Google Drive Client - any luck getting it working?

It has not worked for me on any beta (just spins and spins at 'fetching new changes' like it does not have correct file permissions) except briefly (for 1 day) when Google updated the version from 95.0.0.0 to 95.0.1.0. The next day Google pushed another update to 92.0.2.0 (current) and I am back to the endless attempt 'fetching new changes'.

I also use multiple OneDrive shares and they have always worked perfectly in this beta cycle.

Screen sharing seems to work on the initiating side but on the participant’s side it takes ages to show the screen. Even if it appears, it seems to be frozen and does not advance if the presenter changes something on the screen.

Sharing via web browser is working as expected.

I would try it for you in 15.1, but I don't find a working download link.

Found it in Wayback Machine but the download link always leads to version 1.2 and that is only partly working.

The calendar works and from the other options only quit, also the color is wrong for the menu bar. But I think your much newer version might work. This one is from 2013. I think version 3 is from 2020.

My 1Password 6 from 2018 is also still working.

Edit: Found 2.0 somewhere and everything is working, also the color in the menubar is fine.

It seems you just need an US account for the AppStore and can keep the one for your iCloud-ID.

Didn't now this. I could just try it. I already have two AppStore accounts without making any problems. But both the same country, so I have to create a new one or change the region in one of my many IDs.

I forgot how this is done when payment option "None" and foreign credit cards are not excepted, didn't want to use PayPal, might not work too anyway. For a completely new account I need a phone number. Don't know if a foreign one works. Too much work for me now. Maybe I trie it another day. Still wondering where my US-ID is, that I created years ago.

I changed region for my second AppStore ID in the AppStore and in System Settings.

Maybe it's just the VPNs on both devices.


P.S.: If you change the account in "Media and Purchases" on your iPhone be careful if this 90 days block warning might affect you.

Can't find a free trial version and in the AppStore it's only available for iOS.

Wow, just noticed my purchases are still there in my second AppStore account that I changed to U.S. yesterday. The last time I did this everything was gone until switching back. But that's a while ago.

15.1 Beta (24B5035e): it seems attaching files in Outlook is broken, regardless of whether I use drag & drop or the attach dialog. They just don't appear. If I then open the Outlook web app, drag them in there, and re-open the draft in the Outlook Mac app, they're there.

I have noticed that the fan control in iStat Menus 7 is not operational in 15.1. Everything else seems to be working fine.

Soundsource 5.7.0 on 2020 iMac has really bad distorted sound. If I close the program the distortion is gone.
Uninstalled/reinstalled, still distorted.

Update : Settings > Audio > move slider to "More Reliable" fixes the problem.
