Is there something that prevents AppCleaner from working?
The 3.6.8 version of the app which has full support for macOS Sonoma is actually working just fine on MacOS Sequoia or at least so it seems but the developers have not released a new update that officially supports MacOS Sequoia in the release notes so I’m reluctant to use an app that isn’t officially optimized for Sequoia

This is the developers website: https://freemacsoft.net/appcleaner/

Does anyone know if they have an upcoming update with full support for macOS sequoia? I tried emailing them a week ago but have not received a reply

Probably because it works fine in Sequoia without an update.
How can we know that for certain though if the developer hasn’t confirmed it? Have you tried using the app to actually remove an unwanted application?

Because I've been running it for years, and currently have it installed on a Mac Studio and MBPro M4, both running the latest version of Sequoia. It removes app files just as well as it always has (which is to say not perfectly, but pretty close).

I’ve been using it for years as well but I just upgraded to MacOS Sequoia and have no clue how compatible the current version of AppCleaner is with the new MacOS. It sounds like you’ve done extensive testing though, did you experience any issues or bugs running the 3.6.8 version on Sequoia whatsoever?

It works fine. Little has changed regarding where files are stored. All AppCleaner is doing is looking in likely places for files related to the app and giving you the opportunity to delete those files. In all cases you are asked to use your judgement as to whether those are appropriate files to remove. That has not changed.

I just installed beta 4 over 15.1.1, and it has broken Boom 3D on my MBP M4. The audio driver does not load, and the app re-springs multiple times. When it finally loads, there is an error prompting you to reinstall the audio driver, but this repeatedly fails.

I just got Borderlands 2 (yes, 2, don't judge) to run on my M4, Sequoia MacBook Pro... I tried everything but then turned-off wifi, restarted Steam in offline mode, boom, it launched and ran (beautifully, for the first time I got to crank-up all the video settings and play at over 90 fps in 4k... crazy for a 12 year old game.

NUKE X Nuke Studio 15.1 - launched as corrupted after my migration from my M1 in MAC OS 14 - deleted, reinstalled... run normally and FAST. Foundry did a great port to Silicon. (Thank you Foundry!)

Bit the bullet and installed Sequoia. In case anyone would care, JSC seems to be working fine so far.
……aaaaaand now it’s broken on 15.2. Awesome!

At least Juniper seems to be aware of the issue, but it is absolutely ridiculous that a minor release would break it. I assume that Apple is at least partly to blame for this.

Ooooookeeee....
Well, I'm still on Sonoma 14.7.1 and I don't know why. I usually upgrade when the first .1 or .2 release is available.

After I back up my HD today I'll proceed with the update.

Anyone want to talk me out of it?
(I've been concerned Claris Works may break but I haven't used it in about 12 years... and I *do* miss the old Talking Moose desk accessory.)

^^^^Years ago, I used WriteNow. I luved it. But, sadly, it was discounted over 30 years ago😱 Boy, how time flies. However, a few years ago, I discovered LibreOffice would open my old WriteNow files. I believe it also opens Claris Works files too👍🏻
