Sometimes I make beer...and I'm often happy when brewing. This time I was especially happy after pitching the 6th bottle of yeast into a 70 gallon batch made with the local brew club! (I was the yeast master for this brew)

Since it's me birthday and I'm up (in an only slightly altered state, thanks to Guinness), I'm posting a shot from this same 24 hour period last year. I got to celebrate last years significant birthday (one of the zeros) in Ireland. Party on Gus!

I just did up this comparison graphic for something else and I was reminded that while I posted the photo on the right here before, I never posted the photo on the left. That is a before/after comparison of when I decided to get my butt in gear and lose weight. took about 4-5 months of extremely hard work, but I think it was worth it.

I tried to get it so that the windowblinds and ceiling line behind me were level, but just couldn't get it to work. Makes me look creepy. (The lighting helps, there.)
