I’m a holdout. If you bought a Mac for the first time today you’d barely notice hot corners and the like.
i've tried nearly every option in osx and then mac os, but don't need most of it; i need my apps to work. when i'm done in, say, calendar, i 'command-h" it. i switch between apps with the app switcher (there's a redundant sentence!)

i think apple sometimes provides too many gimmicky things, and i imagine that most people never use most of those things (only forum ppl here and 4 guys at a tech site).

but i'd rather have things i don't use but could if i wanted, than not.

Anyone has noticed the bug where the Music app is using dedicated graphics card? It exists since the first dev beta version.

I tried to reset SMC to stop powerd from spiking, but then the OS would shut down with an error message after booting.

I reinstalled everything and am back to Monterey for the moment at least.

Anyone else seen issues with Logitech devices and kbm-type behaviour? I have a Dell monitor with a keyboard/mouse/webcam/microphone connected via usb to my Studio (also HDMI for the video etc) and via USB-C to a laptop. These always switched perfectly when I moved from the HDMI to the usb-c input but now they don't show up properly in Ventura. Mostly, only the webcam shows up. Sometimes a reboot fixes it and sometimes using a different usb socket helps.

Was always ok before s this is either a Ventura bug or it's exposing a Logitech or Dell bug.......

On the latest beta, the login screen no longer displays my own wallpaper but only the default Ventura wallpaper.
Is anyone else seeing that? Is there a solution for that maybe?

Anyone else seeing applications "forgetting" their new size after changing and reverting to default size?

Yes Public Beta 2 "Powerd" is a root thing, sits at 103.x% constantly, never clears, I shut it down in Activity Monitor and its back in moment. Shut off my 2017 iMac, unplugged and a SMC reset no difference.
Only started with this beta.

the fans run for some time, but do eventually (at least here) shut off. definitely annoying tho. if someone finds a workaround, please post! and guess we have to wait for next beta...

found this post this morning; it works within about a minute, at least on my machine
I am seeing the same thing on my iMac 2020.
I use this terminal command to fix it temporarily:

% sudo pmset schedule cancelall

Thank you that has shut off the "powerd" task. Interesting I have yet to find the scheduling section that used to be under energy saver

Today, started getting crash/reboots when system is put to sleep and also with locked screen.

Since first beta up to beta 4 of macOS 13 i have a bug(see attached video) when switching between fullscreen applications with CMD+TAB brings you to Desktop instead of app Space. And by fullscreen i mean real fullscreen turned by CMD+CTR+F where one view of application covers full Space.

can someone please check if he has this bug? It's super annoying and Apple hadn't fixed it yet, so i start thinking, maybe it's some local bug for me. It seems, like Apple has broken "When switching to an application, switch to Space..." configuration in Mission Control...

Steps to reproduce:
1. Ensure, you have checked option in System Settings > Destop & Dock > Mission Control > When switching to an application, switch to a Space with open windows for the application
2. Open two apps in fullscreen mode (cmd + ctrl + F). In my video i have open Safari and iTerm2
3. Try to switch between those 2 applications with Cmd + Tab

Observed behavior: Only Space for one application opens, while for second application the Desktop Space is opened

Expected behavior: CMD+TAB opens the Space with corresponding Fullscreen app, and you are not switched to Desktop.

P.S. No any external window managing application like Magnet, AltTab are used or installed on my machine.

After updating to latest Ventura beta, the Safari app is still broken. Selecting All and None just doesn't work properly, either opened windows not coming to the front or not able to select opened windows in a different desktop. Anybody else having this issue?

I don't think it's a specific Safari issue, see video posted above, it's a window management issue system-wide.

Starting with last week's beta(s), my iPhone 13 will not sync with my 2020 M1 MBA. I get the The contents of the iPhone “SB iPhone 13” could not be read. Click Restore to restore this iPhone to factory settings." warning. Restarting my Mac and iPhone resolves it, until the next morning when I attempt to sync again.

Reported via Feedback.

Anyone else having something like this?
