I also get random glitches in iMessage like if I type"didnt" instead of "didn't", it doesn’t autocorrect, but deletes the whole word.
the web address thing is working today (for some reason). so, just a glitch. i've never used autocorect, so not sure what's happening for you.

we're on a beta, there will be bugs, glitches... but still glad i'm here 😎

I reported this very annoying bug in Mission Control. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Finder functions don't work when Mission Control hot corner for showing Desktop is activated. For example, when I double click on a hard drive icon on the desktop to open it nothing happens. When I press “control-I” to get info on an icon on the desktop nothing happens. When I click on a Finder menu nothing happens. This all occurs when I have all the windows hidden except the Desktop using Mission Control’s show Desktop hot corner.

Yep. It's a windowing issue that manifests itself in different ways including this. Also used to use the show desktop hot corner and have had to change this habit for the moment.

and ~ does not work in applications such as Safari or Finder to switch between app windows. I suspect this is a glitch related to Stage Manager.

yes, it's been discussed (and reported!). i can't use that command to switch between windows in apps either (ie logic, pages). frustrating, but hopefully fixed in the next beta 👍

i don't use stage manager...

On PB2, M1 Max pro 32GB 16" I see the 'netbiosd' spinning taking up to ~125% CPU.
This occurs when not actively using any SMB shares, and despite shutting down most apps.
Kill/restart does not help (and I also see a kernel crash).

Otherwise PB2 seems solid, and oddly I don't recollect seeing any issue with netbiosd in the first 2 days, then it started.

I reported this too. If anyone gets a chance to see if this has been fixed in Beta 5, please let me know. Definitely the most annoying bug for me.

Updated to beta 5. Weird lag / pause when entering Mission Control or calling up the app switcher.
Hope its fixed by a restart as this will definitely require me to go back to 12.5...

Edit: fixed with a restart. Weird...

Zero internet access here, too. Both WiFi and Ethernet didn't work. Network Prefs Pane shows valid IP address for both WiFi and Ethernet. Uninstalled Little Snitch, VPN extensions; still no joy. Disabled WiFi and tried Ethernet alone; and vice versa. I'm stymied.

Rolled back to Monterey by erasing boot disk and reinstalling Monterey, then restored from Time Machine backup. One weird problem after restore is that Mail will not launch. Throws up an alert that the Mail Library can't be read, needs a newer version of Mac OS. This one really has me perplexed, as the backup was from before I installed Ventura.

have had the same problem since the first beta of macOS Ventura and in the end it was little snitch that creates a rule, and even if you uninstall it it remains. You will have to enter the system configuration and delete it or you will not be able to connect to the internet either by wifi or by cable although everything appears correct in IPv4. Then you install again little snitch beta version for ventura and all OK. I hope that helps you. Greetings.

I was able to fix my wi-fi issue by deleting the Wi-Fi service: System Settings > Network > Wi-Fi ⓘ > Delete Service.
Then, re-adding the service: Add Service > Wi-Fi.

Confirming this works (though I don't know why) on Beta 5.

Is anyone else having issues downloading the "language pack" for Voice Control? I keep getting the following error. Have tried this at all hours of the day and have tried downloading while in Safe Mode. No luck.

Not many listed fixes in the release notes...concentrating on iOS I think.
I can't believe it... beta 5 and the annoying bug with Spaces/Finder is still there... taking summer holidays at Apple?
huh, a beta that hasn't fixed everything yet... 🤔

bugs are frustrating, sometimes intensely so. but that's the life of a beta-tester. doesn't mean (or prove) that the development team at apple isn't working hard, or that they're 'concentrating on iOS'. go over to the iOS 16 forum, and ppl there will have the same complaints.

if you sign up to run betas (and am reminding myself as well), be prepared for bugs, weird moments, cranky apps, etc.

Nobody expected it to fix everything...

Slight overreaction to a factual comment on sparse release notes. Have you read them? Most are either known issues or notices of deprecation...two resolved, in SwiftUI.

And the windowing bug is a humdinger that hopefully tons of people have reported so I am actually surprised it didn't get a workaround mention at least...

Where's the public beta darn it! If I'm going to moan about something I need to know what I'm moaning about! ;)

didn't feel like an overreaction to me; just a reaction. but that's what makes life interesting, all our different opinions.

Notifications is nagging me every few minutes to insert a google password when I use the right one it says error. The whole notifications panel is buggy as hell and some parts not functional at all.

here, public beta 3 (9august) -

the 'powerd' issue still happening, and still cannot use cmmnd ` to switch between open windows (ie in safari, or pages, etc). so it goes.

anyone else?

Spaces issue seems fixed for me in PB3...

EDIT: specifically the one where moving a window to another space would make the window invisible
