. no password when the lid if lifted it seems with 11.4 the laptop is no longer going to sleep when the lid is shut. Big Sur is an absolute disgrace with the bugs.

I don't know when this started but all shortcuts are greyed out in the menu bar dropdown menus. I think it's not supposed to be this way, right? They still work but all are greyed out (even the ones where the text is not greyed out).

I woke this morning to my M1 MBP at 16% battery because the screen was on all night while the lid was closed and not connected to my dock. It was in its case in my bag and was probably hotter than I’ve ever seen it in the 6 or so months I’ve had it.

Any one have any idea what this is?

This dot to the vertical-centre of the app moves. That is not a dead pixel. If I remove Telegram, it will move to Firefox. It was not there yesterday. Any idea? I will restart and see if it is still there.

I'm using an M1 Mini. I'm having a following issue after update to 11.4. When an edited (and cropped) photo is used as the desktop background, my Mac uses the "unedited, original" version as the background. That is, when I go to "Change Desktop Background," the thumbnail correctly shows the edited version of the photo. However, when I select it as the background, my Mac uses the unedited, original version as the background. Is anyone having this issue?

The dot shows that the Mac thinks the application is running. Mostly it is, sometimes it isn't.
If you click on the icon with the dock, it will open the app, then you can close it.

When you reboot, make sure that you untick the box that says "Reopen Windows when logging back in"

I think you might be mistaken since I did not make it clear. I’m talking about the dot to the right of the app, not the bottom. Anyway, a killall Dock command fixed it, and it hasn’t sprung again yet.

Looks like the Mail app with a way too tiny icon.
I saw that bug mentioned on reddit, but it never happened to me. No idea what causes it.

Thank you. Mail isn’t open or wasn’t opened and closed. This is only between Firefox Nightly and Telegram. Maybe something triggered by Firefox Nightly. That’s the only new app on my system and this is happening after this app. I don’t mind, I was curious. Any which way, I will be on macOS 12 beta come 7th, looking forward to new bugs. This one is boring.

Having issues with my main click for Safari on the top right Download/Upload/add tab. This also occurs on my desktop...I cannot click on my files in the upper right hand corner (MacBook Air M1 2020).

Update: after 3 restarts it works again!

Does anyone have problem launching iOS game app (catalyst) while playing music (Apple Music or VLC)? It is crashing both the iOS game app and the music player app, while disconnecting the Bluetooth device.
