Well, I keep having problems with 3rd party Bluetooth mice. After 10.13.3 my Lifetech BT mouse doesn't reconnect after a few secs pause, I have to turn it off and on. What's wrong with BT? They were all working perfectly with El Capitan.

Edit: Interesting, did a Debug->Reset BT module, no problems yet...

When do you run the AMD GPU uninstall, after booting w/ the new card?
[doublepost=1516891230][/doublepost]BTW, when I went back to my cloned drive I went from AFPS to HFS+. Faster boot, better Time Machine performance, and better overall performance.
Hi,
Which mac do you use?
I have a Mac Pro 3.1 with SSD in PCI.... is your advice to format the disc into HFS+ and not AFPS for better performance?

[doublepost=1516915306][/doublepost]I have a question.
about myMac Pro 3.1
I just bought (recommended by dosdude1) a Nvidia GTX680 (flashed with Native Apple EFI rom) replacement for Radeon hd 5770 (now the Raedon works with some problems with AMD video Card patche).

now:

1- Do I make a clean installation?
2- Should I exclude the AMD patch during installation?
2- Do I have to install the nvidia drivers?
3- And the CUDA drivers?
4- ssd in hfs+ or in afps for best performance?

Thanks a lot!
sorry for my English!

For my setup (Mac Pro 3,1, OWC SSD, Radeon 5770 soon to be Nvidia 285) I found that HFS+ is a better way to go.

As far as I can tell, you do not need to install the Nvidia drivers. I am assuming that you do need the CUDA drivers for better performance of certain specific programs. If you have the Nvidia card installed can't see why you would need the AMD patch.

You don't have to change anything, just uninstall the AMD Video Card patch using this script... It will cause issues with the GTX680.

@dosdude1 - Also apply patch for GTX285? Run the uninstall script after booting first time with the Nvidia card?
Yes, you'll want to remove the AMD video card patch if you're not using a card that needs it. Having it installed will cause performance issues.

Quick update for those who are interested. I upgraded my Mac Pro 3,1 to High Sierra 10.13.3 last night without any initial problems. Re-ran the nightshift patch and things seem fine. My upgraded apple BT+WIFI module is working with HandOff, Watch Unlock and Apple BT devices. My GTX 680 continues to be fine (a replacement for my 5770 card early in the process.) Will report back if I run in to any issues. Nothing like security issues to get me to pull the trigger on updates.

On other note, I've kept my SSDs running HFS+. Mainly this was to simplify my life for boot volume compatibility. Scratch drives on the other hand I've upgraded to APFS.

Also, I have an iMac Pro on order to finally return to the land of supported hardware, plus with a huge boost to CPU and GPU performance. Not sure if I'll revert my Mac Pro to a stock machine and resell it or if someone else here would want to scrap portions of it for parts (like my GTX card, for example). TBD

As a fellow 3.1 owner not running APFS I'm curious to know your results (if you switch).

Updated my MP 3,1 with BT4LE card update, GTX680 (running updated nVidia webdrivers and CUDA for 10.13.3) and Samsung 850 EVO SSD on PCIe formatted as APFS from 10.13.2 to 10.13.3 with no problems at all this morning.
Did not need to reapply patches, etc.

What do the Nvidia webdrivers and Cuda drivers add?

No, you need to run the script found here to uninstall it.
As always, thank you for the assistance.:)

My notes on how to run a script in Terminal

"chmod +x filename.sh" to make the script executable.
"./filename.sh" to activate the script
Or in this case, for the script in question,
drag it to an open Terminal window and press the Enter key.

My MacBook Pro 5,1 has been at 10.3.3 for a day or so. I had a freeze/crash today when waking from sleep. I never log out but have to re-enter my password when waking, but before I had a chance to enter the password I got a spinning beachball. I was able to move the cursor (beachball) for a short while but then it froze completely with no spinning. I failed to resurrect it so had to power off and on. This is the first time it's happened with 10.3.3 but I had it a couple of times with 10.3.2. Any idea what might be causing this and/or where I might begin to look? No clues in the system.log.

I have a question regarding this (and the Sierra) patch. It will break my wifi-card in my 2008 mac pro. But is this only affecting the Sierra patched OS? Or will the wifi-card be gone if I boot in Windows or and older version of OS X?

No worry, it will be only broken in macOS High Sierra. Of course the hardware is still working on other OS.
