@dosdude1

My MacBook (Early 2009 - white) actually runs Mac OS X El Capitan. I have tried all steps to boot into the USB drive (High Sierra), SIP is disabled. I have also tried to use another port and another USB drive but the progress bar stops at 60%. You got any advise?

Aha, I see. Can you help @dosdude1 perhaps?
Unfortunately, there's no real fix for that currently.

Try another USB drive (yes, redundant, I know... But some drives just won't boot a macOS installer for some reason). You can also try making a small ~10GB partition on your main drive, and use that as the installer.

I just noticed that the built in iSight of my late 2008 MacBook stopped working under High Sierra.
I don't know when this happened, maybe after the 10.13.2 update? If I remember it correctly it was working with 10.13.0 on this Mac.

It's no big deal, just wondering whether I am the only one or whether this is a general issue with this type of Mac.

Yup, I ran into that problem myself.

@dosdude1 Any ideas? I had Sierra on the mashine about a year ago but I decided to do a clean install on the official Version of El Capitan and then upgrade to High Sierra. But now even the internal drive with a partition around 10 GB doesn‘t boot, this is crazy.

I can report; the brand new MacOS 13.3.3 (Build 17D47) works well on my iMac 9.1.

Only had to reinstall the NightShiftPatch via the PatchUpdater-app.
Nice. Gone are the Meltdown & Specter vulnerabilities with this security update.

UPDATE: Streaming videos (on my iMac on NVIDIA GeForce 9400) runs smóóth on 1440p. :-D

I had a few issues... i had to reapply the patch and then restart three times... i feel like the graphics are still slower

2008 3,1 2x3.2 8 core 16gb ram and 5770 1gb

2008 3,1 2x2.8 quad core 12gb ram and 5770 1gb

Upgraded from 10.13 to 10.13.3. I had to reapply the patches from the tool.

App store not working properly. I reset the catalog but still no good

Also, have some weird video issues, when I run the google backup and sync, the icon doesn't show up properly in the upper right hand part of the screen, I get some words instead. Also, Cisco Spark wont show messages.

I think for the App Store many people had to run “Onyx” automation to resolve issue. Many posts about it earlier in thread. No idea about other issues.

The 10.13.3 on a Mac Pro 3.1 update went smoothly, which is great.

One small problem, though: The SIP Disabler Patch wasn't installed here, neither via post install, nor via Patch Updater's Re-install afterwards.

What could be done? Thx!

Is there any performance differences after the update?

Ah ok, I reverted to my cloned drive to 10.13. Will rerun and apply Onyx when I have time.

I have the same mac with the same configuration (3.1 with ssd an ATI raedon hd 5770). I had the same problem. I solved by re-installing "AMD video card patch" via utility-> patch update

OK, this is a good one. On my cloned backup 10.13, testing Time Machine, when I enter the Time Machine and try to go to a prior date, the windows are all Red!

Sounds like you need to fire up the Patch Updater app that's already on your system. If I guessed right you can install an AMD patch there, reboot once and graphics should be fine.

Once again I can't believe the amount of value generated by the work of @dosdude1. If you guys like his patch you should consider buying him a beer via his PayPal here: http://dosdude1.com/highsierra/

I am having to reinstall macos after upgrading to 10.13.3 as WindowServer is restarting/crashing over and over again.

Will update once I have a clean install of .13.3

exact...the graphics after AMP patch is ok!
unfortunately I have the problem (in both versions 10.13.2 and 10.13.3) of the black screen after the sleep and and I tested that before applying the AMD patch this problem was not there ... :(
do you also have my same problem?

I agree for the beer
