I had the same isssue. I uninstalled LS and MS and my VPNs. Works much better in that it actually works. I’m using ProtonVPN with IKE2 and it’s working well. Mullvad flat out said they won’t have anything until it’s released. Didn’t follow-up with PIA but they always have beta issues.

Hope this helps.
Thank you, I'll try uninstalling NordVPN instead of disabling. I've tried uninstalling Little Snitch and still not working. What's MS?

Edit: Uninstalled NordVPN as well, and updated to Beta 2 while in Safe Mode.. Wifi still not working.

I also tried hotspot to my iPhone and still no internet connection. No one else having this issue?

How does one perform an update from safe mode? My Mac just reboots every minute or so. I will need to either update from safe mode or reinstall beta 2 from recovery.

MS is MicroSnitch. Nothing to do with Wi-Fi. I’d download and install Appcleaner and reinstall LS. Reboot and use Appcleaner to remove LS again. Hard boot. Make sure your DNS is set correctly. THis may help,

Because it does appear to be random, in that the identical situation does not always produce the WindowServer to crash, I am slowly narrowing down when it occurs. I've quit each of my applications in turn and then allowed the laptop to go to sleep and see if the WindowServer crashes upon being awakened.

So far I've narrowed it down to be not dependent on any of my applications. And it isn't even dependent on the laptop going to sleep. It doesn't happen without an external display attached. It happens, randomly, after the external display turns off but the laptop is still awake -- when a key is pressed to turn the displays back on, the WindowServer will occasionally crash -- not always, but occasionally. If I use a screen saver instead of allowing the displays to turn off, then the WindowServer does not crash -- at least not for the last two days.
Beta 2 much worse for me on the intel MacBook Pro. WindowServer "reliably" crashes on every restart of the machine even before getting to the desktop. M1 MacBook Pro does not have this problem.

Whoa! Thanks for letting me know, as I was about to switch my Intel MBP to Ventura Beta but now I think I'll wait. At least on the M1 MBP the WindowServer only crashes randomly when awaking the external display under Ventura Beta 1.
I was also about to install Beta 2 on the M1 MBP, but I may wait on this also.

May I ask what equipment you have attached to your Intel MBP? Thanks.

Are other's seeing weird issues with Expose where the windows are redrawn in a different place than they should be? ie, you can't click the top bar to drag them? Also seeing Apple Mail blank out if you do App Expose.

I remember finding it with B1 (although it took a while to work out where it had been moved to) but can't find it now in B2.

If you search settings for "DNS" it does find some entries but clicking on them does nothing useful.

Thank god you posted this to confirm that I wasn't losing my mind (at least about this). I filed it as a bug – I can get to Ethernet advanced settings, but clicking on "Details" for a WiFi connection just gives the tiniest bit of info.

I have a notification badge in my System app, but cannot see anything that needs updating. Anyone else? Know of a fix?

Update: Fixed, just needed to sign out and back in again. Although this messed up a bunch of my contact photos.

I altered my DNS servers using the Terminal commandlines (under bash):

sudo networksetup -getdnsservers Wi-Fi -->
8.8.8.8
sudo networksetup -setdnsservers Wi-Fi 8.8.8.8 8.8.4.4
sudo networksetup -getdnsservers Wi-Fi -->
8.8.8.8
8.8.4.4
scutil --dns -->
...
nameserver[0] : 8.8.8.8
nameserver[1] : 8.8.4.4
...

I think that this has worked under Ventura Beta 2.
(the --> arrow indicates that what follows is the output from the command)

In addition, I wonder if this can be made permanent by editing the file:

/Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/preferences.plist

Any ideas? How should the preferences.plist be properly edited? defaults? plutil? Say:

sudo plutil preferences.plist -insert ServerAddresses -string 8.8.4.4 -append

I haven't tried this yet.

still no joy for Mighty Mouse in the prefpane but plist dropping appears to work now. you can assign squeeze buttons to exposé things by setting binds to button 4 in Mission Control prefs.

Started running into an issue with Safari where nothing in browser window is clickable. I can still use the browser controls, however. The only way to fix this is to quit and relaunch Safari. Anyone else have this issue?

Haven't seen this one posted, so a little warning. Dunno if it reproduces or I was the only one affected, but using a MBP M1 13", doing the "Erase Content and Settings" thing, left me in a soft lock state. It asked me for machine activation, which is normal and asked me to connect to wifi.

The wifi menu item never shows up in the recovery mode, so you're stuck on the activation screen.
Luckily I had a monterey usb done so I was able to boot into that, reinstall it and re upgrade to Ventura.

Again, dunno if it is reproducible, but be careful.

And yes, it is avoidable with some steps.

Screen mirroring to Apple TV is not working (at least on my 2020 iMac with external screen), goes black and only choppy audio gets sent to Apple TV. No way of exiting screen mirroring except for a forced restart

Install went great on my Mac Mini M1, used an external SSD and bar for a couple of my progs not working all was good, up came an update and I clicked install and it downloaded ok but for some reason is stuck on "getting update ready" the light on my external SSD is flashing to show its working but it's been "hanging" for over an hour now.

Beta 1 was pretty stable for me, but Beta 2 keeps panicking at some point when I step away from my Mac Mini (m1) and it goes into display sleep. Has anyone else experienced reboots when their machine has been idle for a while?

The only thing I can dig out of the panic log is it might be related to a “watchdog” process or framework. Other than that, I’m at a loss.

I've not had a single crash with either beta (Intel MBA) apart from when I installed Cisco AnyConnect (VPN). Then it wouldn't stop crashing :) Uninstalling fixed it.
