I have the same problem. Upgraded to Sequoia 5 days ago, sent plenty of attachments since (including yesterday). Today, I can't attach anything and have to go to Outlook Web.

Running Version 16.89.2 (24092212)

Oh, interesting. I'm also on that version now and just tried it successfully; I'm unsure why it now works.

After I upgraded to Sequoia my CleanMyMac app start to act up. It keep asking my permission to install helper / make change every time. An even bigger problem is that when I used CleanMyMac to empty the Trash Bin (~20GB), the files disappeared from the trash bin but my storage didn't free up at all and now I don't know where to look to fully delete those trash files from my storage. Does anyone know what to do?

I did a beta upgrade to 15.1 and now my TM is working again...try that...maybe it will help. I did the developer install under System Settings --> Software Update -->. Beta Updates.

Hyperdock
Just got my first M1 Mac with macOS Sequoia Sonoma installed and first thing I did was try to get HyperDock to install. It works, at least as far as for what I use it (which has no alternatives) - the dock icon gestures.

Office (Excel and Word) should be taken off the “working” list; issues with Quick Look and recognition of .xlsx and .docx.
What issues are you having? For me, QuickLook works as expected for .xlsx and .docx.

What version of MS Office?

Do the commands qlmanage -m | grep -i microsoft and qlmanage -m | grep -i openxml show /System/Library/QuickLook/Office.qlgenerator as the QuickLook generator?

Word / Excel version 16.89.1 (24091630) on a 365 subscription.

The output form the commands across the board is:
/System/Library/QuickLook/Office.qlgenerator (47)

I started a thread about this here. Initially, .docx and .xlsx weren't even recognised as Office documents at all (.xlsx had mapped to Skype of all things). PowerPoint, OutLook and Teams are working perfectly for me. I am not the only one affected. I have two machines affected in the exact same way.

Full output for the two commands (which is identical on both of my machines):

qlmanage -m | grep -i microsoft com.microsoft.word.stationery -> /System/Library/QuickLook/Office.qlgenerator (47) com.microsoft.powerpoint.pot -> /System/Library/QuickLook/Office.qlgenerator (47) com.microsoft.powerpoint.pps -> /System/Library/QuickLook/Office.qlgenerator (47) com.microsoft.powerpoint.ppt -> /System/Library/QuickLook/Office.qlgenerator (47) com.microsoft.word.dot -> /System/Library/QuickLook/Office.qlgenerator (47) com.microsoft.excel.xls -> /System/Library/QuickLook/Office.qlgenerator (47) com.microsoft.excel.xlt -> /System/Library/QuickLook/Office.qlgenerator (47) com.microsoft.word.doc -> /System/Library/QuickLook/Office.qlgenerator (47)

qlmanage -m | grep -i openxml org.openxmlformats.wordprocessingml.document -> /System/Library/QuickLook/Office.qlgenerator (47) org.openxmlformats.presentationml.slideshow -> /System/Library/QuickLook/Office.qlgenerator (47) org.openxmlformats.spreadsheetml.sheet -> /System/Library/QuickLook/Office.qlgenerator (47) org.openxmlformats.spreadsheetml.template -> /System/Library/QuickLook/Office.qlgenerator (47) org.openxmlformats.wordprocessingml.template.macroenabled -> /System/Library/QuickLook/Office.qlgenerator (47) org.openxmlformats.spreadsheetml.sheet.macroenabled -> /System/Library/QuickLook/Office.qlgenerator (47) org.openxmlformats.presentationml.slideshow.macroenabled -> /System/Library/QuickLook/Office.qlgenerator (47) org.openxmlformats.spreadsheetml.template.macroenabled -> /System/Library/QuickLook/Office.qlgenerator (47) org.openxmlformats.wordprocessingml.document.macroenabled -> /System/Library/QuickLook/Office.qlgenerator (47) org.openxmlformats.presentationml.presentation -> /System/Library/QuickLook/Office.qlgenerator (47) org.openxmlformats.presentationml.template.macroenabled -> /System/Library/QuickLook/Office.qlgenerator (47) org.openxmlformats.presentationml.presentation.macroenabled -> /System/Library/QuickLook/Office.qlgenerator (47) org.openxmlformats.wordprocessingml.template -> /System/Library/QuickLook/Office.qlgenerator (47) org.openxmlformats.presentationml.template -> /System/Library/QuickLook/Office.qlgenerator (47)

Since the first beta I've been having trouble with Whatsapp Desktop. It works, but if I start typing something and go to another app, when I come back the input box in unresponsive until I quit Whatsapp and open it again. Luckily, the text is not missing, but it's stilll annoying.

Is anybody else seeing this same behaviour?
Yes. I installed Sequoia about a week ago and the latest update/bug fix yesterday. WA has same problem noted here. Annoying! No problems on my iPhone 16 pro. WA is the latest desktop version also.

Ok. Best to continue diagnosis there. But your QuickLook output is the same as mine.

So with acknowledgement and thanks to @sigalf the problem has gone away on both my M2 and Intel i7 machines; the solution was different for both machines - and it turns out I also had the same issue on iOS but hadn't appreciated it (that's solved too). Details on the other thread here. I do not have the expertise to understand why / how this occurred.

Discalimer: have not read the entire thread, sorry if it's been mentioned.
  • Movie Explorer Pro has become rather buggy with network mounted shares in Sequoia
  • Handbrake also has become rather spotty, it keeps forgetting write targets and sometimes fails to recognize source files that were added to it literally minutes before

@workerbee there is an issue with security scoped bookmarks in macOS 15 that happens when the login keychain is unlocked too late, that should be fixed in 15.1. In the meantime I heard some people got it fixed by rebooting in recovery mode, and by repairing the boot disk. Another workaround is to create a new user.

Screen sharing has never not worked for me. I assume you've done all the standard troubleshooting like checking permissions, deleting/re-adding accounts, re-installing the app, etc.?
i've not yet updated, and that issue is still present on the first topic, that's why i'm asking ;)

Camo Camera and Camo Studio are acting up on Gold Master builds (iOS 18.0, macOS 15.0 (24A335)) running respectively on my iPhone 13 Mini and both my M1 Max Mac Studio and 15'' M2 MacBook Air.

The pairing seems to work at first, and Camo Studio does indeed get a continuous feed from Camo Camera, but in all supported apps (Zoom Workplace, Skype, FaceTime…) all I get is a few seconds to a couple of minutes of usable video and then it drops off, and the Camo Camera driver then disappears altogether from the camera selection drop-down list.

Something is amiss with camera driver extensions on Sequoia, I suspect, though it can also be Reincubate's fault, that's for sure. Didn't they test this in Beta builds? Their latest update for macOS was in August, and the one for iOS was, like, yesterday, so I kind of expected that they did. 🤦‍♂️
I forgot to give y'all an update on Camo Camera and Camo Studio.

Shortly after posting this comment, I contacted their support staff via e-mail, and they followed up the same day, asking me for logs and whatnot. I obliged, and about a day later they sent out an update that fixed all the issues.

While I'd much rather have them anticipate these issues and fix them even before the GM macOS builds are released, their turnaround time was still quick enough that disruption to my workflows was just a one week affair.

I guess that had I waited a couple of weeks, or maybe until 15.0.1, before updating, which would be the wise move in a production environment anyway, I would've been spared these issues altogether. It's a bit their fault, and also a bit of PEBCAK for trusting Apple and third-party developers a wee bit too much.

eqMac doesnt work. The App loads, but toggling the effects and EQ on and off does nothing.
Reinstalled eqMac, same. Tried older version. Same. Tried an alternative app from app store - Speaker Amp - no audio output whatsoever.

Evidently something significant has changed in the audio subsystem

Getting a popup about AltTAB every boot, despite clicking "remember to allow"

Other than that.....everything seems....fine
Boom 2 not work propely. On Sonoma all ok. On Sequoia Boom 2 not restore after used FaceTime.

How come AppCleaner hasn’t been officially updated for MacOS Sequoia? Has support for the app been discontinued by the developers?
